You may not realise it but you have an awesome gift from God. Your vision is something that few people have and the ease with which you guide your tools cannot be described with mere words. Thank you for sharing your gift with us.
Thanks I truly appreciate that. There is something alluring to me about spending time in the shop focused like this. It’s a ton of work though 😂
I’m a 16 year old woodturner, and your videos are fascinating and this piece is beautiful. Cheers
Thank you! You’re in! Happy turning!
With plenty of tears in the world right now, its great to see someone bringing some cheers instead of tears... Cheers with Beers and no tears I say!! great work...
Thank you Jadon! You’re in!
Takes a brave man to go into that spinning mayhem with a chisel. Great video. Thank you.
Thanks David!
Absolutely one of the most interesting projects I have seen you create. May you be safe, healthy and in great spirits during the time of chaos. Raise a cup and wish cheers to the caregivers out there fighting the fires. God bless you always.
Cheers! I appreciate that! You're in!
There were a couple of times that I said “he’s crazy, that’s thin enough “ but I’m glad you didn’t listen. Beautiful piece. Cheers to you and the next piece. 👊🏼

This turn had me guessing to the very end! Well done! Beautiful! I watch your videos and many others who do wonderful works of art like this almost every night as I go to sleep. I’ve had many health issues that have kept me isolated far longer than the current pandemic. I’m OK, though! God is good! Cheers! -Jack

Amazing job, my 13 year old showed me this. He misses woodshop, so you're helping through the long boring days. Cheers!
Thanks James! You’re in! You inspire me! Cheers to always learning!
@@DavidAdamsen He is trying! Virtual learning starts on Monday here. Hope all is well at your home!
You had me turning blue here at every move! I was looking at every single carve wondering where is that going to lead. That's called thinking outside of the box! I hope to see more of these ingenious turns from you!
Thank you so much, Adrian!
Makes me want to go out and purchase a wood lathe and try to make such beautiful articles.....
Would properly loose a finger or knuckle. Looks so easy....so much skill and understanding of the
Wood, the tools as well as an artistic idea of what’s locked inside that block of wood.
It’s mesmerising watching these videos ......Thanks for showing all of us what you can do.
Eddy
Thanks I appreciate that, Edwin!
It is fascinating when it appears you are getting chips from thin air. It cheers me up so very much!

Hello David.
This is the first time that I watched your channel. I have a recent fascination and respect with watching wood turning and your channel popped up in my feed. Absolutely beautiful artwork! I would have subscribed even without your giveaway. Thank you for showing your work!
Cheers,
Lisa
Thanks very much Lisa! You’re in!
As a woodworker, I found this video very intriguing as I had no idea of the planned result. It seemed very dangerous to create. Awesome job & cheers!
Thanks! You’re in!
Good old UA-cam. I had been cursing their recommendations when this popped up.
I was on the edge of my seat, half expecting your hand to get mangled by the spinning wood but you obviously know what you're doing. I don't think i've ever seen that shape turned before either, so well done and cheers for the excellent upload.
I hope everyone stays safe and we'll all get through to the other side of this. All the best from Plymouth in south west England.
Thanks I appreciate that! You’re in!
Cheers from Texas. Stay sane during this troubling time. Love watching you work.

Adam seems to have such a cheery outlook and produces some exceptional pieces of art. The sunset at the end is spectacular.

good grief. I only found your channel just today, but I'm already finding my eyes glued to the screen until deep in the night. So mesmerising to watch you turn a hunk of wood into a piece of art. Wish I had such skill. Cheers!

Cheers, from Russia with love! This is by far the best I've seen from woodturning. My wife marvelled at this art! Keep up the art and push the limits!
Thanks very much Ivan! You’re in!
@@DavidAdamsen i wonder how this thing holds together when you spin it. Has it ever flown into your face or something? It must be dangerous, i guess. I remenber doing woodturning back in the school days, I wish someone told me then that you can be more creative than a little rough birch vase)
Omg!! That is the most beautiful piece I've seen made. Watching the process was truly amazing. Cheers my friend you have made a true work of art.

What a spectacular example of fine craftsmanship! The process from end to end is truly a wonderful journey! Keep up the good work and thank you for posting this. Cheers 🍷

Awesome.
You are more than ENGINEERS
GREAT
This is absolutely gorgeous. It reminded me of St Brigid's Cross. Cheer's to you, for the amazing talent indeed.🙋♀️
Thanks Alison!
I kept waiting for that one finger slip error which would have made a big thunk on the video and made you say "dern it, dern it, dern it all no cheers for me today" and could have cost you a trip to the emergency room. As a former Safety Engineer though, I noticed you had your hand and fingers firmly located behind the tool rest. This gave me a lot of cheers; also, you gave the viewer an impressive piece of wood art. Thanks a bunch.
Thanks Larry! You’re in! It was a little dicey, especially when sanding with the lathe on.
I have always loved working with wood. It's so relaxing. Thanks for letting us enjoy your work. Cheers, from Arizona.
Thanks Scott! You’re in!
Cheers, I really like how you took a ordinary cube and turned it around an unusual axis and got a unique piece....and the missing knot was genius. It ties back to the origin of the burl but without breaking the sophistication of the shape. Magical piece.
Thank you so much Michael!
Watching the piece spin on the lathe is almost as mesmerizing as the finished part itself! Another beautiful job, please keep up the great videos, cheers!
Thanks, Kurt! You're in!
WOW!! I am in total awe of watching these folks take other wise unusable wood and turn them into magnificent!

@@DavidAdamsen Ne çekilişi?
"Cheers" originated from the old French word chiere which meant “face” or “head.” By the 18th century, it meant “gladness,” and was used as a way of expressing encouragement.
So face, head and gladness David :)
Thanks! You’re in! I never knew that!
The word 'Bistro' comes from the Russians yelling "Hurry Up!" to French cafe workers when they invaded Paris in 1814.
I enjoy watching you work wood and you create such beautiful and interesting pieces, watching you work always cheers me up.
Blessings
Brian from Bend, Oregon.
Thank you Brian! You’re in!
Beautiful piece of art David Awesome job.
Thanks!
Cheers to you and your skills. I'd love to get to this level of wood turning. Really beautiful stuff.
Thanks, Steven! You're in!
I've recently started watching your channel and am amazed by some of your ideas and concepts. Like what you did with this Maple burl. Which definitely turned out very beautiful. I don't have a lathe yet, but am working towards one. A slow process, but I love watching others do it. I feel I am learning in advance before I get my hands on learning. Which I know will be another slow process. But I know I'll get there. Cheers mate. And thanks for the videos. I will continue to watch and learn.
Thank you so much, Daniel! Hope you end up turning!
I am loving passing my social distancing time watching your channel. Your work is brilliant. Thank you for posting. Please everyone stay home, be safe! Cheers to you, Mr. Adamsen.
Cheers! I love this ❤️❤️❤️ and watching wood turning is bringing me peace right now. I keep sharing these videos to my Facebook hoping it brings peace to someone else. When this is all over I want my new job to be a wood turner 👍

This must have required so much patience, and the end result is absolutely beautiful. Could be interesting to do something similar with a cube comprised of layers of different woods. Cheers mate :-)

Cheers for lightening up a locked down UK. Love that burl and what an unusual piece! I'm a cake decorator and amateur but qualified arborist- might have to have a go at woodturning next!

Beautiful piece of art once again David. Your thought pattern never ceases to amaze me. Did you always know you wanted to create this from that piece of wood? Hi from Australia 🇦🇺
Sue Quinney Thanks Sue, well it was a step by step adventure, with an idea to start the got refined as I went. This method opens up so many other ideas!
I'm still trying to wrap my head around how he got 2 layers of 3 points from a freaking CUBE!
But beautifully done!!
Thanks David!
I could watch that all day long. working with wood has always been a passion of mine since I was a teenager. In my 60's now and looking forward to being able to spend much more time doing what I love. You are truly an artist. Oh, and CHEERS to you

I always thought “cheers” was something important to folks down under in Australia or New Zealand... at any rate... cheers to you! It is good to have a light and happy heart! A good synonym for cheers...merry. A Bible verse... A merry heart doeth good like a medicine.
As for this maple bowl that you have made....it is phenomenally incredible the skill you have! This is the first of your video’s I’ve watched! Hooked! I subscribed not just for the chance to display that beautiful bowl here in my office but also due to the incredible vision, talent, and artwork I see in this video! I also appreciate the good music you had playing softly in the background...added much more “cheers” to the watching! God bless you real well!

I am a lady just turned 70, I discovered wood turning a few months ago, I find it absolutely fascinating, cheers for a lovely video.
Thanks! You’re in! Happy Birthday and Happy Turning!
Cheers to you for your distinctive turning of the burl bowl. Thank you for all your content as it is very instructive. I do not have a wood lathe, so I cannot do that type of turning. I do have a small metal lathe which I have attempted some turning, but nothing of note.

This is such a fascinating shape! I love how it turned out. Question, what is the reasoning behind sanding, adding lemon oil, sanding again, and then using the sanding sealer?
Watching your channel more than anything else has inspired me to reach out to a friend with a lathe and get back to a hobby I used to love. Once all the orders for isolation we are going to work together on relearning old skills and then expanding on them. So Cheers! And thank you.
Very good question... I'd like to know that too. Thanks
Had the same question
Cheers, Amy! You're in! I didn't show all the sanding, but I had to let the piece sit overnight after I sanded till about 1:30 AM. Because I had to walk away from the piece I wanted to protect it from cracking. I also think using lemon oil brings out the color more in the wood.
Cheers! Very recently turned on to this channel. Not a woodworker. Just love beautiful wood!
