I prefer warrior to fighter, but don’t give them springboard because that’s all they’ll do at really odd times… just crouching and staring at the ground, while you get tossed about like a nunchuck 😂
my pawns do it when im trying to get up high, mnight look like random times, but they tend to do it when you are trying to get up a large face edge... I love the ai in this game
I was playing with a warrior pawn and I was a sorcerer trying to cast spells. He kept running away from the boss and throwing me at the boss in the middle of my spell cast. Would happen at least every 20 seconds. I was so mad
@@jaytoochill_ exactly what I experienced
Yeah, I had the same experience when I recruited a warrior with the launch. I haven't seen a fighter do it, but when a drake attacked Vernworth, the warrior kept focusing on launching us towards the drake, but we were mage, sorcerer, magick archer. I was so pissed by the time the drake flew away, the warrior earned a date with the Brine for his hard work in saving the drake from harm. Wish I would've checked the inclination.
I just wanna take a minute to appreciate Italian for always making real videos and not worrying about all the youtube bs and dropping an f-bomb every so often
only reason i clicked on this video instead of the other ones is that the title was 'favorite' and not "BEST TEAM COMPS IN THE GAME!!!!"
Exactly, just subbed also because of that.
Hallidom is the cure and argent tonic/succor is the target heal 😂 celerity is haste
Was going to say this. No surprise someone beat me to it.
Hahaha jesus, I really butchered that man - thank you so much for keeping me honest. Apologies bros!
I've had a pretty steady comp of support mage and tank warrior. My calm main pawn started as a fighter and then tank warrior, but after I switched him to Thief and kept all the tank augments I haven't been able to switch him off. Formless feint, implicate, plunder, and masterful kill is just *chef's kiss*.
I LOVE this concept. I've been wracking my brain trying to find combos like this. Ty! The typical game is just too easy.
Some good ideas here, ive been running fighter with two buff mages for a while and i love it. Im constantly getting access to all buffs for whatever damage type and i love protecting my girls with my divine defense while a dragon is trying to blast us with fire.
every combo is good, some players are in your face, others like range, one thing I have not seen mentioned is that ALL armor and weapons are usable by any lvl player, and all classes are open to one plater , best set up ive seen in 20 years. Thank you for the info.
I usually go whichever vocation I'm play currently + Warrior, Mage and Sorcerer. Always works amazingly
For me nearly same, usually mage sorcerer and fighter, then my current vocation
This, but I make sure mage has heal, and lightning affinity...then warrior...and the 4th is always open, and depends on what vocation I run...puts the game on easy mode tho...
Been playing as me a thief and pawn a mage I'm using the augment and ring that makes things target me more and using masterful kill and formless feint to parry or avoidance tank got my pawn with the status effect cleanse master skill and the move that blocks a attack while my other two abilities is skull splitter and the move that puts fire on my daggers. And I have been loving it
I've played my first time with 4 pawns, made 86h on steam and thought that the game as pretty easy. Now I'm in NG+ with Warfarrer(No shield Fighter+Archer) + Main Pawn (Warrior) with some difficulty mods to spice things up. Pretty nice experience, you can really learn and feel the amazing combat in the game and really needs to think through situations, craft potions, use the enviroment and elevation, survival itens etc to get through some challanges.
Mage and 3 rogues was probably my most fun but I love all these ideas
playing with party comps, seeing what works and what doesn’t is what truly caused me to be enamored for the first game. i even made a second account and power leveled to max just so that i could have a second fully customizable pawn. the trickster is the ultimate embodiment of this, as it allows the rest of the party to do whatever the hell they want. as for trickster party comps, i recommend going all in on sorcerers as they benefit the most from not having aggro on them. sometimes i throw a thief, archer, or warrior in instead of all sorcs but never a fighter as they mess with my aggro management
Saw something about Trickster and 3 Sorcerers. That's a lot of damage... switch the Sorcerers for Archers. It's a shooting gallery.
I like hiring mages that have high levin and at least 1 elemental buff prefer ice and the other 2 as whatever buff/heal. Has worked well for me.
I would think the Trickster could work really well in a 3 warrior pawn set up if for no reason you can group most of the enemies into one area and significantly lower the amount of damage that goes out to your pawns, plus you get to juice their damage though that will obviously be the damage they take instead.
The problem would be having to play trickster
@@Fernthe_plant Which is only a problem if you suck.
@Wordgoblin 1. Lets be real, this game is not hard lol 2. The trickster is outclassed by other support vocations and the geneal consensus is that its just not that fun of a vocation with the current skills
@Wordgoblin can probably just make a better support build with warfarer while being able to contribute to some damage
@@Fernthe_plant From what I've seen, the only people who find the vocation boring are the ones who expect to do damage with it. Once you free yourself from that burden, there is plenty of fun to be had. If you never play the trickster, then how do you know the combo is bad or ineffective?
Played a Mage to rank up the Vocation, High Levin, Halodine, Celerity, Argent. Keep Halodine up all the time. Pre buff your party. Quick cast Levin and keep hitting them with lightning strikes. Barely need to heal.
Blades of Fyre w/Formless Feint is the most OP combo. It negates the - max HP from Fyre. But your gonna get OP and mostly it will be too easy
I love this game, 100+ hours and stopped main quest to explore everything.
my favorit party comp is *ME*
spearhand shield, explosive arrow, a element buff or a dash and a mage staff
For my support mage I run Celerity, Celestial Pean, Haildom, and Palidum. Boons aren’t necessary for me as things die quick enough without it. Pus without a boon my mage will cast the stamina pean really often giving infinite stam
most of the enemies die before the pawns get a chance to do any real damage. It's only against drakes, chimera, griffons these would have the time to show off. Even cyclops, orges, and minatours all die too fast. Like many ppl, I wished NG+ wouldve up'd the health and dmg and aggressiveness of enemies. Big miss by Capcom here. Otherwise, such a fun game minus lack of decent storyline. Thanks for your videos, so informative and well made.
Honestly love just me being an archer with one thief pawn, go full JJK jumping
5:50...yay im not the only one the game does this to! Super annoying when you're trying to screen record with windows, cause it stops the recording...
I kinda feel bad for switching up my pawns vocations and builds. Been trying to do an unarmed or fist and shield for the hell of it
I loved thieves. But no idea why, when I reached lvl 40, all the thief pawns sucked. They would die so quickly it made them useless. But earlier lvls, they were so amazing. Mage, wizard and 2 thieves. That was my team. But now I have to use 2 warriors in their place. Yes I've checked equipment, Vocation lvl, gear, skills loaded and so on. Just so odd.
Also, if you want to make the REALLY hard, bring no pawns. At all. Brine your main and never touch a riftstone again (except when needed for quests. )
Thief + mage . No ultimate skill ! Good combo
@6:27 All i thought was "Archer Bro, im knocked down. Help."
That first comp, using the shield, letting mages burn down the eng game dragons so i never even need to rest is by far the easiest way to beat endgame. For fun just playing the game, its a rogue hands down.
4 warriors. Carnage!
No one is allowed to stand!
Another self nerve people could do to make the game more difficult as to wear lower level armor. Armor has a really big impact in this game.
Back in DD1 we used to dress for fashion not function. Sad how that seems to be lost in DD2.
Celerity is a speed buff.
i enjoy being an archer while my pawn is a mage with two thieves
Im doing Warfarer, mage, Thief and warrior.
Mages Celerity is speed increase buff spell not heal...
Not a great start to party composition if we mess up the spell names is it...
I strongly recommend playing solo it’s the most fun and challenging
4 BIG GUYS
"All the vocations are good." Let me introduce you to trickster.
Correct, because the Trickster isn't only good, it's awesome.^^
Even the trickster isn't terrible. Still wouldn't play an entire run with it, but it's obviously functional as a 100% support class.
You could probably do some sick buff arisen when you pick warfarer and mix it with the wizard.
I'm disappointed that Capcom still haven't figured out how to make the pawns not use abilities that won't help you much in certain situations. For example, warrior and fighter pawns use springboard too much in battle even if my Arisen is a mage or sorcerer. Mages with only one enchant skill will also use the spell even if they know that the current enemy is resistant to it. A hired mage pawn with fire enchant kept enchanting everyone's weapons when we were fighting against a drake, despite her saying the enemy "resists fire".
My mage doesnt have an affinty cause endgame enchanted gear is just better and you really dont have to worry about damage types until they release hard mode. The difficulty is a joke in its current state.
Also way too situational. I'm usually not aware what I'm going to fight while on the road, so what am I supposed to bring? I'm also missing light/dark affinity. What happened to those Capcom?
Nice one, but the game is too easy after lvl 50!! Ng+ is too easy. No challenge at all….😮 and what about the trickster and the warmaster?
Bro
Im getting sick and tired of the plague.
Too easy game on high level.:((
