As a Torah observant Christian I have not found where polygamy is prohibited in the Bible. We are provided the example of G_d's perfect design of marriage being 1 man & woman as demonstrated by Adam and Eve. We also see the problems of polygamy as shown in the patriarchs polygamist unions, (Abraham, David, Solomon etc). With that in mind we are still required by the Bible to obey man's law. If it has been de criminalized there is no legal reason Biblical or otherwise one can't practice it but wisdom and common sense probably stops the majority of us from doing it. Hope this helps clear up a few things.
As believer's we are responsible for living a righteous example. We also need to study the word diligently to know what sin is. The Bible doesn't prohibit polygamy and it was practiced by the patriarchs. Though we see the many problems of polygamy through those same patriarchs though they are called righteous. It is wisdom that leads the majority of us to practice monogamy but not Biblical law. The Biblical law tells us what sin is. Of course if you are aware of a Biblical commandment I missed please feel free to enlighten me. I am just a believer not a theologian
The Bible doesn't prohibit polygamy. In fact it gives instructions on how to select rival wives. You are not in the position to declare something sin when the Bible does not say so. Fornication is sin and adultery by sleeping with a married woman is sin. Polygamy is not sin.

@@Uninspired.Spectator Lots of traumatized mormons in the comments. Polygamy isn't just for mormons, you mormons!
Why isn’t fornication illegal???
It’s Utah…
Brazil has Polygamy and Has no problem
So why Does The United States
Umm Brazil is also one of the most corrupted places. I’m all for polygamy for adults to be legal but poor comparison.
Brazil had polygamy? I am Brazilian and never heard that.
I'm Brazilian and polygamy is not allowed in Brazil.
Taxes.
I say eliminate tax breaks for marriage and children. They are all choices. all adults must pay their fair share of taxes
@@carsi7282 that's easy have you figured out business-tax wow loopholes and traps golre, so figuring out 5-marriage tax is doable

Polygamy is not prohibited in the Bible. There are even instructions on rival wives.
Disgusting
Mentally ill for sure.

I like polygamy. 👍👍 cuts down on cheating outside the marriage and you don't feel obligated to sleep with the same partner nightly.
They must be charged
Nah! I support men engaging in heterosexual polygamy. Hopefully there'll be more men for me!

This law was repealed
Legalizing sin does more harm because it encourages adultery.
😂😂😂😂😂😂
The Bible doesn't prohibit polygamy. In fact it gives instructions on how to select rival wives. You are not in the position to declare something sin when the Bible does not say so. Fornication is sin and adultery by sleeping with a married woman is sin. Polygamy is not sin.
@@MrEliasdl well then you should be happy with your wife having other husbands
@@dianawilliams6700 nowhere in the Bible is that allowed. It's adultery to sleep with a man's wife.
Ok for men to decide how many wives but women can't choose how many children they want.

All religions besides Christianity permit polygamy. And isn't the argument that the "Govt. has no say in the bedroom of consenting adults"?
Ifyou don't wanna do it, then don't. let others live their life. pushing things underground is the cause of all the abuse.
