@A H the Bible was written by men, ancient Arab men. No one think of it like that ever, they prefer to believe it was magically written by God. Many books were written and not included, man chose which books should be included. Yes I know it is Godly inspired but I doubt every word was, it is extremely biased at times and much was lost in translation.

My ten year old had his mouth hanging open through half of this program. When they illustrated the moving of girls and selling of babies, he yelled “That’s Human Trafficking!! And kidnapping!” If a ten year old can plainly see it, then these states have no excuse for what they continue to do.

They read, regarding my mother, “the mother is in denial and delusional, with poor reality orientation.” I was taken from the home not because I was “troubled,” but abused by my stepfather, turned out, etc. I wouldn’t testify against my mother for neglect and abuse, despite the charges being true. They weren’t leveled by me, but the state. Today I regret not doing so because it didn’t help her. Survivors, please don’t EVER feel guilty for telling the truth. Your survival skills are brave either way. But I wish I had given my mother the opportunity to change by prosecuting. Now, her denial is so deep there is no help for her. When people are as unaware of what’s socially unacceptable as she is, they need the state, or anyone, to step in and tell them they have to learn.

In the south, things are different, you'd be surprised at how many old people remember things that happened "so long ago", back then it was all about image, if a family had a teen girl get pregnant, it was her fault, regardless of how or who she got pregnant. They'd hide the baby, by giving it to a family member, giving up for adoption, taking the girl somewhere pregnant, and she'd come Home without a baby or a baby bump, like in this video, send them to an abusive religious school, even if the girl wanted to keep her baby.
This is a rare case where the mom actually finds her child.

I'm so glad Nancy didn't "let it go." (11:50) We need more women like her to realize that speaking up about injustice isn't the same as being unforgiving or "disobedient" to God. Abusers are in the church same as anywhere else and they're counting on women's silence and meekness. It's beautiful that they found each other but their loss and pain are valid. Thank you for reporting this.

Ancestry is amazing. I found my birth mother last year and was so scared she didn’t want to have anything to do with me. But I was so wrong. Every single person in that family was so accepting of me. My birth father didn’t want to have anything to do with me because his wife hated my birth mother so he won’t see me. But that’s ok. I was taken from my mother when I was born just like this story and it took me 49 years to get the courage to try and find her. And when I did, it changed my life. Ty Ancestry. My life is complete now and I have an amazing relationship with my birth mother and my sister, who wasn’t given up. They all love me and I love them. She said she never wanted to give me up and had been searching for me all those years too. I’m so happy for this mother and daughter

those Ancestry tests are illegal here in France, but people still buy them via mail. apart from people in search of their biological parents after adoption, anonymous birth, some of those who use those tests are born via sperm donations and they just want to know who they resemble to. all those cases are scealled secret, and it's a shame the administration doesn't give the datas!! joke's on you, administration, because people WILL find the truth anyway.

plus, in the case of sperm donation, this can lead to unbeknownst inbreeding. imagine how devastating it can be to realize that a person you're dating/got married to/have children with, is your half sibling ...

Please look up Tuam in Ireland, the nuns starved and mistreated the babies of the unwed mothers, its estimated that at least a million babies were murdered by them. All in the name of religion. In one of the homes in Tuam, the bodies were thrown into the cesspit. It is horrific and the government in Ireland is still doing everything it can to cover it up. They wont even allow the bones to be removed for decent burial. They also sold babies to America. It is a huge scandal rivalling the holocaust and one day it will have to be faced up to. This one cant be blamed on anything the British did, this was Irish people, religion and government. Many of the unwed mothers were impregnated by priests.

I was a teen Mom. My daughter would have been stripped from me when she was born, had my parents thought me going to a place like this was beneficial. I had my daughter back in 1993, at the age of 17. This breaks my heart knowing that mothers out there were chastised for getting pregnant, yet the fathers walked on like no big deal. For those babies who were desperately wanted, this makes my heart hurt. I sincerely hope more Bethesda Moms can find their children. I love that this Momma and her daughter were able to reconnect. 💗

My parents weren't really about at the time and my boyfriends Catholic parents wanted to hide my pregnancy and tried to have me locked away with nuns in a home (St Joseph's, I've since seen a book written about the abuse done by nuns in that place) and took me there, they wanted the baby to be adopted out. I though wanted to keep my baby and refused to stay in the home . I said that they could not keep me there and that I would run away if left there so was lucky enough to end up keeping my baby due to my stubborn refusal to comply.
