    This is how all cold & dark tutorials should be.

    Wow! This video of yours is a like a breath of fresh air. You got right to the point. A lot of UA-camrs put a ten, fifteen second channel intro in front of every video. Some take forever to get to the point of the video.
    I really appreciate your brevity. I also like how brief you were in requesting a Like if I like the video. Then, and only at the end, you mentioned subscribing. (Really though I think both requests should wait until the closing remarks but yours was more like an offhand remark than "Please Like me!" type begging.) I'm always amazed when other channels straight up suggest you subscribe to their channel - even before you've had a chance to see what their content is like. lol.

      @@NOTAM1 You're welcome. Too many content creators forget that there's a lot of other things to do on the internet that are better than waiting for someone to get to the point. Clear, concise descriptions / instructions, preferably without faked excitement, are what I seek. Fortunately there are some that "get it,"

    Hope you've had a great Christmas, and hope to see some more content soon. I finally got the Mooney and there's a lack of quality tutorials out there for it.

    If able, would love to see a video explaining the use of the power lever (prop lever) and a true joy would be a tutorial to make sense of the "M20R Cruise Power Settings and Fuel Flows" chart under the visor. The manuals Carenado provides are quite lacking from a entry level perspective.

    This became my favorite plane by far, really glad I bought it. Also got my Navigraph subscription thanks to you and I’ve been having a blast with it :)

    Thanks for the valuable information you always give us. I saw that clicking on cold and dark (effects settings panel on the joystick) you can hear the audio of movements in the equipment. For sure, the tank selector switches to off, but it has to change something else, because putting the tank selector back to left or right, the ignition procedure fails. Do you have any idea what that might be? Thanks again have a nice day.

    Good luck with that. I can't get the mooney to respond to any mouse input on the Garmine 530.

    Thanks for making the video, David. I'm having an issue setting the VS while on the ground; I can't set the FPM until I'm airborne. I suspect it's pilot error. I just can't figure it out.

    I am going to need this channel I just received a new Dell gaming system Alienware and MSFS 2020. Does MSFS have a tutorial like highlighted buttons to learn and operate the planes in this game? Thanks in advance.

    Hi David. I don’t have the Mooney yet, but do have the Carenado 182T, which I like the visuals of. Both aircraft are supposed to have an ipad-like device for the yoke. Both are supposed to have documents. I have not found the docs or device for the 182, but I assume if you have found these for the Mooney, they are likely to be the same. Can you please enlighten my darkness on these issues? Thank you.

      @@NOTAM1 They are under the official folders... if you dig in there, there is a Documentation folder with full PDFs on operations

    I'm getting a warning horn after master are put on, also the mixture keeps popping back out (can't set mixture to 100%, it wants to stay at 4%).

    Definitely the marketplace does not work. They charge me but I’m not able to download it. Any hept to be able to actually get something from the marketplace?
    Thanks!

    When I switch the master avionics on, nothing turns on in the cockpit. Do you know what could be causing this?

    • @therealtjpek
      @therealtjpek 4 роки тому

      @@NOTAM1 well, I did a bit of tests, and it's not even related to cold starts. When I go in flights with runway start, so the plane is already turned on, sometimes the avionics are working, sometimes they aren't. It's very strange. I'm currently trying to reinstall the sim to see if it'll fix this, since I also have consistent cdt when I use the approach mods on various autopilot or contact atc 🙄

    Nice try, but hardly any of this information is accurate for a real M20R startup. Not sure where you got these start up procedures from.

    • @Topcat1952
      @Topcat1952 4 роки тому

      I'm not sure I'd agree that "hardly any" is accurate, but I did wonder why the throttle was put all the way forward and that the mixture was not pulled back after priming with the fuel pump and then advanced slowly when the engine began to engage. I was always taught that as the method for starting a fuel injected engine. Also, a critical point I did not hear was to immediately make sure you have oil pressure as soon as the engine starts.
      I did appreciate that the video was short and to the point; very useful for someone not knowing the procedure.

    Best videos! - thanks. I bought this plane today (2nd time, long story) and seemingly cannot program a flight plan on the GNS530. Am I missing something or are some things limited in this sim?
