Nice presentation, I am impressed by the detail of the aircraft, that being said, I gotta say I hope the ground friction problems I am having with 2020 and Carenado PC12 weather vanning while taxi and ground ops has been fixed in 2024. Nice video, thanks! (I subscribed too)
I'd hate to pay so much for airplanes I won't be interested in flying. The only one in that list is the ATR. Thank you so much for this video. I'll just buy the standard edition. Hopefully the FSS ERJs will work in 2024. Right now I"m enjoying the ERJs and CRJs and the TBM 930. No need for more aircraft over here, specially old ones that don't interest me.
Considering I have most of the famous flyers/local legends I want, I will probably just get the Premium Deluxe edition, but if I have some money left over, I may get the aviator edition
Maybe in future they could include a bunch of plane vouchers so you can just pick what you want from the launch lineup. That said i will probably plonk down on the Aviator as i did not buy many of the historical planes but lust for them all.
Yeah, maybe price the individual vouchers slightly higher and depending on tier. You’ll be able to trial or rent addons this time around, which will be great for consumers!
I think this is a great video. You are will spoken. I don't think you said "um" once. Very professional, and I'm left wanting to fly the golden age. You inspired me.
You can! Open Date & Time and go back to 1942...won't change the world. 🤣 There are some vintage airports in the Marketplace - I think there's one in NYC.
I own most of those aircraft already from 2020. Think I'm missing 4 of them... which if bought separately world easily be over the added $75 cost to upgrade from premium to aviator. So, even though i have 90% of those, may as well just take the better deal and get the remaining ones for about $19 each. They most assuredly would cost more separately.
Note: Aviators SKU says 2020 versions of 30 payware from MS. These are not labeled as "2024 upgraded versions", just backwards compatibility versions. (Not compatible with new systems like careers, but works in free flight). Also no licence for them in 2020 (yet), so you may just be buying them for the new sim only.
They mention you immediately get the CL-204 in 2020, but they never sais they would unlock those 30 planes in 2020. I hope you get them but I wouldn’t hold my breath. 😬 Let us know if you do.
Jeez … what a bunch of dinosaurs. Although some like the C-46 I like. But If I was in charge y’all would have a different and great selection of aircraft.
The problem is after msfs 2020 im.a bit nervous to get anything except the base as paying the extra for planes that werent even properly developed has left a scar. Ill wait til it releases and gets reviews before i actually purchase.
My issue on 2020 is every few updates my sim got destroyed, and with all the peripherals I have re-set up and redownloading all the official updates and content it takes days to uninstall and reinstall, and usually did not fix the problem. I think the downloaded compressed files get easily corrupted which makes them impossible to unpack, but deleting them in hopes it would download again usually did nothing. It is just so frustrating trying to keep this sim working.
Man they're making it really hard to not go all out, trouble is having flown some of these in 2020, we can say confidently that the quality will not be as good as other payware aircraft, however what cannot be understated is their uniqueness, fun and variety, should make for interesting career progress or additions for people that do FS airlines.
Do note that you might not be able to use these 30 in career mode. It’s not clear at the moment. Definitely use in free flight and in 3rd party career mod apps like OnAir Airline Manager.
i love historical aircraft , so while these are of lower quality, still nice to have because they are so unique, and no one else is going to make quite a few of those.
The Ford Trimotor Boeing 307 Stratoliner, and the Cessna T207 from the Aviators edition would be the only planes I'd fly Add the Cal Fire 747 waterbomber from the premium edition. I hope I can pick up singular planes, since they're official I hope I could pick each up for 10~20 bucks at most. Hopefully not at like 3rd party prices; if single plane purchases are an option. I'll be with the standard edition unless I win the lottery. I'm so excited to fly the Airship and the CL 415 water bomber :D I love Flying boats and airships. I like just being able to virtual sightseeing of places I can never afford to visit. Following highways or rivers. I can fly over my parents house and still see the minivan in the driveway that I crashed in highschool. It was the only vehicle in the neighborhood that had any color and not white or gray.
I’ve been using mfsm 2020 since launch, I got a bunch of payware including aircraft but of this list I only got the ATR so I’m interested, I think it’s definitely worth it. So far I’m loving the look and feel of the 2024 edition, only thing I want to know is if Microsoft kept the new addition as a simulation based like 2020 and previous, if it’s more Arcade or Game like then I’m out. Also will all other payware from 2020 also port to 2024? If that’s the case I’m definitely getting the Aviation version and will uninstall my 2020 and fly the new version only. Who’s with me?
Very nice and informative Video, thank you for making it. One Question. Can you confirm, that the Aviator Edition also includes all the NEW Planes, like A330, A321, A400 and so on? Since there was a Video here on the Platform saying the Aviator edition has none of the new ones.
Yes, it’ll include all the Standard, Deluxe, And Premium deluxe aircraft. You can check out my other video that goes through the other editions. 👉 ua-cam.com/video/vId3hj4MPjk/v-deo.html
Completely nee to msfs so i have no major clue what version i want. On the one hand i really love the atr as i have seen it and many prop and turboprop irl but i mainly want planes to use for cargo, firefighting+water landing, as well as im sure much more. Any help or advice greatly appreciated
If you're not into vintage aircraft, I'd get the Premium Deluxe and then you can buy the ATR from the in-game Marketplace. You'll have plenty of aircraft to fly! There will always be 3rd-party aircraft that are higher fidelity releasing in the Marketplace and outside of it in other web shops. Check out some of the tutorials on the channel. I'll have plenty more when MSFS 2024 releases in about 5 weeks! 😎
… Hi great video and voiceover thank you👍 … you mentioned in your last video that the Aviator edition includes the Airbus Beluga … however not mentioned today … so which edtiion includes the Beluga?
I’ve pre installed and only really want the SAAB and 787 in the Premium Deluxe. I’d need to know what the airports are though to consider the entire package.
Same airports as 2020, but supposedly updated. 5 additional airports in Deluxe: EHAM HECA FACT KORD LEMD 5 additional airports in Premium Deluxe: KDEN OMDB EDDF EGLL KSFO
@@SizzlingPopcorn Appreciate the info! I was looking all over for specifics and hadn’t been able to find anything beyond the aircraft. They’re good airports for sure but hoping they can sweeten the deal with some others while also including these. 10 from each continent would even be fair imo
@@elgrandesmokio2725Well, you’re getting roughly 150 on standard…that’s the original 30 + World/City Updates. Instead of adding new ones, they’ve gone back to update the ones we have in MSFS 2020. @SizzlingPopcorn muchas gracias por la ayuda, dice XBox también Pero ¿Será que tengo que seleccionar para PC o el programa trabaja con los dos sistemas operativos?
They have more than enough aircraft and varity in the standard version for me. The other versions offer nothing I want so spending money just to get more would be a waste. I'm certainly not paying £200 ($266) for the Aviator version, I wouldn't pay that for any game/sim.
Yes... And once you get spoiled by let's the A2A Comanche as a random example, the sheer quality and depth of simulation just isn't there in the default offerings. I have all the craft I want to port over in '24. Saw the pre-order standard edition isn't even 80 bucks where I'm at. No-brainer for me.
@@frankdiehl8749 It's £70 on the UK MS Store, which I think is £10 cheaper than 2020. Could probably get it cheaper elsewhere too when I look nearer the time.
@Elwaves2925 You probably could. I might pull the trigger before this sh!t economy pulls any more punches, and through the XBOX-app you can even pre-install?! Has a nice sadistic timer on it too, right in yer face. As if we need reminding about that date...😎
Buying individually these 30 aircraft would cost $450, or $300 if you have the Premium Deluxe discount. The Aviator Edition is very well priced from this perspective.
The same, however, Jorg said last week that they’ll all be updated to 2024 features over time. The ATR will get an update Oct 10th and is also ready for 2024.
I have a few already, but there are about 10 I'm still interested in. I could get each one for $10 using my premium deluxe discount, or pay $70 more than 2024 premium deluxe and get them all. That's what I'll do
Here's the thing; if Asobo guarantees that every plane in every pack tier has received the same 2024 treatment (preflight check pins, interactive body panels/covers etc) then it would definitely be worth it to get the aviator pack. If they are simple ports with reduced interactivity, (ie: not at the level of the 172 shown in 2024 demos) then 100% not worth it. There's also the question of; what if I already own some or most of the aircraft in any of the premium+ packs? Do i still get to download them for free from Marketplace, or are they treated as all new planes that I have to re-purchase? And what of the Reno aircraft and all their liveries? That was an expensive pack - I hope we don't just get left with the generic base models and nothing else.
The sku says 30 mafs 2020 payware from Microsoft, not "upgraded 20204" like the other base aircraft. This means they were not revisited / reworked and aren't compatible with new systems. I.e freeflight use only.
@@r4microds This would definitely need more clarification from Asobo. "free flight only" does that mean they're excluded from Career etc? Many questions still.
Incredible is not how I’d describe these aircraft. The price for these reflects the quality. They are on the lower end of the mid range. I’d suspect for any existing users that if they wanted any of these they likely have them already.
Possibly....they confirmed yesterday that we'll be able to use 3rd party aircraft if it meets the criteria for the mission. For example, for aerial advertising, the aircraft needs a hook. I don't think any of these have a hook, but it could be other criteria.
If you have 4 of them already, ask yourself if there's any others you want and would fly a lot. If the answer is yes and it's more than a few, go for the Aviator version. If the answer is no, or it's only a couple, then go for one of the lower versions. For me, there's nothing I want that the standard version doesn't offer, so I'll go for that.
What about PMDG? Products will work/be supported for 2024. They'll have SDK soon and we'll see an update for Day 1 or soon afterwards. Same with Fenix and every other 3rd party dev. Asobo have said you can take your community folder and addons and just move them over to 2024 and they will work.
all the famous flyers/local legends are already on the markeplace. if you have deluxe or premium deluxe of 2020 they are all available for $9.99 except the ATR which is $14.99
In 2020, I bought several planes, which are sold here in the "Aviation" edition. For example V35 Bonanza, Ju-52. I hope it will be possible to port the already purchased in 2020 planes to 2024! Does anyone know anything about this? If I already bought it, I have to buy it again for an extra $100, or in my case $130, because I "only" want to buy the Deluxe version. What will happen to planes purchased in the MSFS 2020 store that I don't see here? For example, with the Cerenado machines, or the aforementioned V35 Bonanza, Ju-52? I bought these. in the simulator marketplace, but it was not available for purchase elsewhere! So I can't put it in the Community folder, because you couldn't buy it from the creators, only on the Marketplace!. ????
@@SizzlingPopcorn You list the planes. There was a sentence at the very end that I didn't understand well. It can be guessed for mee that if I bought the machines in MSFS 2020, I will automatically receive them in 2024, but since English is not my native language, I could not translate it into my language with 100% certainty! @@SizzlingPopcorn I am happy that I will automatically receive the planes purchased in MSFS 2020, I was afraid that, for example, the Cessna 182 RG II or the Bonanza V35B would be lost. I renovated its interior and was able to get reliable documents about its flight performance, engine performance, fuel consumption and corrected it in the game, I tinkered with it a lot! In addition, I also made the lights more realistic. Lamps, reflectors, interior lighting.
Walkarounds are for career mode only as you won’t be managing a fleet in free flight mode. 😎 Yes, the A2A Comanche and similar will need to be done most likely in drone mode unless the career walkarounds can be optional in free flight.

@@SizzlingPopcorn never buying iris again, the flight model of both pc21 and t6 were laughable, when doing a roll would roll around the landing gear contact points instead of a proper cg, and would constantly rubber band, not to mention lauching into sim was a slideshow on a 3090 til airborn. Bought them well after launch too. I do wonder if sws will also shelve their pc12 ngx for same reason?...
@@brandonchappell1535 Our road map is:
- First and easiest, fix the misnamed Garmin buttons on the RV-10 and RV-14 (September)
- Close out the Airvan development (September-October) and prepare it for release
- Finish any pending items with the PC-12: improve yaw stability without the damper, add tablet, finish the plan and WX modes
- Complete and release the Kodiak 100 update, including a new ESI500 that will future-proof it into FS2024.
- For the Kodiak 900 we need to see the FS2024 SDK before committing to either sim for a release.
Great video..subscribed
Nice presentation, I am impressed by the detail of the aircraft, that being said, I gotta say I hope the ground friction problems I am having with 2020 and Carenado PC12 weather vanning while taxi and ground ops has been fixed in 2024. Nice video, thanks! (I subscribed too)
Thanks! Though to say from the footage from the Grand Canyon, but should see in the Tech Alpha at the end of October.
Good job on the video. You just got another subscriber. Cheers.

Attention! they will only port over if you do not change plattform (MS Store / Steam)
I'm all in. Only bought one famous flyer so this a great deal thankyou for this video
My pleasure! 😎 See you in the skies! ✈️
Hopefully get VNAV sometime soon!
Very informative and helpful, well presented video - thankyou.
Glad it was helpful, Steven!
Definitely getting the aviator edition when I get a new pc in 2025 * can’t wait *
I think this is a great video. You are will spoken. I don't think you said "um" once. Very professional, and I'm left wanting to fly the golden age. You inspired me.

@@SizzlingPopcorn so. I bought Aviator. Watches several times. ;). I’m excited to fly some vintage.
Glad to hear! 🍿
Thank you, great video. I kept seeing the "40 MSFS 2020 aircraft" wording, but nowhere did i see which ones were included!
Glad you enjoyed! More videos coming soon (another one dropping in the next few hours) 😉
I’m looking forward to seeing more of the PC24 but I’m also disappointed that we’re not getting either the TBM 940 or 960 just the same old 930
Since many of the aircraft are from the past, I wish there was a setting in the simulator to travel back in time:)
You can! Open Date & Time and go back to 1942...won't change the world. 🤣 There are some vintage airports in the Marketplace - I think there's one in NYC.
@@SizzlingPopcorn LOL. I'll check it out thanks!
@@rocky1942racoon BTW, didn’t realize until now that 1942 is in your username!
Should be a little cheaper than that if you're a Premium Deluxe owner in MSFS 2020 due to the discount. Check the price first. 😎🍿
Note:
Aviators SKU says 2020 versions of 30 payware from MS.
@@ThorNjord absolutely, hope this helps anyone still thinking about if this version is right for them.
@r4microds No, you won’t get them for 2020…just 2024. If you bought them in 2020, you’d have them in 2024, not the other way.
I’m buying aviator NO QUESTIONS
I wonder if FS Realistic is going to be supported. If not I’ll stick with FS2020. FS Realistic does make the flight so much more enjoyable.
It should. FS Realistic might have to do an update.
Is this one of the flight models in the game? I can hardly tell a difference between them
@@TheGoombaslayer 🤷♂
Some of these planes really are incredible! Im definitely going to pick up aviator edition and fly the hell out of a lot of these.
Definitely some great ones!
I love all the famous flyers and local legends, so I'm getting the aviators edition for sure.
I would buy the full version in a heartbeat.
Jeez … what a bunch of dinosaurs.
Although some like the C-46 I like.
But If I was in charge y’all would have a different and great selection of aircraft.
The Flintstones and The Jetsons aircraft! Yabadabadoo!
boy, am i glad you were not in charge haha everyone would have made a different selection, but i like them.
The problem is after msfs 2020 im.a bit nervous to get anything except the base as paying the extra for planes that werent even properly developed has left a scar. Ill wait til it releases and gets reviews before i actually purchase.
Big difference is Asobo made all the default aircraft in 2020. In 2024, all the new ones are from 3rd party devs.
Low key, that Skyvan is my go to stand in for the C-2 Greyhound for carrier duty until one is made. Im looking at you Indiafoxtecho....
Change is the law of life. And those who look only to the past or present are certain to miss the future.
@@wout123100 Yeah I love the caribou personally, such an iconic unique aircraft.
The Ford Trimotor Boeing 307 Stratoliner, and the Cessna T207 from the Aviators edition would be the only planes I'd fly
Add the Cal Fire 747 waterbomber from the premium edition.
Single planes will be an option for 2024, unlike 2020.
You’ll be able to choose FSX, MsFS 2020 or MSFS 2024 flight model.
Payware will port over. Devs might have to update to get new features.
the simulation is improved, no need to do the career stuff. free flight is what i mainly will ever do.
Out of 30 I already have 5 of them which still a great deal
I don''t have any of them in 2020, so for me it's a no brainer, i'm happy to spend the extra $100! 🙂

Yes, it’ll include all the Standard, Deluxe, And Premium deluxe aircraft. You can check out my other video that goes through the other editions. 👉 ua-cam.com/video/vId3hj4MPjk/v-deo.html

10 from each continent would even be fair imo
@@elgrandesmokio2725Well, you’re getting roughly 150 on standard…that’s the original 30 + World/City Updates. Instead of adding new ones, they’ve gone back to update the ones we have in MSFS 2020.

With so many aircraft, how does one learn to fly these things? Does each aircraft have a training dossier like in DCS?
Most will come with a short manual, but they’re all much more easier to fly than the complicated high-fidelity aircraft in DCS.

This will explain the 3 other editions and which model of the KingAir: ua-cam.com/video/vId3hj4MPjk/v-deo.html
Does anybody else simply want a basic POH with every plane? It's really not a simulator without specific operating information on each plane.
www.flightsimulator.com/aircraft-manuals/ but not all do.
Definitely more questions! Stay tuned on Wed for a dev stream recap or watch it live. It’ll be interesting!
hmm i read in the faq that famous flyers and local legends are upgraded to 2024 standards !!
Incredible is not how I’d describe these aircraft. The price for these reflects the quality. They are on the lower end of the mid range. I’d suspect for any existing users that if they wanted any of these they likely have them already.

Think we will be able to use some of these in career mode?
Possibly....they confirmed yesterday that we'll be able to use 3rd party aircraft if it meets the criteria for the mission. For example, for aerial advertising, the aircraft needs a hook. I don't think any of these have a hook, but it could be other criteria.
@@SizzlingPopcorn yeah, it would be pretty cool if we were able to use them for charter flights, or even ferrying.

Looking at this video, I definitely need to buy it. Everything is awesome!
If you have 4 of them already, ask yourself if there's any others you want and would fly a lot. If the answer is yes and it's more than a few, go for the Aviator version.
