I am sooooo happy I came across your video, I was trying to think of how I could make dreads while sitting on my bed, and your "foot trick" is absolutely perfect!!!!!'!!!!!!
I know this video is 4 years old lol, but just stumbled upon it as I’m growing out my undercut and it’s at an awkward length and wanted dreads to help Disguise it while it grows thank you for sharing this I ordered my supplies and will be here tomorrow!
I just broke my ankle, so I’m on bed rest for 2 months, which means that I have nothing to do, so I’ll be making my own dreads as a protective style for my long hair lol. Thanks 🖤
I just really love watching these types of videos, waiting on my kenekalon to get here so I can make my own hehe, super helpful though, I've seen a couple of people using the steam method and it seems like it works really well, and makes them last longer
I’ve been looking for an easier way to make them. I was using a crochet hook and teasing it then rolling and going over and over with it. It took me 4 hours, but it looks pretty good. I’d rather do it your way.
I like this look… the twisty look.. but you mentioned the skinny end loosens up and fluffs up after wearing them.. does the whole dread un ravel and get super loose over time?!
So I need a little help, I'm not sure if I bought enough hair. I bought 6 packs, 5 82in and 1 84 in. I plan on cutting them to about 18-20 inches and have them be sharpie to fat marker thickness. Do you think I could get 45-50 out of that? Oh and they're DE btw, sorry if this is a little complicated.
what website did you get them from? i looked everywher in my state and they only have the kanekalon jumbo braid bundles? their not packaged like your video
When you are counting the dreads do you count the 1 dread with the two pieces as just 1 dread or do you count it as 2 dreads? Sorry can’t figure out the right way to word this question lol I hope you can help!
Hi welcome To chili’s they usually last 3-4 weeks. I still watch my hair with them in . They are reusable and I usually give them a good wash before putting them back in my hair ☺️
@@fairybunz8583 thank you so much for answering me beautiful, I just made some two days ago I finished them last night, and I’m about to dye my hair black and put them in, thank you again.
Sooooo I’m just wondering do you think I’d spend more on buying dreads or making my own? I have A LOT of hair & don’t really know how much I need so I was going to buy 7 sets of 10 DE dreads.. or would I save some money just making my own?.. helpppppp
This may be old but after looking around I think this is the best tutorial still as they look the best made and so clean.
2023 and I’m watching it and it’s been the best one IVE SEEN❤ 😊
Totally have never seen a heat method for this. I love it. So much easier than the crochet method.

Not gonna lie, I think the commentary alone makes this my favorite video so far on making these lol
have you ever crocheted it a bit before you twisted? or no, gotta pick one or the other?
You did great!🥰🤩
these look amazing. Can you use any hair extensions or are there specific types.
This is awesome ❤ thanks got your sharing :3
Best voice over ever! 😂💜
Same with the monkey feets 🤣🤣 every time
Thank you Imma do this because I don’t have 200 dollars to spend on a full set of DE dreads
your .....dreading....the narration lol.
in all seriousness though thanks for the video, super helpful
I like your narration:)
you did great!!! thanks for the explanation
thank you so much! that vid is really helpful!
greets from austria! ☺️
What is the reasoning for the straightener and cloth?
It bonds the hair together. It’s synth fibers. And the wet cloth keeps from melting the hair. That’s what she said around the end of the video
Such a great vid! Thank you for making it!

*I luv it MD, they look great! Do you have an online shop? Thnx 4 the tutorial!
I was planning on opening a shop and even got it set up but never went anywhere with it just because I don’t have the time to be making full sets 😭
@@fairybunz8583 Still a really kool thing to do 4 fun n personal use. Hope you have a great evening
Is it important with the headband to be wet and warm or is it need to be just wet?
nBarbi Vlog Channel just wet !
The dreads are beutiful! but i find the quality makes it hard to make them yourself.
When you are counting the dreads do you count the 1 dread with the two pieces as just 1 dread or do you count it as 2 dreads? Sorry can’t figure out the right way to word this question lol I hope you can help!
Amanda Devore With a DE(Double ended) dread, it is considered two dreads since it gets braided in in the middle and creates the illusion of two dreads
6ad vi6es ok thanks! 😁
What would i look up in order to order the packs of hair?
daynes13 if you search kanekalon hair , you should be able to find it fairly easily
Love it
Thank you
Where do you buy the hair from?
Tricia Musselwhite from a beauty supply outlet by my house but it's easy enough to get online :3
How long do these last? And can I reuse them?

Hey I make dreads too looking to just chat with other dread makers :)
Sooooo I’m just wondering do you think I’d spend more on buying dreads or making my own? I have A LOT of hair & don’t really know how much I need so I was going to buy 7 sets of 10 DE dreads.. or would I save some money just making my own?.. helpppppp
I believe it's cheaper to make your own. Because the packs of synthetic hair is about 3 to $5. The thing is it takes much more time.
Awesome
Dreadlock community is so offended right now 🙃😂
This is the most awkward , disturbing narrated video I’ve ever half watched 😂
Nice feet
Eww…fungus in the dreads
You gotta stop calling them "Dreads" call them locs...I cringe every time. Nothing " Dreadful" about them
