  • The genesis of Genesis was not as a brand, but as Hyundai’s first attempt at going upmarket with 2009’s Hyundai Genesis. Well Now, Genesis is of course a complete brand, with multiple sedans and SUVs to choose from, and plenty of EVs on the way. But, they haven’t forgotten where they started from.

No he’s not. More like a hypocrite and shill. This car goes 0-60 in 5.3 and it’s “leisurely” or whatever he called it. If you watch the Retro reviews you will see how they would have shit their pants back in 1988 or whatever if a family sedan had run that time.

We have a 2017 model G80 a its a wonderful car. We love it. And I've owned a number of German cars in the past and will never buy. another. And Mr Davis beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I strongly agree. At least this grille is well-executed and nicely shaped. Its competitors either look significantly bland like Mercedes, excessively dorky like BMW, or just flat-out confused like Audi. Obviously big grilles are in when it comes to luxury vehicles, but Genesis managed to keep theirs signature while still being tasteful.

I just got done doing 300 miles in a 2011 Jeep yesterday. Did 1,000 miles earlier in the year in a 2014 Mercedes. Pain.
I did 300 miles in my 1951 Chevrolet and the seats are beyond anything you can imagine. You wouldn't have any cramps after 12 hours straight of driving.

I'm a sports car enthusiast all the way but I agree, there's not enough balance in todays market. You either buy a SUV/Crossover with tight steering and forgettable suspension or go back a few years and buy an older Buick with Dyno Ride and that floaty steering cars of the era are known for. Not much balance in the market today just forgettable expensive lunchboxes that try too hard to please everyone.
