    A few questions: what did you do with the leftover hazelnuts after straining the liquid from them? why not leave them in? and wouldn't a little salt in the recipe be yummy? i love a little salty sweet!

    • @manosvaresis3105
      @manosvaresis3105 5 років тому +4

      she didn't leave them inside because the ice cream would be grainy. And also hazelnut would be soft and not crunchy.

    • @MsMegasharon
      @MsMegasharon 5 років тому +7

      LaSopRAWna you can make cookies with the strained hazelnuts. Use them instead of flour

    • @mfarace67
      @mfarace67 5 років тому +1

      @@MsMegasharon street you dry them and blend them into a flouri would think. Then any recioe that calls for almond flour in cookies you could substitute?

      I would not use the grounded hazelnuts, using hazelnut butter work just as good, and you dont have do all that work with grinding the nuts ..ect
      My uncle was a Italian pastry chef st a high end restaurant and he used hazelnut butter , and pistachio butter to make the ice cream , and everyone loved it
      Snd that is what they use in Italy at the ice cream shops , their not going to go doing all the work with the nuts

  • @rkmugen
    @rkmugen 5 років тому +4

    Nice base. For me though, I would actually deepen the flavor more by making a nut butter using freshly roasted hazelnuts..... and then mixing it in with the warm milk+cream, before adding it to the whipped eggs. And then once the ice cream is completed, I serve it on a waffle cone (not sugar cone), and top it with toasted, crumbled hazelnuts...... to further drive the point home, that this is hazel nut ice cream.
