Great test! I'm getting in one of the high current 30HC models from back in the day and will test it soon
Looking forward to seeing that test Big D!
crossfire always producing good stuff. i have a crossfire vr1000d. its rated for 1000 watts in the book at 1 ohm but, in the book it says 1580 watts or something along those lines RMS at 1 ohm with 14.4 volts at 1% distortion and its no lie. thats true power right there.
There's never been much info on this amp the whole time I've owned it and then today I see this lol! Great job!
I have four of these amps and three of the Crossfire Tek50.2 amps and a CFA404S. I have always been a huge fan of Crossfire audio equipment. I have two sets of their 6.5 inch midbass speakers as well and they are awesome. Most people I have talked to know nothing about Crossfire and that has worked out well for me buying it from them.
i know this is super old but when you strapped 2 of these together they performed amazing
Nice work!
Just bought one of these at goodwill for $10. Can't wait to have some fun with it!
Good stuff!
Awesome brother! really appreciate these tests! When you get the 14v bat it would be nice if you could keep the 12v bats and do 12v tests as well! Cause we know if it does close to rated at 12v it will definitely do it at 14v tks again!
I've been running that same amp for 26 years now
There were 2 different versions of this amp, one has 3 separate fins on each side, the comp model? had 4 fins on each side.. They are pretty good amps..
That's Old school quality unlike todays.
I got 3 CFA 1000d's small amp big power 💯
I have 1 of these, we tested it at my brother's audio shop and got similar results so I say good job. there is so many amps out there that do not meet what the say they produce. this is 1 that's not the case
Nice.. I have the vr1000 version. I heard that the bmf and vr series is very similar.... If not the same?
Pretty Stout Little Amp!
anyone ever do a crossfire cfa 602?
Yes we used one In a budget build with 2 jl w0 15s in one of my enclosures apparently really pissed people off at competitions doing a 147 sealed legal all day very stout amps from crossfire!!
Used to have one of these. One day randomly stopped working. No lights or anything. Left it in a car I sold cause the goofball locked the keys in the car and I said fuck it didn't work anyway lol I realize at an older age I could have popped her open and simply soldered some new shit in it. Oh well. Probably had a swollen cap. Seems like everything has a swollen cap in it if it doesn't work. Including tvs lol
so dont pull much from an 80 amp alternatior
1/2 ohm dynamic Please
Goes into impedance protection
All you tests are flawed ...so many amps you test have been proven on the real amp dyno to do more than rated power even under 14v yet all your tests say they fail to meet the power...you really need to redo your test setup correctly
First amps I ever bought...think I got em in 2001...got em off a crossfire dealer that used em once in a competition for $400 apiece at a discount...got 2 bmf 15s with 2 bmf 1000d...sounded amazing...the first bmf subwoofers were crossfires best sounding subwoofer still to date...I just bought crossfire 15s in 2022 and they don't compare to the sound quality of the bmfs...wish they would bring bmf line back out... deeper cones sound better
