Great Job Dawson! Dad has awesome camera skills. I did that drop before they installed the wood ramps and my friend got a picture of me before the jump and after the jump. He totally miss me in the air. I did it on a Specialized XC comp dual suspension on my first day ever visiting Santos. I didn’t really know what Santos was like until I got there. The memory will live on forever. You have awesome parents. Can’t believe they were both there to see you do this .
very lucky to have such support from his parents, i never really knew my dad he was never there for my life, well done Clint Gibbs i hope one day i will have a son and be there for him maybe shred some trails
We were there yesterday riding. I saw these first hand. Super impressed! 👍 Glad he didn’t do the one around the corner though!! I don’t think my heart could take watching that one. But I won’t be surprised if I see his video doing that one in the future!! 😱👍
Well done Dawson...Clint your a good dad. My boy and I ride and the camera never does any of the lines justice. Keep up the good work. Ps. We are Giant Fans. Excellent bikes and my LBS is a great guy.
Nothing but respect to Dawson. I've seen that drop before, and I remember thinking, "No way. You couldn't pay me enough." Dawson definitely has way bigger stones than me. Phil did it. Yeah, that's perfect logic. 4:31 It looked scary on the gopro, so I KNOW it's even scarier in person. Again .... RESPECT.
Very nice!!! I understand both perspectives!! this is awesome. dad is being cautious trying to hare his experiences with how to calculate the decisions and son is just like aright alright yeah i got it, let send er' i can already see and envision it. both of which i can understand. balance of both is key! sometimes overthinking it and calculating you too much turns negative, just need to buckle up and get after it. congrats dude and happy birthday! hoping one day i can do this with my son, shred bike and sports together. not everyone is blessed w this kind of relationship and partnership. very fortunate which i know you know! keep shredding' gents.
Just about the same for me everytime we go to Alafia. My son always wants to try a more difficult trail with each visit. Kids have no fear and you usually need to slow them down and keep their enthusiasm in check. Glad you put safety first and did a recon of the
That's awesome! Way to send it, Dawson! I'd love to get out to Santos again. I rode it last year on July 5th. That was a huge mistake. Santos 1, Me 0. I'm looking forward to getting back down to FL and settling the score.
Clint, I think you guys need a new channel: "The Adventures of Awesome Dawson". As a dad, I was definitely holding my breath watching him on that drop. Super impressive!
I rode there last year driving down from Georgia.I saw that drop and thought no F'ng way it was a huck to flat. They must have worked on that drop giving a landing that wont kill you lol. That looks gnarly still and above my pay grade Dawson rips.
It's the young age that makes you think i got to try this. Remindes me of about 2011 when i asked friend to go ride Grapevine trails here in Dallas. There was a barbaric, large rock incrustered , drop down rain gorge that was even hard to walk up or down. For some reason i felt like i could just ride down as long as i skimmed the tops of the jagged boulders like the whoop section on a motocross track. Ask to borrow his helmet as i don't ride with one unless i know before hand that im going to do dumb things. I hit it and didnt blink and walked away without having to be carried out..
best line in the whole video.."good grief....i'm glad that's over"...classic
Send it!
Oh, look who's here!
Heyyy
He seems like a great dad.
Do your homework
What bike is Dawson riding? Any more info of it?

Most parents have to fear giving kids the car keys the first time. Now you have to fear full face helmets as well! Great job Dawson!!
Great progression from the kid!! I need to get down there soon.
Very Awesome, Congrats on landing the drop, the camera doesn't do them justice those are huge in person!
Very cool! I'm from SW Florida. Santos is definitely on my to ride list.
I have been there and it definitely looks easier on the video than in person. No way I would ever attempt either of them. Good job 👍
Nothing but respect to Dawson. I've seen that drop before, and I remember thinking, "No way. You couldn't pay me enough." Dawson definitely has way bigger stones than me.
Phil did it. Yeah, that's perfect logic.

Dude, always wear a helmet. You've invested too much into your brain to not wear one!
Perfect
dawson knows what hes doing
Yess! Now Dad's turn! ;-)
Fantastic encouragement from a father! What bike is Dawson on?
2018 Giant Trance 2
Awesome Dawson!, have u guys seen the new jumps/ line at the sinkhole/ Rock trails? He'd dig it the most!😎
We've ridden there for a long time. In fact, Clint built many of the trails there a long time ago! We are very familiar with that place.
Dawson Gibbs You have skills but stay safe!
That was RAD
Mountain biking: it's all fun and gamea until it's your own kids getting sendy haha
