Appreciate this video - surprisingly easy to get through the breathing and the dialogue (😅) which was actually very helpful for someone who wants to approach this as a new hobby and is anxious about what these trails could look like. Thx 🙏
Thanks for watching Steph! Yes that was the idea, to give a tour and what to expect if headed to this very well know trail system. (Though I could have done a better job with the map) I’m glad you liked it. Check back on the channel I’ll be adding some more bike stuff soon!
Hi Tiffany, I'm glad you liked the video. So much more to a Santos than Vortex, that is only the main trail sections, going out the greenway there are miles and miles of trails. This is what my trail tour series is all about, seeing a trail for what it is, not just the highlights or jump lines. Stay safe out there and ride on!
@@2SixCyclesports what a great approach. Is there anyway you can go back out to Santos and do all the BLUE trails with a helmet mount instead of chest mount? I like watching the videos the day before I go out
Hey justme, thanks for the watch and kind words! I’m in Casselberry, so I know Oviedo. I did a little riding in Texas a few years back nothing major. But I do love it out there too. Be safe!
Watching this video after getting lost yesterday lol well explained back to Santos today hopefully doesn't rain much. I like those Rocky Technical climbs there 👌
Thank you so much... I am planning a trip to visit the to so famous Santos Trails and this video is perfect for helping me plan my routes. Also, it gives a regular guy like a decent goal to aim for timing... also considering you were talking and had water just once...! so Thank you so much..! I have been recording my trails visit at Key Virginia, and at the same time learning to edit, meanwhile still playing and training for baseball and MTB is a good balance, yet eventually I will post the vids on my channel as well, this type of vids are so helpful, now thanks to you I know better what to expect aside from the Vortex.
Wander, so glad you enjoyed the video! Thanks for watching. I’m planning some more of other trails around the state once racing season is over, (there’s a few of those videos on the channel as well). The races I mentioned in this video actually. Sounds like you’ve got a lot going on but I’m really happy this video can help you on your trip, as well as being a learning tool for when you get your videos going. Good luck with your stuff and enjoy your trip to Santos, it’s an epic trail system! Stay stoked on riding and check back for more of these videos!
So glad you liked the video! Santos will keep you busy for a while, there are trails there that you could ride nearly 100 miles. There are multiple trail heads along the route if you do out and backs, then another day you can start further out and ride a completely new section. If you start at main trailhead you could go out to 49th St. trail head and back and do over 20 miles. You could start at 49th St. and go west and do another 20 mile loop of completely different trail. If you’re into jumping and skills riding, flow trails, the Vortex pit is legendary, plenty of video of that on UA-cam as well. Days of fun, challenge, and exploring out there. If you really want more, Mt. Dora is about an hours drive South East, great trail but much shorter. Check out my video on this channel of that trail as well. Have a great time out there! Some of my favorite trails.
@@2SixCyclesports awesome sounds great! We normally ride about 50miles a day of sngletrack and we are also bringing our gravel bikes and maybe hit some of the huracan trail. Got any suggestions on that?
@@shannonamos4602 actually, there is a paved trail that runs along the Santos Greenway, not sure how many miles.. but that’s a possibility, or in the The Ocala National Forest there are miles and miles of dirt roads that could be good for gravel. Not much of a gravel guy myself so there may be better places. Be sure to stop into Santos Bike Shop, those folks could certainly point you in the right direction. www.santosbikeshop.com
Question: I just moved down from Ohio. I lock my shoes in. I rode Mt. Dora. I find it not suitable to lock in... didn't see anyone else lock in either. Is locking in not ideal/suitable for Santos/Dora/Alafia ?
Hi Melissa, thanks for watching.. I ride with clip less pedals, (the ones that “lock in”) it’s really personal preference, Mt Dora has a lot of features and often times people like to ride flats on that stuff so they can bail if they need too. What about Mt Dora makes you feel like it’s not suitable to lock in? I ride all the skinnies in Skillville with clip less pedals, if your comfortable with them getting out shouldn’t be an issue, and with all of the elevation changes at Mt Dora, I feel like clip less is the way to go. But again, it’s personal preference. Glad you liked the video and took the time to comment. Don’t worry you’re not the only one out there in clip less pedals!! Get out there and have some fun.
Excellent video of the santos and vortex trail system. Thanks for sharing. Just came from there today. Trails were riding phenomenally. 👍

Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it. Hope you get out there soon!
Thanks again for going through all the different trails. Like you said so many people just do vortex

Hey E, that there is a Yeti SB 100. Thanks for the question, I hope you enjoyed the video. Ride on!
Can not get my head around two way traffic.
Hey Arthur, yeah 2 way trails definitely require everyone being alert and aware. Thanks for the watch, stay safe out there!
