"Jessie died instantly". She was hospitalized in critical condition for a week before she died. 3. "Richard Ramirez was a witness". Police reported there were no witnesses. 4. "Mike's two young sons were witnesses". Mike did not have two sons in 1975. One (Miguel Jr.) died at age 5 two years before. The other son (Jose, age 5) was not present when the police arrived shortly after the crime. 5. "Mike called the cops". Neighbors were alerted by Mike screaming he had killed his wife and called the police. 6. "Mike" was released and got away with the murder." Miguel Valles was found guilty of Voluntary Manslaughter and sentenced to 5 years in Texas State Prison. @@oralecarrillo4380There are only 2 people (left) who really know if he witnessed it or not. Mikes sons. 3 and 6 at the time it happened. If they were not to young to remember any details. As far as I know they never talked about it publicly. However, Jessie did not die "before she hit the ground". She was brought to a hospital where she died about 10 days later. (there are some 1975 - newspaper articles about it) Richard must have known this.

As for Jessie hitting the ground and dying 10 days later , i did read that somewhere but come on .. we all know how Carlo is . He loves over exaggerating stories . At the end of the day the guy (Phillip Carlo ) was an author so exaggerating stories and making them sound as gruesome as possible was his job .
We know for a fact that this story is true . Mike did shoot her and served 4 years and also i would doubt that richard lied witnessing this . He definitely saw what went down that day so this part can’t be a lie . Yes maybe Carlo did twist a couple words but nothing to change the entirety of the story .
