Dude it was seeing you balance one legged on that ball doing squats that made me realise the difference in ankle strength and stability in an olympic skater vs a pleb like me lol. Great work and thanks for the tips

Thanks for the video, Victor! That's exactly what I need to strengthen up my ankles. Greetings from Brazil.

The timing of this video is sublime, in a few weeks my custom boots are ready, and they will be my first low cut boots. I also checked your older video on ankle strength. Thanks for all your help!

Can you do a video on increasing ankle flexibility? I feel the biggest impediment to my skating has been getting enough dorsiflexion to be in proper skating position without having too much weight on the front of the foot. So I end up having to rock my weight back which causes massive shin splint pain. The only fix I've found is shimming the rear mounting point on my inlines up a bit with a plastic washer so my feet slope down a bit while standing in my skates.

for strength & flexibility in your ankles you should be looking into ballet, the stretchband exercises will also help with proper ankle alignment. You're looking at around 30€'s for a set of resistance bands vs a 200€ bosu ball so it's a no brainer imo. The ball isn't really worth the investment & it's not as easy to bring with you to do warm up exercises with.

Blooming brilliant m8! I do a few of the walking routines u show. The ball is way new to me but u encouraged me to work towards it.
Whwy do u feel about the foot wooden 2 piece balande footbiard or balance board roller?

returning and yea, lower cut boots are just bad for me, dont even feel like they are on tight, which some of this is the issue, most of the skates ive tried just do not fit well, even when they are the right size, the ankle is not tight at all. Trying the short track patriot carbon next, has two ankle straps for support which is more my style. All the new boots i tried just feel terrible.

For a video about balance, the audio was a bit unilateral😅 Great advice though ❤
