I am a 64 yr old woman. This is weird but this is so much easier than I thought it would be. I have been ill for a long time. I still have tried to stay flexible and mobile. I have done traditional hatha yoga, ballet, weight lifting, swimming, hiking and some tai chi. Even though I am not in great shape. I find this extremely easy. So gentle on the body. I guess the word to describe it best is natural. Who ever would have thought that moving this way felt so good! Keep it up!
The natural softness of your voice in combination with absolutely superhuman coordination and strength of your body.... this is a very explosive combination :-)
This kind of exercise that makes use of every part of your body makes the experience of working out much more interesting. It's not simply building muscles and strength, but teaching you how to use your body in so many possible ways
Great workout! I´m a Brazillian Jiu-Jitsu practicioner and it´s amazing how this and the others climbers workouts fits very well in the the needs of BJJ.
I have to admit, this looks super fun ^_^ I tried them in the living room, and broke a sweat pretty quickly. So it's fun AND effective! In my eyes, the ideal combination for exercise. As an update, I'm doing your entire home workout routine, up to the advanced level now, and I added a few other things into it (like the crow pose, bicycle, toes-to-bar leg raises on the pull-up bar, and push-ups with hands at hip level). I honestly feel like this is getting me into the best shape of my life, and I'm actually enjoying the workouts. Thank you so much.
It's so cool that you even teach animal moves. I'm practise them for two years now and it's sadly that they aren't so popular as they should be. Glad to see that successfoul youtubers like you make videos about them. More of these👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Hell yeah! I've been remotely teaching PE for my students and using a lot of quadrupedal motion. It's a great way to kind of trick them into strength training, and adds a lot of fun and variety. I like it a lot for myself too!
I remember doing a quick game of this for some of my co-workers kids at Bring Your Kids to Work Day. Started off great, and ended with them just sprinting across the floor in the quickest way possible on all fours. Kids, lol.
Terrific instructions and technique. Could you do a change of weather series - what to do with snow around -Winter, leaves falling - autumn, flowers - spring and hot weather - Summer. Thanks p.s. I LIKE TO RIDE A BIKE OUTSIDE AND SEE IT REALLY WARMS ME UP. Then, what could I do after a 20min. to 2-hour NYC commuter ride. It can be nerve racking when the cars and people don't cooperate, and you can barely go somewhere without ALMOST about to get hit -but don't. I like this outside setting.
Thanks for sharing this well-made video (love the slow motion!). Hey, I believe you are missing out on one of the most important benefits of animal movement -- the healing (free-radical-clearing) benefits of contacting the earth directly. Concrete acts like insulation, and is not a good conductor of the earth's healing energy.
this is so helpful, I cant wait until it's warm outside and I can return to such workouts in a bigger space and try some of these. And now I finally understand better how to do the lizard move. I've seen it described as the spider walk or push up but I could never get the gist of how my arms and legs should be positioned. Now it's clearer. All of those look super fun, thanks :)
this stuff looks awesome. I gotta stick to the routine I am doing currently for a few weeks but I really want to start tying some of this stuff in and maybe set up a day for it for a while
Great vid and selection of exercise, ido portal inspired! But could you please, please do a video of how to do the sequence at the start!! That was epic
I feel like a lot of these movements are really tough for beginners. I could only really do the bear and inch worm. Almost hurt myself trying to do the spin. I'll build up some more base fitness and lost a bit more weight and return to this, it seems really fun and just what I need to help me out with understanding how to move my body in unison better
Gotta say, that Lizard movement must be pretty close to the real thing. My cat caught sight of you doing that on the screen and started stalking you! 🤣
For inchworm, how do we breathe? Do we inhale while going down and exhale while going up? Or do we keep the same rhythm of breathing throughout the whole inchworm motion ?
I would love to be able to do the bridge rotation at the end of this video. It would really bring together the bridge and the lizard/push-up stuff, but i lack the shoulder mobility
Great stuff - fun and challenging. Thanks! Any tips for keeping the wrists happy? I'm feeling them after 20 minutes of locomotion. I went to fingertips instead of flat hands for the crab - helps the wrists, but feels like cheating because the extra few inches of elevation makes it a lot easier to move the feet forward.
So cool new sub here I’m so going to try that bear crawl in my little workout I’ve started ! I’m very tight so looking for things to help loosen it up and be more flexible 👍
Ciao... Mi hai dato tanti spunti per variare i miei allenemti, riportando ai tuoi qualche modifica, senza camnoarli, ma abbianndoli ad altre cose... Love yuo.. 💕❤️
I was really suprised when i saw these excesices. I learned all of them during contemporary dance courses and it always gets my attention when somebody can perform and teach these without the uniqu but often bothering vibes of the contemporary dancers. Great videos, expecially the one about the strengthening, i really liked it. Be careful with the inner line of your foot tho. :) (3:22)
@@nicole-secondaryemail-mort9617 I was thinking about the line of the sole. When you put weight on it that is important to set it evenly or endeavoring to touch the ground with the outter line and don't strain the inner one and the knees with it. Ofc he was doing great except that one moment, I just thougth it worth to mention. It also feels nice when streching.
Nice job as always. BTW, I think you should rename the 'crab' to 'chilled kangaroo', because that's exactly how they move on all fours when slowly cruising around munching grass.
I did this workout (like 20 metres each exercise) combined with some burpees and finishing with 30' yoga and it was a good training session for flexibility, core and mobility!

James, why do you have a masculine name...?

I have never seen such a combination of fun and efficient training! Thank you a lot!!
Dude. These exercises are tiring as hell. I'm surprised by how they've got me out of breadth so quick. But they're also fun.
Cheers man
Sometimes the best workouts feel like you're not even working out at all :-)

Fun - you said it! Exercise becoming play. I value this ethos a lot!
thank you-- this is exactly the crawling finisher i was looking for... clear & calm
You are an absolute legend. I love your videos and your presentation style. I always look forward to watching these.
Awesome

Animal locomotion! Your instructions are always extremely clear (eg the compass metaphor), thanks a lot for the awesome content!
That Capoeira at the beginning was dope! Glad I found this channel!
Thank you for this very fun workout. Your flow from 0:09 to 0:24 is absolutely stunning.
Absolutely beautiful. Your movement is pure art and so natural. Very energising to simply watch.

U've kept the demo and description very easy to understand... thank u
I’m obsessed with animal flow! The change in me physically and mentally has been so rewarding. Thank you for sharing a beautiful flow. 🙏🏼🙏🏼
God bless you dude, you are like a climbing monk. You are bringing a much-needed meditative and controlled approach to my climbing. Thanks!
Great demonstration. Thank you
Very well explained, unlike most locomotion videos
Beautiful setting and movements
Thank you! That concrete was hot!
Love your stuff man.Keep it up!
Honestly, your knowledge is bomb! ❤️
Would these movements help with shoulder imbalance

Thanks for share!!!!!! Amazing workout,
Great vid, great channel.
One of my top 3! :-)
I always get inspired and feel encouraged to go beyond (y)
Very good - thank you!
Thank you Ido Portal
Lol, yea Ido was definitely one of my inspirations.
Nice really good. Thsnks
Awesome menagerie of motion. How can this turn into a cardio workout? 30s on, 15s off, or 1min on, 30s off for each movement?
Thanks! Very useful to improve my mobility whilst in isolation :)
Great moves. Keep it up, please!
Ahh capoeira climber! Wonderful content! Axé!
Enjoy watching your videos, though it is not easy for me to do these movements. Still I will try...
Hey man 👨 that's mind blowing, I ♥ it, I have subscribed to your channel 👍

Any recommendations for reps or time per Exercise? (e.g. 10 reps per side per exercise, or 1 min. per exercise, etc.)
good work
So cool new sub here I’m so going to try that bear crawl in my little workout I’ve started ! I’m very tight so looking for things to help loosen it up and be more flexible 👍
Hi,really great video you've got insane skills:) can you maybe specify more precisely what the benefints/good things of the exercise at 2:17 is?
Maybe it is about rotation of your shoulder and related muscles.
Love your content!! You're awesome!!
Brilliant, as always! Thank you!
Thanks
Your content is soo good
My favourite wasn't listed here - SLOTH
I must do this
Ciao... Mi hai dato tanti spunti per variare i miei allenemti, riportando ai tuoi qualche modifica, senza camnoarli, ma abbianndoli ad altre cose... Love yuo.. 💕❤️
the lizard is even harder when you sync the alternate hands and feet touching the ground. resulting in two points of contact at a time or close to it.
Excelente video

Could you explain the foot line positioning? What is the optimal line.

it is interesting to read your comment because these movements can also be used in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu or martial arts in general
.
this looks really fun! thanks for the video I hope you have more like in planned for the future
Great workout! Also imagine seeing someone doing this in a park. I think I'd run in the opposite direction.
Good stuff
Beautiful thanks

I thought this crab was more of a frog (not having any kangaroos around here)!!
I really like these kind of workouts. For a beginner how much time do I need to do it in a day?
I did this workout (like 20 metres each exercise) combined with some burpees and finishing with 30' yoga and it was a good training session for flexibility, core and mobility!
Awesome..
