@Ryan Stauffer In the context of everything lining up the way they do in this movie where it was made by an incredibly advanced alien society, then yes. But if it's realistic to the actual Superman story then it would look like someone's mother made it.
Could still be better. The S should still be the same as the most popular classic version, the red trunks should be there but no it be trunks but just red coloso in the pants to break up the cool - which is a major purpose of it already. Also needed to be brighter. Doing so doesn’t make it look cheesy at all or make it not gel with any kind of tone the film could’ve had. Saying it does or would is ridiculous. Other than that, the little alien flairs they did add, like it looking like alien (chain)mail of some kind, having the wristband thingies, the line around the waist, those are awesome. But the S shield should be changed back, the red color added to the “trunks area”, and maybe make the waist look a little more like a belt, without having to be one or look 100% like one.
Entirely disagree. It looks like a child's onesie without the trunks. And they could have incorporated the trunk look without actual trunks. Affleck's Batman suit kind of does this.
as long as the next suit does not have the same 'bubble wrap' design pattern look and features a more vibrant blue, it will be a vast improvement over this one.
Best supes suit ever. The color not too vibrant, giving it that realistic feel. The S looks very alien, the motif gives a structured look so its not all the same pattern making it not boring to look. Absolutely perfect IMO. I remember all the uproar at the idea of no trunks, and I was one who had my doubts. But when I saw the full costume, those doubts evaporated. I love it. The suit looks epic. And the Cape length, the boot length... just perfect.
Being of the generation who got Michael Keaton as Batman as a child we had time to get used to these heroes not wearing the traditional trunks as the 90’s was the beginning of the comics moving away from the trunks on the suits and Keaton started it and this suit was on par with what was happening in the comics as far as Superman’s suit

Zack Snyder's Superman suit is flippin glorious and realistic. It's so beautifully designed. The main thing about Superheroes is that they wear underwear outside, to look macho, and how do you choose an alternative to an underwear to look macho? Well, you use other macho waist clothing or accessories, for example, in Man of Steel, he has a round buckle that looks similar to a cowboy's buckle, cowboys were always deemed manly. Now in BvS, they changed the buckle from round to square to give Superman a more formal dress pants typr of look. Being in dress pants and square buckles look authoritarian, hence the square buckle represents power and authority. Such a smart design to replace a manly underwear look.

You're amazed? This suit was too dark and the yellow had black parts on it for some reason. The BVS Superman suit was absolute perfection for this universe though. Still hope we get to see Henry get the classic Superman curl in #TheSnyderCut
For a British guy, it's funny that some of his most successful roles have been 'the American'. First a Kansas boy in Man of Steel, then an American spy in Man from UNCLE.
Colonel Arkham it is also done for marketing as it's hard to see a British actor playing an all American superhero for some people, while also maintaining consistency of his accent for the general audience who might see these promotions. Christian bale did a similar thing for Batman begins.
I love all of the suits in the DCEU. Superman’s is great, Batman’s is amazing, wonder woman’s is bad ass. Aquaman’s from the end of the solo film is perfect. I like the flash’s new look.
The current one Henry wears is great. I like the "chain-mail look". The floor length cape is absolutely necessary. Anything shorter looks too campy. Since his rendering of Superman, I can't imagine anyone else ever playing that role.
That's one of the reasons why mos is ahead of it's time, they get rid of that sort of red underware when lots of people just simply complain about it cause the suit design don't like classic one
.....a lot of marvel characters don't look like the MCU version still no complaints to this day. Its more of hate on Snyder is the problem, whatever the f* that is with people today.
I personally prefer the bvs suit they made some slight tweaks which I love, but all these versions of cavils suit are really incredible because they actually feel alien, and more than just some cloth
Nope. The trunks are a balanced part of the Kryptonian Superhero costume. Without them... he's just wearing Jeggings / or blue Yoga pants... That does NOT look better than the classic Superhero athletic costume. Superman is Superman. Superman wore trunks for almost 100 years, and there was nothing wrong with it. Wrestlers and other athletes STILL wear trunks. Now he just looks like a solid blue statue with red boots and a cape. Its funky. Might as well take away the Red boots. Whats the purpose of tall red boots? Its outdated. What is he a cowboy? Might as well take away the Cape, its outdated... what is he a knights Templar? lol do you see? if you take away one piece of the costume, the entire costume is now out of balance.
Superman wasn't the only one to have trunks. Batman had trunks, so did Wolverine and Cyclops. Hell many superheroes had the trunks, but they all got rid of them eventually. You can't justify having them today.
Unlike Batman, Wolverine, and Cyclops... Superman was the first Superhero. Batman, Logan, and Cyclops, their suits were all based on Superman's... When they decided to change them and take away the trunks, that's fine. Changing them to be less like Superman, is a good thing, it makes them more individual, more unique. However... Changing SUPERMAN to be less like Superman? Do you not see the problem with that? :-D You can justify them today. Athletes still wear trunks today. Wrestlers, gymnasts, all acrobatic types, still wear spandex over spandex in many places. Its seen as common acrobatic gear for anyone who works in a field where they have to grapple or perform stunts. Like Superman. But aside from Strongmen, there is the artist factor. Superman looks bad in a solid blue onsie. He does not look like Superman. The red boots are out of place. The ocean of blue in the middle makes him hard to distinguish. There is no detail... forcing the artists to add alien lines, or belts, or textures, or curves, in strange places where those things aren't needed... the only reason that they add those extra details is that they are forced to make up for something else that is missing, that is pretty big, and pretty obvious, lol. He's just a guy in chain-mail pajamas, with boots and a cape. Superman used to have a distinct pattern, a set costume, and it worked for nearly a hundred years. He was instantly recognizable, it was iconic, he stood out, others based their costumes on him... he wore something that was different from what everyone else was wearing. And other Superheroes copied it. He was strong, a leader, one of a kind... Now... he's just like all the rest. The same. Doesn't stand out at all. He's just one more strong man with a cape lost in a crowd of more popular Superheroes. His popularity is barely hanging on, the only people who like Superman any more, are the people who loved him from the start, back when he actually WAS still Superman.
and the irony of Zack Snyder saying... Trunks are an outdated thing of the past, so they took them away, then put Superman in a suit of chain-mail? Haha, really...? Chain-mail is a little bit more outdated than Superheroes wearing underwear on the outside [especially SUPERMAN, the first Superhero]
Sasha Calle's Supergirl suit has these exact same materials in it, she just has the BVS style House of El emblem. with the Kryptonian writing in the symbol just like Henry's suit. Andy Muschietti really is representing the Kryptonian culture and having a great respect for it.

... this man...THE HENRY CAVILL... Was born to be SUPER MAN....
I've never had much interest in Superman; but I'd be lying if I didn't say Cavill's Supes didn't appeal to me. Also MOS's beautifully-made suit was and still is the best Supes has ever looked!
Superman suits are like science projects I love it 😊
4:22 I like that they he stayed in-character in-between takes. He has his American accent there and not using his natural British accent.
Best Superman suit ever
Facts
All time favorite 😊❤🎉
Removing the briefs just sells the alien culture aspect of it really well. Just wish would could have seen more of Faora without her armor. For science.
The alien culture of the man who was raised on the human world, by humans, with human values, and is seen as the person all humans should strive to be?
I wanna see more film with these fantastic actors , and i wanna see them fight !!!!!!!!
they really did an outstanding work on this movie , it's a piece of art really , the perfect superman movie
the new S logo is really more robust more appealing and more sharp looking rather than its previous models and i just loved it even i have set them as a wallpaper in my phone and desktop and even you wont believe to my company email address photo.
Not even a fan of this series but i love this suit
I was amazed to see how the BvS suit topped this one.
It din't
You're amazed? This suit was too dark and the yellow had black parts on it for some reason. The BVS Superman suit was absolute perfection for this universe though. Still hope we get to see Henry get the classic Superman curl in #TheSnyderCut
@@thenoirknight5729 Henry has the best HairStyle in JL. Bvs was too stiff, MOS was rough.
@@Annie-ph8vq Oh definitely. Completely agree
Is Cavill a method actor? He was speaking with an American accent at the end.
Captain Arkham
No, it is easier for some actors to maintain the accent between takes instead of switching back and forth.
I don't think you know what "Method" acting is.
All actors work with dialogue coaches to learn how to speak the accent of the character they’re playing.
Who else misses how awesome the Man of Steel suit is?
when I first saw the suit in theater when watching man of steel my first thought was "Thank God they got rid of the outside underwear".
I love all of the suits in the DCEU. Superman’s is great, Batman’s is amazing, wonder woman’s is bad ass. Aquaman’s from the end of the solo film is perfect. I like the flash’s new look.
This film is a masterpiece!
The best suit.......more realistic and beautiful.....the colours are great....
absolutely Majestic
its something thats outstanding, its a awsome work by the crew
3:05 the way way he strokes that mannequin is freakin me out.
My great super hero is Superman the original suit is great but this one is just BEAUTIFUL.
The current one Henry wears is great. I like the "chain-mail look". The floor length cape is absolutely necessary. Anything shorter looks too campy. Since his rendering of Superman, I can't imagine anyone else ever playing that role.
Superman Forever!
the kryptonian aesthetic in this movie is fantastic
Also his face matches with the superman comic character
It was so elegant!
I've watched all of the six superman movies and I gotta say man of steel is the best one and it also has the prettiest suit
It also looks cool without the yellow in the shield. Kinda like The Eradicator's Superman suit.
Perfect
The coolest Superman suit ever
I like the way the cape gets tucked next to the shoulders reminds me of DCAU Superman.
I like how literally is kriptonian pijama because they use that inside an armour 😂😂
Imagine fighting in literally underwear
This is so beautiful
Alien. Authentic. Arousing. Amazing.
We need ZSJL back, because we know they are plenty of other suits..... from the ship.
the best superman suit, and also thank GOD the they get rid of the the red undeware....
thanks to them and jim lee, who designed the new 52 supersuit
Might as well take away the Cape, its outdated... what is he a knights Templar? lol
do you see?
if you take away one piece of the costume, the entire costume is now out of balance.
You can justify them today.
Christ he's a fine specimen.
Its awesome Michael Wilkinson designed the Costumes for Man Of Steel and Star Wars Andor he is one my favorites
So how did we go from this to what we have in the 2025 Superman movie 🥲
GREAT CANAL!!
best suit
superman will be the good old supes everyone loved in jl movie
