Not trying to be negative but in my opinion this isn’t the best way to show a new eBay account, I don’t know for sure but my reason is that the views from people that watch these videos are also purchasing her items, which wouldn’t show a accurate representation of sales. I am not trying trying to throw shade on anyone, I genuinely enjoy these videos and hope you keep making them, thank you! Have a good day.
We set up a UA-cam viewer coupon code to track viewer sales. I also think $350 in sales in 3 weeks is a realistic store growth for anyone starting out on eBay, confident there isn’t any viewer bias in these statistics. There’s 139 million global customers on eBay. Don’t be worried about the 10,000 watching these videos
@@joymcbroom1865 list consistently and the sales will come :) Courtney hasn't missed a listing day in 21 days and the results are now starting to show :)
@@harryharryharryharry1960 have you considered they're window shoppers not actually buying anything. My store gets hit with so many people trying to learn how to make a good listing / what to buy / what to sell something for etc. that it actually has a negative effect on my store because ppl are looking but not buying. Isn't as black and white as you might think.
You’re going well Courtney, good to see your sales picking up. Great tips Matt, I’m enjoying this series and picking up pointers. I had no idea about using caps could be an issue. Keep up the great work.
Not a criticism But i think it would be more helpful to hear from Courtney on how she feels the advenure is going. Is it worth the effort for example? what does she thank she can achieve for sales? Thanks
Any chance of a copy of the ebay sales/purchases tracking excel! great idea :) also how do you determine postage into the price of the item? any general rules of postage+postage material?
Hey Matt - I’ve been binging your videos and they’re so inspiring. Heading out to the op shop shortly! I have been absolutely loving this series and look forward to the next one - the trip to the op and then all the tips. Thanks so much for sharing :)
Do you factor into cost the time spent sourcing items, packing and posting? Once she is teaching her $450 a week will she actually be spending more time working than if she kept her standard job?
@@TheAussieFlipper I don’t know whether you’re being sarcastic or not sorry? It was a genuine question because I got the impression she was starting this so she didn’t have to work as much?
@Amanda ok average every item I sell I can say I've got about 10 minutes into each item. And that's sourcing cleaning listing storing and shipping....theres nothing to it.... you can do most of these things while watching your favorite TV show.
Hey Matt so I have a question. I have a store and I make content and I’m not sure if there’s risks to giving out my store name to viewers. Do you give out your store name? If yes, what is it? If no then how come? Thanks keep up the content!
I'd use a bit more bubble wrap when posting the books 🙂 also I've found most books if they don't fit in a small satchel they will fit into a small tough bag... As these are the sane size as a medium plastic satchel, costs more for the tough bag but overall it works out cheaper.
I picked up The Hollowmen from Vinnies recently and was a bit worried when I checked properly and saw there were a good few for sale. Sold it last week to someone in Norway! I’ll definitely be looking out for it again!!
Hey, got a question. Every DVD I scan to list, even if it's a good DVD someone has it listed for like $3 with free postage.... 1, How do they make money selling DVDs for this price and 2, How do I compete against that?
Same with clothing, Kathmandu top could have 10 listings and 8 will be for $40 then 2 will be for $10-15. Mine eventually sell as some people won’t buy the cheapest because they think somethings wrong with it. (I’m one of those people myself) If there were several dvds listed for $15 and 1 for $3 I’d assume the $3 one was scratched or something
@@TheAussieFlipper I rearrange the title if i notice that they put it out of order and just got lcuky that someone bought it lol. but I also make sure i only copy titles that have all the information i could have given off of an item. I have a hard time coming up with original titles for stuff that theres no comps for only tho.

I kinda agree. Not being mean, but she already has over 250 followers on eBay 3 weeks in. That's a bit of an advantage. But good on her.

Yep! It’s a good tip to follow that one Lois! I always edit mine to avoid any capital letter words
I'm enjoying the series and it looks like she might need a couple more storage bins to keep her inventory.
All hiding under her bed. She picked up another 2 during the week
When you pick up shoes for listing, do you wash them or clean them in some way or just look for shoes in ready-to-list condition?
Great update Matt! Those last weeks pick ups really drove sales and upped revenue!
executed perfectly!! thanks for watching Richard :)

I like the way you are thinking about sales.... very advanced compared to when I was starting out
3 years of experience for me. 3 weeks of experience for Courtney haha. Just showing what can be done
My current goal for ebay is to do $2000 in profit every month. Currently at $1000 and have been doing this for a little over a year as a hobby.
Big well done to you Courtney! Keep going! You are doing soooo well..watch out Matt! You have a very talented competitor there!
Oh I know! She’s learning a lot very quickly haha
Love to see the real profit! Greetings from The Netherlands

It was sarcasm. I could write a short novel of a response to this but in short it's well worth her time pursuing this.

I don’t know if you do this, however I always check out the children’s DVDs which are generally cheaper but some series titles go well. IE Ben 10 etc
so true!
Banger!! 😂🎉
So if you go to a sotre and you see 100 dvds and 100 books do you stand there scanning them all? and be in the shop for a good 30mins or so?
I’d recommend it
Noice work guys. Really coming along

When are you releasing more videos of your shop and sales?

give ebay a call and find out why

These profits don’t include tax once you get that tax bill you’re going to be close to owing money. At tax rate 30% of total costs

Which app is she using to scan the items please?
Eprofit
How do I get my Promotions available to me?
