How to ACTUALLY make gold FISHING

- If you've been looking for some of the highest Gold Per Hour (solo) farms, chances are someone has recommend you to start Fishing in zones such as the Domain of Kourna, Crystal Desert, or near the Kaineng Docks.
These activities can easily net you around 30 gold per hour, but only if you prepare correctly. Luckily, most of the things you need to take care of prior to a farming session will only take you a couple of minutes.
The only exception being maxing out your End of Dragons Fishing Mastery. Each Mastery level will significantly contribute to your overall Fishing Power, and therefore the rarity of the fish you'll be catching.
In this video I'll go over everything you need to do to catch the highest amount of Legendary Fish, which can be consumed for Chunks of Ancient Ambergris. I'll also give a few tips and tricks on Skiff movement, acquiring 99 Fishing Stacks instantly (both through the LFG and solo), and a few bonus activities that can net you a decent amount of gold.

one more tip... if you are watching Netflix or something, you can reduce all sounds except UI sounds in the game. UI sound will notify you when fish bites your bait which is very convenient
You can get another 50 fishing power by completing the heart "Demonstrate your fishing skills to the village fishermen" at seitung province on the east side. You can buy the buff "Tips on Fishing" which lats 1hr and persists through map changes for 1050 karma. You have to repeat the heart everyday to unlock that item however, so its up to you if its worth it.
For me I've fished way too much pre soto that I find this activity incredibly boring so I'm not doing it right now, even though its very profitable atm.

The Jerky is pretty new and the Festival Recipes tend to go unnoticed often times.
Save all your rare fish from the original collections (except for Saltwater and World fish) so you can get the daily catch without going out to fish.
Just a comment regarding masteries. You also need max skiff masteries to get full bonus of 99 stack. Without max in skiff you will only get 150 of the bonus 300 fishing power.

I spent some time fishing as a kid, first with my grandfather, then with a friend. In the game, fishing is usually boring and lacks the emotions that accompany it in real life. 😢
That's why I try to fish from time to time to complete achievements, so I'll probably use your advice in some time.
I once went fishing with my father, I saw the fishes but they never bit. On the way return I slipped on a rock and fell into the ice cold water, my father was laughing :D I prefer fishing ingame.

I'd be surprised if it happens, although it's always possible.
The biggest shift happened when SotO launched, as they got bumped up to 2g from around 1.75g (and even lower before).
@@phandrelas an avid fisher, this is not realy true. Before Soto it was around 2g for months, but just before Soto release it went down to 1.75 but went back to normal in a couple of days.
Time to move on to another farm lol xd
@@NikedoParkie The price was pretty low when gyala delve meta fishing was a thing. Think it was 1.3g or lower. When anet nerfed that it slowly went to 2g over a few months.
looks like this time we are save from something like some barons buying all food recipes, prices ending up at 30g from former 1g
What do I sell to make the 30 gold
Most of it will come from Ambergris, you could also choose to trade in fish to "upgrade" them a tier at a Fish Monger. If you want to go the extra mile, it might also be worth checking whether it's worth crafting sushi (gw2efficiency.com/crafting/calculator/a~0!b~1!c~0!d~1-95847;1-96285;1-96898;1-97771)

Has anyone actually made money fishing? 2 hours in i made 2 gold at 510 fishing power.
While not the maximum power yet, that should be more than enough to get consistent legendary fish to drop.
The only thing that comes to mind is the location/time of day that could be off?
