Thanks for the interesting content Mr James! Tiny houses gained popularity here in USA more than a decade ago. The major expense lies in purchasing or leasing real estate for the placement of the tiny house, along with the provision of water, electric and sewer - a sewer system alone built to code could cost more than the tiny house. It's not uncommon to see rates of >500USD per month to park an RV in an a designated RV park. RVs here are larger than a tiny house and obviously mobile, but decent ones in only fair used condition can go for >30K USD. The 420,000 USD median home price (Q4 2023) in USA has driven up the cost of all housing alternatives - apartments, RVs, tiny homes, houseboats and associated costs. Greed thrives in the USA!
I am definitely with you on the ‘bum gun’ invention. When I returned to the UK it was like medieval Britain. Tried a newfangled Japanese loo and didn’t get on with it. Prefer to trust my own aim.
That is friggin brilliant..... You can prebuild a pool/water area and design all the walkways and etc. and when that is ready then you can plant 5 of those houses around and have a really special build at the fraction of the cost of building everything from the bottom up o.O
Hey James, I think these tiny houses could also be used as a nucleus to a minimal living design i.e. Install one under a large covered area with outdoor kitchen and entertainment area etc. Also have a great trip back to the UK with Annie 🙂
Hope your uk trip is OK james the weather is bad .I am back thailand 26 th can't come to quickly .hope your mum is in good health and spirits send my regards please .enjoy .
James I had a 43 sqm house 1 bed, 1 bath with kitchen including plumbing, electrical and septic tank, built near Phrom Phiriam for 500k baht...much like that 399k one... but i had columns sunk into the soil about 5 meters deep
Very entertaining and informative as always James. Down on the islands they are selling these style houses as the Western speculators are going high density per rai they are also selling converted containers. To me they look like council projects we have back home and are ruining what was a tropical paradise. Safe journey you and Annie and the portable bum gun. Please say a big hi to your lovely mum and enjoy your time with her you lucky man.
thanks for sharing very interesting, would be great on our farm with septic tank and solar panels, thanks for the leaning wall of tak update but i miss bob the bush how is he 55 55
It would be useful if you have enough land and your current house doesn't have enough room for visiting family guests. But if you're building a new house on your land, you're better off just increasing the budget on the main house and building with more rooms.
I spent a few years living in Dubai and the bum gun is everywhere there, when I moved back to the UK last year the first thing I did was install bum guns in all the bathrooms. I don't how people live without them.
Hi James, many thanks for this video, options for those needing a granny flat or those with land in a nice place they want to visit for a few days a year. Have a great and safe trip back to UK. Not sure if you will be there for the general election or not, but the politicians look in chaos (maybe not as bad as Thai politics).
I am absolutely not interested in the UK but please do a few videos at least. I remember your mom as a very lovely lady. It would be nice to catch up. Greetings...🙋♂
@@DeanBKK completely disagree, no thought is given to placement of furniture and just stick windows in. Like I said “No thought goes into furnished room aesthetics”
Window placement was fine. Opposite bed were sockets for a TV which I should have mentioned. Large window at side and long windows either side of the bed.👍
Leave the sex aid at home and just get a small bucket thingy and plastic mug at your mum's.................Removing bum guns is sacrilege and mum needs a serious talking too.!!!
Normal good video James , can’t see solar power man contacts
Hi yes forgot. Will leave here. Cheers. Can message Christian. Extremely knowledgable.facebook.com/groups/300126774329850
Really nice and the workmanship is good
I like them. They look well made. Thanks James. Safe travels.
Cheers Mitch, all the best.👍🍻
Excellent for a small resort.
Great little house to put in the garden, have a good trip home hope the weather is good for you.
Cheers. Weather was awful but improving here in UK. All the best.👍🍺
Looks aok for guests and people passing through .as you say the finish is spot on .
Just seen this mate. Yes agree. Hope all's well. 👍🍺

Agree mate.👍👍

Thanks James, they're probably the best little houses I've seen too
Yes, I was impressed. Hope all's well.👍🍺
4 thousand quid is a nicely specced MacBook pro - absolute incredible they can do all that with Aircon included for that price.
Yes, cheaper than units in Bangkok too.👍🍺
They look good and as you point out have a few different purposes. I think they will sell well. Have a great time in Blighty !
Cheers Paul. All the best mate.👍🍻👍
Like the houses your right ideal as a guest house have a good and safe trip back to the UK currently back myself at this time
Cheers Barry, hope you're having a good trip.👍👍
Great James even for a guest house near our own home for relatives coming to visit that’s for the blog James
No problem. Glad you liked it. 👍🍺
Great video. Make sure you stay hydrated on your cycling holiday!
Ha ha yes. They hold plenty of water.😁👍

Agree, the Japanese ones can take you by surprise lol.😁👍🍻
Safe travels. I thoroughly enjoy your videos and sincerely appreciate all that you do.
Cheers David, appreciate it mate.👍
Ideal man cave. Cheers for sharing
Cheers. Yes certainly makes a great man cave.👍🍺
I will definitely buy a couple for our land in Sa Kaeo
Looks sturdy. May need to look at this if we expand living space at the house near Phitsanulok.
Yes, certainly worth investigating if you're in the Phitsanulok area.🍺👍
I'm not seeing any insulation materials either for the walls or ceiling, or did I miss some?
Don't think there's a huge amount. Can discuss more with the builder.👍
And have a safe trip…..!

that's great and all, but you were driving on the wrong side of the road!! 😄
Nice

Yes, very versatile little units. Cheers mate. Sunny in the UK at the moment.👍🍺
Tidy little unit's James, could stick a few of them on our land in Cha Am & rent the bad boys out.....nice one.
Cheers Lee, yes certainly a possibility.👍🍺
Thanks for the vid, I am looking for one of these or a cargo container to create a home/office.
Perfect size for an office or man cave.👍🍺

Just got back mate. Weather wasn't too bad but not great. Staying in Bangkok at the moment. Hope all's well.👍🍺

Thanks James, nice video. You by chance have a link to the home builder? Apologies if I missed it.
Their FB, telephone and Google maps link are in the description mate. I don't believe they have a website. 👍🍺

love the bum gun. already converted
Can never go back after being fully converted.👍💩
Hello.. thanks for your efforts... I'd like to see the construction method and materials.. insulation etc.m
I only popped in for 20 minutes. Certainly worth stopping off if you're in the area. They always seem to be busy.👍🍺
Very nice . Please can you share the website.

Link to where you bought the bum gun bottle? We were in the US the past two weeks, and I really missed the bum guns!
Just seen this. The shop I bought from doesn't sell them anymore. Just look up portable bidet on Lazada lol.👍🍺
Hello , what is the name of this compagny, and where is it, ?i m very interresting.

This is the new style with the round window, they are called "Muji" I think
Yes, very popular in Thailand.👍🍻

James, we are doing a survey trip in North-west including Tak next week. Let me know if you want us to do a survey for you. Chris

Does WE Home have a website?
Just seen this. No, they just run ads on FB. Google maps link is in the description.👍🍺

300k and they still don’t know where to place windows. No thought goes into furnished room aesthetics.
Are you blind? There's literally a window on every side of the unit.
@@DeanBKK “PLACE” Can you not read?
@markhorley are you oblivious to the fact that the shoebox is only 23 sq meters? There is literally nothing wrong with the window placement. 😂🤦♂️

Sex aid is certainly better than bucket and plastic mug 😂 my mum doesn't care. Never saw the light unfortunately.💩
Nowhere to put clothes
What clothes?
There's space for a small wardrobe. Won't be any walk in closets lol.
If wood laminate floors , no thank you. Not very durable with all the moisture and rain in Thailand. Tile is best .
I suppose laminate is used for the weight. can always put in later or order them with tile. 👍🍻
Ignorant people should refrain from commenting
Probably the plastic not MDF stuff
The laminate is Formaica that look as wood on water resistant mdf with melamin coatet paper backing. Not for shower rooms but moisture resistant.
