Love your videos, James. Don't let mid-life issues get you down. You're married, raised a happy daughter. You have basically won the game of life within the first 45 minutes of the game. I suspect that you are in need of new purpose for the second half of your life...new dragons to slay? Lazada amd Netflix isn't going to cut it. You need new challenges. UA-cam suits you, you have a different angle on life to most on here. You are practically the sole employee of the TTB (Tak Tourist Board)... hope you keep doing these videos and more.
Great find as always James and very well priced. The rain finally arrived here on Koh Phangan and all our deceased plants suddenly sprouted new leaves power of nature. My young lad loves Thailand and has no dreams of going back to Europe(thinking about Annie) I often wish I was young living in Thailand. But alas I am just an crotchety old lad spouting "in my day things were lots better" but my lad is clever enough to know his old man is lying. Keep up the good work James love your videos.
good house for the price. Kitchen storage needed, and electric sockets seem all over the place (Im an electrician), but at least they appeared to have some isolators for the showers etc.
Finishes of bathroom flooring and entire bathroom for once is tasteful n delicately thought out n not looking outdated w wierd like colours n blacks (gross) it's refreshing to see these colour schemes...light grey flooring wide tiles r fab..light greys/creams/whites...=perfect for western taste like hotels and new builds in Sydney! ❤🎉BRAVO love IT for once😂
Looks like the stuck indorors up practise with the new camera worked well...nice one.... her face when you stepped out the back with bare feet lol . Great pro vlog
That home was done really well James thanks! You know it had some really nice features not usually seen like doors not all opening into the living area & that first bedroom was very thoughtfully laid out with the windows looking front & back rather than at the older neighbor home. Kitchen also I agree for the price nice layout & counter well done even with a space plumbed for washer already & Drawers! Ok one complaint & not just this home but all Thai homes....Why do they fit the exterior doors opening out? They obviously know how to do them correctly as they set all interior doors to open into room. Exterior door opening out is clumsy & poor security wise. Thanks for a great video really enjoyed it!
Great video mate again, its amazing what you can get for your money there. Basically you can get a very comfortable home paid in full for the price of a well specced Audi A5 in the West. The camera is great too. I have the pocket 2 and while its been brilliant it struggles a bit at night and it seems with the 3 and it's much larger sensor that night videos are fantastic. Don't get me wrong, even my pocket 2 blows my go pro hero black 8 out the water for night images but its not up there with a top camera the way the 3 seems to be. Anyway i look forward to some night scenes from Bangkok to see how it does
Cheers mate. Yes the pocket 2 is still a great camera. The pocket three is amazing at night so yeah I'll do some nice shots when I can. All the best. 👍
Thank you! It would be lovely if you could do some houaw tours just outside of Hua Hin city (or the edge of HH, where the prices are lover). Great work!
Great video and thanks James. Was it just me or don't many of these places have built in robes or much storage space for things like vacuum cleaners etc?
@@frankk.7977 Oceanfront houses in Ko Lanta do not come with a chanote, since you cannot own the shoreline. They come with a house book which can be registered to a foreigner.
I did a design for my mother in-laws house 10 or so years back, my wife took all the hallways/corridors out, said it was a waste of space. James, it's a hob mate, a cooker is one of those stand alone bad boys, we had growing up, with a hob sitting on top of an oven 😜 lovely property though mate.
I see that often in Thai houses (videos) that the kitchen furniture is built like bathroom walls with tiling. If they use what I know as kitchen furniture, it's called a European kitchen.
Does the Thai government allow foreigners to stay there if they buy a house there.? Do we have to renew our passport stay often or do we get a PR there..?😊😊
Your house is far better James, I want one like that with the nice traditional woodwork. Those newer homes are sterile and ugly. Are there any traditional Thai houses for sale at similar prices?
James must have the only house in Thailand that doesn't look like a prison inside, except for teak houses of course. Who ever designed that was a genius compared to the rest of architects. I'd love to know how to a avoid that prison feel for non-wooden houses (concrete, shiny tiles and white walls). The polished concrete look feels better to me and I've seen some wood textured cement panels that can look nice. Maybe keeping some exposed brick walls and finishing it that way would help too.
I am curious what the purpose is for these large water tanks? is this the only source of water for these homes? And what is the average cost for adding an additional air conditioning unit? thanks for the great videos!
Most new houses have these tanks even though you can Connect directly to the mains supply in most cases. Between 10k and 20k baht for a 12,000 BTU here. My Daikin was 15k.👍🍺
Those metal gutters are a waste of time. Give 10/15 years and they are rusted away, not to mention they fill up with leaves and then become a great place for ants and other creepy crawly's. Having had them, I would go Thai style and not bother and just have a concrete path for the water to drop onto. Looks well made house very nicely finished! Regarding Annie; when you get your degree or masters in Thailand it does not guarantee a well paid job; in fact there is lots of competition which pushes the salaries down, so yeah something to think about.
Hello James! Like your videos. However: All house videos are great, I wounder always again, why they build a house with a 10 cm wall on the outside! If they would make a second row of bricks on the outside walls, would help a lot to keep the house more cool and get rid of these stupid corners. So no furniture wouldn’t fit properly. Just my two cents. 🍺
be interesting to see what Annie thinks. UK would be much more lucrative for her, depending on what she wants to do though. Is a Thai Masters recognised worldwide? No offence, but they get them here just for turning up, and they dont mean that much in reality.
@jamesabroad8589 I'm always looking James. I understand some loopholes etc with buisness etc, having a thai wife or a thai solicitor to sign docs. I also know a bit about "leasing" the land and then buying the house. But what happens after a 20 or 30 year lease if the owner wants the land back etc. Maybe a good video explaining the "leasing" land option and where expats stand legally with this option would be beneficial for your viewers. I understand if you cant be bothered researching this information but it might go hand in hand with your thai house videos. Hope your ants have left the kitchen 🐜 🐜 🐜
Hmmm 😮 Don’t Thai people know about ‘storage’? 😊 Not a single wardrobe!! You would have to put the Fridge where you said you could put a Dining Room Table..
Very nice ... and good price. However, not that fond of the style of the bathroom. Most Thai bathroom the shower is right on top of the toilet. Making the toilet wet all the time after a shower.
@@jamesabroad8589 I think that would be more of an Only Fans thing. (But do keep me posted!) Seriously, though, excellent house. I almost guessed the price. (I was thinking 2.5M). Charming seller, too.👍

Nice house, good finishings and a beautiful smile from the owner.
Yep, agree mate. Nice to see a happy face lol. 👍

The house looks good, in Isan too the prices are somewhat similar for such properties.
Yes, they all seem to be similar prices wherever you go in Thailand. 👍

The house looks good but for the Thai bach but what about the price of the US dollars if you don't mind shows all of us.
It was at the end of the video. 63k USD 👍
Hi, are they for 30yrs lease or foreign ownership allowance? This area doesn't look like a gated community where foreigners can own a house.
you can always get a freehold lease but you need nominees. The whole thing is dodgy and doesn't appear to be fully legal.
You'd have to speak to the owner and agent. They deal with the land office here in Tak. 👍👍
