She sounds like a spokesperson lobbyist for the pharmaceutical association. I'm not a doctor or a scientist but I do know my body. The statin I was taking cause me muscle pain, joint inflammation/stiffness, tiredness and foggy memory issues. I have been off my Pravastatin (with my doctor's permission) for about a month now and the pain and stiffness is substantial better but the memory is still not better. Energy is back as well. I am on a 90% plant 10% Mediterranean diet and drink only green tea and water and like James Brown said "I FEEL GOOD". Have a great day!!

Sorry Dr. Narula, you are totally wrong. I lowered my cholesterol from 320 down to 205 with the use of proper diet, green drinks and water. You do not need statins to lower cholesterol. High cholestrerol is a symptom of high inflammation in the body. When you bring the inflammation down in your body, your cholesterol naturally comes down. What makes inflammation high in the human body? Sugar, processed foods, milk, soda, coffee and etc. The human body is not designed to take in these artificial chemicals. The human body needs real food, fruits and veggies...unfortunately the food in America is not based on this simple Ideology . Remember, the human body is not statin deficient, it's nutrient deficient.

Bob Hardeman excellent statement of knowledge sir! I totally agree after high research. My primary care prescribed me a statin after blood results of 182 ldl and 43 hdl total 225 cholesterol. I never got the prescription filled, decided to change my diet cut back added sugars shellfish and other high inflammatory foods, replacing them with fruits veggies green smoothies anti inflammatory herbs and spices. Haven't been back to the Doc, but we'll see. Truly I'm thinking of getting rid of him for a better more caring and knowledgeable Doc. What you think bro?

Yes! I also started a 90% plant food lifestyle and I lowered my cholesterol and triglycerides. I still have an ocassional piece of chicken or fish and even shrimp and beef and I also lost 15 lbs. with this new diet. There's got to be a monetary benefit to this "doctors" who are still promoting statins, perhaps they are also saying that cow's milk it's good for you. Boo… you suck as a doctor!!!

My mom had a heart attack 6 years ago. She took statins and her memory was gone. She searched for an alternative to the statins. Under the guidance of a naturopath and an MD who practices orthomolecular medicine she was able to come off of the statins. She changed her diet , takes supplements, and exercizes and today she's healthier and has more energy than she had prior to her heart attack.

I took statins for a bit because of slightly high cholesterol and they messed me up bad so I stopped after changing diet and exercising more. Now I’m hearing from my GP that cardiologists will recommend taking them whether or not you need them because as a general rule of thumb, it decreases risk of heart attack. I hope their mechanics are telling them they need a synthetic oil change for their vehicle every 100 miles because as a general rule of thumb, it reduces the chance of engine failure. I also hope their GPs are telling them they need a round of chemotherapy once a year because as a general rule of thumb, it reduces the chance of worsening cancer. Do you think they would go for either of these? Not likely. Neither should you. Including arbitrarily taking statins.

I think you're right, I've been on and off for years but last night I stopped and I don't believe I'll ever go back. There's such a lot of expose's about statins and other drugs at the moment that you just know the drug companies are going to fight back. They may wear nice clothes and white coats, but they're just drug pushers at heart and as Dylan said money doesn't talk it shouts.

I stopped taking my statin meds because they gave me severe leg cramps 2 or 3 times a week. I also experienced brain fog and clumsiness. I would drop things on a regular basis even if I was holding on tightly.
My last leg cramp lasted a half hour. That's when I did my due diligence and researched the causes. I found out that one of the major causes of leg cramps was statins. So, I stopped taking them. That was 2 months ago and the effect was immediate. I have not had a leg cramp since. I have had a minor foot arch cramp that lasted for about 10 seconds only two times, but nothing even remotely resembling a leg cramp.
If your legs can cramp during sleep, perhaps so can your heart muscles. Think about it. A heart attack is like a leg cramp, plain and simple. Of course, there are also dissimilarities, but, I feel better than ever because I am getting a full night's sleep now!
I don't recommend that everybody stop taking statins, that's your doctor's job. I'm sure they are helpful in extreme cases, but it's big business and Big Pharma doesn't want to lose its cash cow. So, consider that angle too!
I started a keto-friendly diet and stopped eating sugar, starches, and wheat flour. I have lost 15 pounds and one inch from my waist, and I feel great. The keto diet is the best diet I've ever been on and the food is terrific since you can eat about anything that doesn't contain carbs. That's a huge variety of new foods to explore. And, yes, I miss pizza, store-bought ice cream, and French fries. But I also found substitutes that I now would miss if I gave them up! I use low-carb tortillas for thin-crust pizza. I make my own sugar-free ice cream that is practically zero carbs. The only food that I have not been able to reproduce desireably is the French Fry. But, surprisingly, rutabagas come close when baked to crispy goodness.
So, no leg cramps. By the way. You've got a much better change of getting a heart attack from eating potatoes, pies, cookies, ice cream, bread, donuts, than you do by stopping statins. Think about why you need to take the meds in the first place and then you'll understand that you are better off not eating that crap!

My story as well. Went from working out and having a body to die for to almost dying from the poison statins are. They rob our brains of cholesterol used as part of the signalling system ie. causing memory loss. Wonder how many dementia and alzhiemer patients are medically induced through this miracle drug. It makes me furious. I take Serrapeptase now as I had the damaged muscles causing me continued pain. I haven't looked back because my body is no longer inflamed. I can live again and use my body freely, also in spite of being a recipient of a knee replacement. My joints were also effected by those drugs. Dropped them 7 years ago. My doctors still argues with, but I am steadfast. My responsibility.

Funny, a family member in Med. School was just studying Dr. Jason Fung and Diabetes 2. It is sugar that is causing fat storage and inflammation including of arteries. You Liver makes 80% of all Cholesterol . Your brain needs Cholesterol. Your body just uses it as a bandaid for damaged arteries. There is good LDL and bad LDL, but they dont' test for that they lump it together. Statins will cause heart damage eventually, makes it weaker. It may also give you dementia... And they keep lowering the standard to get more people on it...It makes a LOT of $$ for the Drug companies to get EVERYONE on it... WE use 95% of the worlds Pharmaceuticals... and we are sicker than ever.... 3 family members died early due to pharmaceuticals... I am NOT on anything , and am eating low carb and not abusing my body, get outside daily, do some walking... find something you enjoy....

Robert Littrell -- I was put on the generic Lipitor in 2017. Quite recently, I procured some gorgeous deep red grapefruit--but because of the prescription label indicating that the grapefruit was not good to eat because of the drug contraindications, I phoned my pharmacist. Nice man, but he did not know much. I asked lots of questions and received much ambiguity--though one interesting takeaway was that grapefruit increased the potency of the statin. All that being said, I decided to stop the statin and eat the grapefruit.
Subsequently, in the course of doing my own research about statins, I have become illuminated as to why they are so bad, in the course of which I watched this video & am reading the responses. Including yours--which I greatly appreciate.
It occurs to me that the prolific use of statins dovetails with an overarching agenda to cull certain age-specific groups from the population. ☆

Another thing that people should be asking when doctor's order fasting glucose level tests is ask for an INSULIN level tests and ask what needs to be done to attack the root of high insulin levels if the tests results show it. Why? Well, when you address the root cause of insulin resistance you pretty much address the root of what is causing most degenerative diseases that are killing us.

His memory returned back, he’s gotten on a better diet( even though he went back to eating some meat). But he’s been working out and fasting every few weeks. He’s never looked better. Naturally his cholesterol has went down by about 40 points in half a year. I think with more hard work he can do even better. I guarantee you that statins won’t help you from a stroke or heart attack, if something they might cause you to bleed internally. How I understand this is that there are little cuts in the veins due to wear and tear and cholesterol is literally the only thing keeping the blood from leaking into your body through those cuts. Cholesterol patches those parts in the veins. God knew what He was doing to help extend your life. So seriously, eat healthy, go workout, lower stress, don’t eat sugar, anything sweet( just fruits and vegetables) or too much salt, and most importantly know that your life is measured by God, when He says you go, you go. Love your life and live as grateful as you can. God is going to bring us all back to life one day and this isn’t it. Live is as if you are eternal and do good to your body and soul and you’ll live longer than any pills can guarantee. I wish you blessings.

Judy Vaughn Good testimonial. I've been on crestor for too many years. Every year for the past 10 at my physical my blood sugar would be 115 - 130 and A1C in high 5's. This past March, morning BS was over 150 and A1C was 7.0. And I am not overweight. Former collegiate gymnast and still in great shape, working out every day and generally in excellent health. I am currently 155 pounds on a 5'6" frame (my weight in my senior year of competition was 148...45 years ago. I'm still well muscled). I'm pretty sure the Crestor has caused these problems. Stopped taking 2 months ago but still battling the blood sugar issue. My liver bloodwork was abnormal in September and that's when I discussed with my doctor my strong desire to get off the statin. He agreed. One month later, the liver tests returned to normal range. If the statin indeed was the cause, hopefully my liver wasn't permanently damaged. Thanks for your comment. All one has to do is to get a handle on their INFLAMMATION, and that means a proper diet and not eating BS sugar products/Bread and these Diet Sugar Substitutes. ALSO: you can take Antioxidants in pill form like Alphaliphoric or you can eat foods high in Antioxidants, which STOP INFLAMMATION. I’ve been taking a statin for 15 years with zero side effects. It lowered my cholesterol from 269 to 172. As a vegetarian for 48 years, I’m 71 years old and have outlived my father who died at 70 because cholesterol had plugged up his heart. Statins are a Godsend.

After one year on keto (3 months) and then LCHF diet (under 75 carbs/day) + 16 hour intermittent fasting and following 3 stints and open heart in 2015 I have finally seen improvement. I no longer fret over my crazy high ldl-c, as my cardiologist believes I have familial hypercholestoreolemia. I continue to take 1/4 crestor as it improves my TCL/HDL and my TRIG/HDL. I added 1000mg niacin/day and 1000mg carnosine/day. My HDL went up to 91 (significant increase). My small particle ldl is now less than 90 (from high risk to normal). My LPa is now 19 (low risk) and my Plac2 is in normal range. My A1C has also gone down to 5.0. I don't fight with the doctors, I just show them the lab tests which I order.

I was determined to not take statins. I told my doctor that I had read that inflammation was causing more problems than cholesterol and that our bodies need cholesterol. She said Atorvastatin would reduce inflammation. I agreed and my cholesterol did lower but not enough for the doc. She doubled my dose and about a month later I was in so much pain that I could hardly get around. Nope, I'm done. I'm not going to wind up in a nursing home not knowing my name or unable to move.

I have been on a statin after open heart surgery(65yo) for three years. I am losing faith in their benefit. They have many bad side effects. Why would I want to lower a naturally occurring lipoprotein the body needs? The plaque(cholesterol) isn't the problem, it's the symptom. Inflammation caused by spikes in insulin is the problem. I've decide to eat less(once per day) and cut out carbs. Eat more fat, avocado, eggs and olive oil and some protein. I don't want to become diabetic(statins can cause diabetes) and don't want to take powerful drugs that reduce healthy cholesterol..

on statins you can still get heart attack or stroke ! that is known ,there are many people even myself that lowered their chloestoral by diet alone. nothing on this video mentioned the increased risk of diabetes when useing statins and diabetes creates it's own issues with heart attacks. There are many doctors that will not use statins themselves and just because statins have been around for 30 yrs doesn't mean they are safe , and yes iam sure alot of people do use statins with no problem as there are those that do get the problem like myself. Most doctors when checking your cholesterol and see that it's even a little high they right away want you to use statins without even addressing the change of diet. seems like many doctors get a kickback when they prebscribe a statin. The issue of statins putting cholesterol to a minimum andthose who promote it don't even bring up the issue of Qc10. that gets eliminated and the body requires it and without it creates it's own issues. so this video is just another way of selling a product that is questionable.

I was prescribed atorva-statin last year for my high cholesterol, I'm 28. Stopped taking them after feeling the negative effects, primarily the aches and soreness. I was a new father at the time, and carrying a 7/8 lb newborn should not have taken that much out of me, but it did. Stopped taking them after 7 or 8 months and felt much better! I recently had a new test and my levels are still elevated. So I need some tips. Any would be greatly appreciated, I'll never take that drug again.

I was prescribed 80mg per day of Atorvastatine after I was diagnosed with acute Pancreatitus. I have never had a problem with cholesterol and until I insisted, it wasn't tested. The levels were normal but I continued with the drug as prescribed. I had a heart attack anyway. I never thought that muscle cramps, loss of balance, loss of memory and confusion were side effects of the Statin. No-one told me. Not one of the 12 doctors I have had contact with during my repeated stays in hospital said a word. Mind you, it's normal to have to drag any real information out of them. They like to be lofty and mysterious. Well, I'm done with that crap. I'll be diet concious from now on.

Other doctors state that statins do prevent heart attacks and strokes. Not very helpful to have unclear opposing viewpoints without discussing the evidence.
