Hey Dyl, It's brickedup!! Just wanted to reiterate what I said to you in vc before the game- I got into catan last year because of your videos and I want you to know that your content really showcases the beauty of the game- navigating social situations effectively to work together on the table while competing. I thoroughly enjoyed meeting and playing with you and it's not hard to see why you are the face of the catan content scene- you deserve all the recognition you have. Also I think I can officially say I remember my favorite video now :)
Good game bro, looks like we’re all here because of Dyl :D what an amazing game catan is, and what a game this one was, well played and good luck in the tournament!
This has gotta be the craziest game I've seen on this channel, beautiful stuff. Really interesting to watch things play out when you're at a table with skilled players!
There were so many instances where the excess wood in hand could have been used to buy roads. Obviously, its difficult to predict getting 7-ed out so often, but in this particular game, 2 additional settlements could have easily been built by the time the game ended with all the lost cards.
Dylan, just a small remark, at 32:03 you had 4 wood and 3 sheep and your decided to port for wheat and hold, I think that was a mistake knowing that purple and orange have knights and you are the hit, I think you could have put a road into the 4 ore and open a settle spot, black is capped with settles and he cant plow and they wont feed it to him anw, or just pull for another dev. You could have also put a road down again in the turn after that (34:40 ) but you didnt as well. idk
Fun game. Black saying that feeding the road to orange was a mistake is hilarious though. The dude is at 9 points and would've won ages ago with the road haha. This way everyone had a chance.
Dylan does a lot of things that he doesn't mean to do. Like building on spots he doesn't mean to build, and stealing from opponents he doesn't mean to steal. His fingers have a mind of their own.
Black could have circled the 6 brick and settled on 2/6 to break oranges road, settle, and get longest road like 3 orbits before the end. What an insane game Edit: I’m talking about black at 39:22. He had the win in hand and missed it. Edit2: Nevermind, I realize now that he already had a total of 15 roads built so he had none left to build.
Talking about black… At 39:22 he had 17 cards in hand. He could build three roads around the 6 brick and settle on the 2/6 to win. It would split longest road and give him his 10th point He ports 12 cards (6 brick and 6 wood) but he also rolled wheat so he doesn’t need that. Use 6 cards to build 3 roads port 3 wood for sheep. Settle on 6/2 to win. He still had 1 card leftover after porting 12 and building a city. Not sure what it was, but it was NOT an ore, so he had the win in hand and missed it.
I was thinking about that and I think it’s tempting but then he’d probably get solo blocked every subsequent chance, and likely lose army eventually. I liked the idea though
I was just at that point in the video , he basically ported his 4 wood for ore+grain , but he had ore in hand so he ported for 2 grain and gave him ore+grain for 4 wood which he ported . If that makes sense (+got a nb for 2 port shares)
@@Drengen10 if you listened , he needed grain and ore for a city before , so when he got an ore he didnt say anything , but yeah dylan used 4 wood for 2 grain amd kept one for himself , but that ore helped with a city for other player
I disagree with the city too. You can buy 1 or 2 more devs, pretty much lcok army, look less threatening and the city does really little tbh. You also need the extra devs to slow down OJ and black.
You could break the agreement, but then nobody would ever make that deal with you again. It seems like a small community at the top level of this game too.
low key i think dylan thinks out loud too much which is why he always runs out of time during robbers or misclicks when making moves. better to just think it through in your head, make the move, and then say something in post if you wanna discuss it, or try not to literally say every single thought in your head bc ive done that before and it takes up mental space which could be used for more useful things.

Hi Brickedup25. I am your biggest fan.
Good game bro, looks like we’re all here because of Dyl :D what an amazing game catan is, and what a game this one was, well played and good luck in the tournament!
You guys were great enemies, super enjoyble to watch
Was really enjoying watching this game, probably the closest game I have ever watched.
This has gotta be the craziest game I've seen on this channel, beautiful stuff. Really interesting to watch things play out when you're at a table with skilled players!
That game was a lot of fun. The fast timer makes me blunder so much 😅. Great to have you back Dylan!
Yo this game was NUTS, the collaboration shenanigans was insane
🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯 my brain is hurting. What a game!
This is the best game I’ve ever seen. Your opponents were SO SMART!
I don't think Ive ever seen a game that ended that close. So sick

soo happyy you are back and being consistent :') Thanks for the content Dylan
You should stop clicking when explaining placements, you're editing in visuals for us anyway lol
It was bound to happen lmao
Really happy you blurred the board on the intro! Keep up the vids man!
Great game. Gotta respect oj's tabletalk and talk and talk and talk and talk and talk and talk and talk and talk ... :)

Game of the year right here
ready for another banger tourny game... im stoked!
Fun game.

Crazy Game, the other guys were super good and friendly. Super enjoyble to watch
Best opponents ever!
Don't think I've ever seen a catan game with so much trading and negotiations for nb's and ns's. And the port servicing
Just wanted to say you missed placing a road for the last few orbits to open up settle since you can’t get plowed by black. Well played otherwise.
Thought that too. He could have then ported his wood to settle at 40:14 for the win.
At 32:02 drop a road on the 4 ore and you win the next orbit.
@@ryanpuzzleshe was missing 2 bricks to win and can only port wood for 1 so no win there.
One of the most interesting games this year probably. And it started with a misclick! Fantastic stuff.
This was the the most high level Catan game I’ve ever witnessed
black mad because yall didn't give him the guaranteed win ??? lol
Yeah he was a salty pirate
Bro had 9 points and 17 cards and was like “why are you taking road from me”
The is was one of the best games ever posted to YT
Great game, you had the win when you bought you third knight if you saved your cards and held for the city 29:56
Really fun game. Super cool opponents. :))
woaaaahhh, what a gamee

No, that wouldn't work.
He was out of roads

@@michael-solomon Ahhh I see. Great point.
Great game, great video!
what a game holy moly!
How do you join tournaments for Catan? I’ve been playin for a year now and am definitely interested!
What a game!
Nicely edited intro
buddy jsut drop a road tot he 4 ore and u could have settled so amny ties
sick game
What an amazing game!
what happens if you hold here 29:50 and only pop once
dang that was an insane game
Crazy ass game
Do you ever plow purple with the yop and go for the double play there ?
I was thinking about that and I think it’s tempting but then he’d probably get solo blocked every subsequent chance, and likely lose army eventually. I liked the idea though
@@ddddddbingbong exact same thought
i saw that too but he def gets soloed a ton and kills purples game too much which kills future collaboration
Wow great video
black was kinda mad but it was a needed move
Sick game
17:15 im pretty sure you somehow scammed him for a NB and 2 free woods xD
I was just at that point in the video , he basically ported his 4 wood for ore+grain , but he had ore in hand so he ported for 2 grain and gave him ore+grain for 4 wood which he ported . If that makes sense (+got a nb for 2 port shares)

Ok but why are you blurring the intro in the video when you put your misplaced settle in the thumbnail 🤣
womp womp
Good game
I think voice chat makes the game not as good though
Nice gaaaaame!!!
Black would of 100% won if they hadn't plowed the road. I get they were mad to lose but it was the correct play
ploughing purple does nothing since he has a super hard time to win. THe other 2 players are out in front.
why do ppl feel bound to that ns and nb crap, its a game, after all dirty mono is a thing too
