The button lock spring is upside down , if it's not in the right configuration it will stay locked in the closed position. Flip that spring around and it will work right.
I have been in love with that knife since before it came out. The bidding has been going a little crazy on it. I am trying to be patient and wait till the commotion settles down.

HOly shit! First Twosun with not only a button lock, but dual-row bearings too!
KPL Heavy or Graphite grease works real good on the spring and button part to remove the clicking
Try dry oil for bike chains. It is a lot less messy.
I have one and you can use the thumb stud to flick it open without pressing the lock button... Try it..
I finally figured out how to fix it. I had my spring under the button lock backwards. It’s okay now
It looks pretty badass, even if the thumbstuds are pointless. It would have been really slick to design it with a flipper tab that disengaged the lock and worked as a secondary opening method. 🤔

Just FYI The Thumb Stud is not for show.. you CAN open the knife w/o using the button.. the detent is strong so you may have to force it a littke in the beginning, but I am watching other reviews and watching people flick the TS 313 open w/o pressing the button.. I have a TS 338 and I thought the same thing,,, I couldnt open it unless I forced it a little, and then it got easier....although it did Stick a little...

Interesting knife. I like button lock knives. Don't know about it also locking it closed thus becoming only way to open and close could be classified as a gravity knife. Which many places have it ad illegal.

Someone put the plunge spring in backwards for the button spring. This should work with thumb studs for sure. The “detent” to break loose is just very strong. Even tho there is no detent technically…should be able to reverse flick and all tho
The thumbstuds on mine work fine.... thats crazy
I’m late but mine just got delivered. The knife is beautiful, I really want to love this knife but the action is what kills this. The thumb-stud is sharp and needs to be a bit smaller and centered for better action. The detent is way too strong and stiff. The button lock is crunchy and has button and blade sticking. I wish they revisit and correct the problems and release the new and improved version.
So, a Protech Malibu and Mordax will freely swing close without holding the button, and without a flick of the wrist once released. Will this do that also, or does it require holding the button and or using wrist to help it shut? Thanks for the great review.
Blade shape looks like the Ganzo FH61.
Should be able to thumb and middle finger flick. Did you get it working properly?

Impossible to get hold on; only place to get them are at Ebay auctions. They go for over 250 Dollars.
I was fortunate and picked one up for $234 after tax.
I paid $256 after tax for the TS195 in the frag pattern! Totally worth it though, IMHO.
Of course they are available at Ebay auctions. How is that impossible? That's where you get Twosun knives from. How do you think we all get them. Yes there are other suppliers who get stock here and there, but they aren't consistent, and you usually can't get the latest models. The question is though how much are you willing to pay. All these new people suddenly interested in twosun are driving the prices up to ridiculous amounts. So you either have to wait for the price to come down, or get in there and bid more than the next guy. Me I'm not going to pay that much for the button lock. I'll wait until the prices average much less than they have been. Unfortunately there are many more new people who are now after twosuns and it makes it hard to wait

I’ve seen two other reviews and they opened them just fine with the thumb studs.
I can open mine by the thub stud just fine. I can also middle finger flick it.
IT opens with the thumb studs, at least mine dose.
Mine did as well when I first received it but after lubricating the button lock mechanism due to lock stick…. It won’t do it anymore. Weird
@@LuvThemKnives Try reversing the spring. Mine did the same thing. Deployed fine out if the box, then it wouldn't after disassembly. I took it apart and flipped spring...bingo!

Just don't say you got it for less than $200, lol. I've seen you quote some prices like on the 328 that I have a hard time believing. I've been watching this one since the beginning, but I'm still waiting. No way in hell I'm paying 200 even for a smallish titanium twosun. I've never payed over 150 for any Twosun, and that was only because it was a rare discontinued model. I'm a huge fan of Twosun, anyone who knows me they know how many twosuns I have, but I'll buy another WE knife if it's getting in the 175 to 200 plus price range. Looks cool, and I love button locks, but Twosun isn't worth that much to me. They make great value knives with awesome unique and innovative designs and construction techniques, but their quality control isn't on par with the bigger brands yet, and they don't have the extras, box, zipper pouch, microfiber cloth, etc. So when it's in that price range I'm going with a brand that does. WE, Bestech, Rike etc. I just bought a Protech Malibu last month, but you know what your getting, and I feel like it's worth the premium price tag. Wish this one had 3.6 to 3.75" blade though

I've been told for years that I was missing out by not trying twosuns. In the last month or so I got a s110v TwoSun that performs like 14c28n and an m398 TwoSun that performs like D2. My question is, should I try some of their m390 that's reported to perform like S30V, or should I just cut my losses where I'm at?
Its nice to see twosun lean fully into the form over function category with those thumbstuds though. I'm not even mad.
I’ve got dozens of Twosuns and I actually use them. The best steels to use is their 12c, 14c and D2. I don’t think they have a good supersteel (heat treatment) supplier but the other steels are freaking fantastic. The 14c is my favorite.
You must of gotten an old one because my s110v is real s110v the edge retention is pretty crazy. Haven’t sharpened it in a long long time.
They messed up the lock, my Malibu can open from the button with a fling or from the flipper tab. Is it just a strong detent or actually locked shut when closed? My maverick has a detent so strong I can't open it with my thumb side hole but I have seen knives that prioritize the flipper action too much, which makes it less fun to figit. SOG does this a lot
I can open my TS 313 by middle finger flick, thumb flick, or depressing the button and flipping it out.
@@Eternalgameplayer sounds like his may have a messed up detent like my maverick. I think mine is positioned too close to the frame lock on the other side from the thumb opening side because I make sure I'm not touching the frame lock at all with my hand. That was my first thought, that I must be putting pressure on the lock side, but I made sure no part of my hand touched any part of the bar and it still won't open from the thumb side. I can open it with any of my first three fingers on the other side so I don't know what is wrong with it.
Civivi button lock on steroids. Not a fan of button lock deployment.

@@Eternalgameplayer I could have purchased one yesterday from someone. They said the same thing there's will not deploy without pushing the button in. Seems to be there is a problem with them as this is the fourth one I have heard of that will not deploy with the thumbstuds.
