Really dig the looks of this guy! Great review thanks man!
Sweet looking knife. Liking the button locks. Thanks for the review!
Twosun is definately pumping out some real winners as of late and I wish I could get them all just Like collecting Pokemon lol. Loving the look and the grind is great. A little worried about the button being too sensitive but as their first one they did great. Keep making sharp things fun and enjoyable.
Sweet review, Jerad! Was really looking forward to this one! Happy to see you point out the faults as I know many folks are interested in this one. Personally, I love it, but it's not going to be everyone's cup of tea. For their first button-lock, they did a good job. They can only improve from here, which is a great thing for us consumers!
Im wondering if they will tune some things on the second batch
@@NeevesKnives as long as it’s not just the radio station they’re listening too! 😂 then things can only get even more impressive on this piece, plus if they do really get them points sorted out then it’s going to be a right little bit of head work trying too catch this one in stock anywhere!! Much love too you guys 😘👍🏼
Wow I like the contouring around the button.....THANKS FOR SHARING....
The gimping is nice and fine like on the NIMBLE....
Hey man AWESOME video
See on the next one....
Nice review. Glad to see a TwoSun button lock. Hopefully there are more to come.
Very nice. Twosun is killing it! ✌️
That looks just like the LionSteel TRE milling on the TI side of the knife. I love how it feels in hand too.
Man is TwoSun just getting more killer! I gotta say, something about the way you handle knives makes them look even cooler than they already are 😁 no joke!
Ha true
😆
I can definitely see why Two Sun are getting a ever increasing name in the knife world. Thank you very kindly for bringing us another very interesting review as always Jerad stay safe and healthy brother 😘👍🥃🥃✌️
finally a button lock, i'm so over liner and frame lock when there are such better lock types. you should do a before and after comparison of the grind after you sharpen it
Yeah IL probably do that 👍
Are you crazy?
I can't believe I didn't run across this gem before! Tired of liner locks too, so it's nice to see them jump on the button lock bandwagon! If you're reading this Jared, I think if you changed the angle of that flat grind to be just a hair thinner, it'd kill two birds with one stone in making it slicier and take care of the tip stick some too! All in all, I really want one of these now!
💥 Bang 💥! Nice looking knife and it looks very guillotine like.
Great review!
The ramp that the button rides up to unlock it was the problem with mine on the super strong detent it just was not done very well. I improved it and polished it on mine now it is super smooth and dialed in . The thumbstuds are finger grinders with the slot in them I had to turn them but do plan on putting tritium in the slot so that will be cool. Overall I do really like and glad they did a button lock .
Yeah im hoping to see them do more and hopefully improve which i have no doubt they will as this is there first one, and for the first one its impressive with a ton of potential
These blades have came a long way
Mine also has detent lash. I also took some sand paper to the thumb studs, also I've 'waved' it opened a few times. Hasn't got me yet.
Yeah i think they could possibly do another one even better in the future
Ooohhhhh 😍😍
Not Sure I uderstand Detent Lash Fully.... but I believe I may have experienced it on my TS338. I am returning the 338 and hopefully winning the 313 on EBAY
Alot of button locks don't have great acoustics (I'm lookin at you Malibu) but this one sounds pretty nice
Yeah the Audible makes it visible to my eyes in a good way 👊
@@NeevesKnives 😂😂😂
You should try giving it some light spine taps to see if the lock holds up. Thats an issue that some people, including myself, are running into on the Hoback Sumo. Not present on any of my other button locks, but would be interesting to see if its present anywhere else.
Yeah its solid, if you felt the spring strength on this one its strong, but i did check, not hard but enough to know its solid
@@NeevesKnives you think that the spring could be what causes the Sumo to fail?
Two sun gonna have an automatic soon lol 😂 they’re making so many power moves
Great review, since I have one on the way... 😁👍🔥🗡️
Nice!
How you like it?
Whew these are Purdy
Is the clip reversible?
I want to return my TS338 and get this knife in its place... 338 is too small.. This is considerably bigger yes?
Good morning. The thumb studs look like the ones Twosun uses on the TS301, which I have and love. Are they the same studs or are they even bigger?
They are larger and a bit different as well these are round, the 301 has a chamfer around the top. These are just round
@@NeevesKnives I just held the 301 up t screen and I see the difference now. I'm thinking I like the 301 studs better. 🤷🏻♂️. I do like the 313 and would not kick it out of bed but for the $ I'm going on hold off and see what Twosun does next.
I’m late but mine just got delivered. The knife is beautiful, I really want to love this knife but the action is what kills this. The thumb-stud is sharp and needs to be a bit smaller and centered for better action. The detent is way too strong and stiff. The button lock is crunchy and has button and blade sticking. I wish they revisit and correct the problems and release the new and improved version.
WoW, Thems some thumb studs eh?! They meant it when they stuck those chonks in there.
Guy comes out with massive studs to the boss( this big?) ......Boss (BIGGER!) 😆
Where can I get one. I really want one. Want it for a b day gift to myself. Please help
“Fuck the free world!! 313!!!” Anyone who knows where that line is from gets a ⭐️
8 mile
Hey jarad I’m frustrated dude can you please tell me the best place to buy two sun in the US or I have to order from China?
Ebay or Amazon, white mountain knives gets them but they go fast so you want to get on an email list. Allie express is another one. But all sites aside from WMK will have a waiting time between 1 to 4 weeks on average. Imo you want to get the ones above ts100 the lower the number the older
The Protech Malibu and Mordax will freely swing close without holding the button, and without a flick of the wrist once released. Will this do that also, or does it require holding the button and or using wrist to help it shut? Thanks for the great review.
If you push the button it falls shut hard,
@@NeevesKnives But do you have to HOLD the button while it falls, or will it continue to fall shut off you let go of the button? Protech only requires the button to initially release, and doesn't have to be held for the blade to drop closed.
@@squarebody4546 I wish he had answered this
@@michaelvoorhees5978 I bought this one in the end. Honestly, it's just ok. It doesn't fit the hand well. The forefinger notch in the handle is too wide for one finger, too small for two. Just grips lousy. Also, I took it apart to clean up the action. There were some grinding misses that I filed with my Sharpmaker rods. The blade will NOT freely drop shut unless you hold the button. You have to shake it a bit to get it to shut. Looks cool, but 6 out of 10 on execution. Bummer, as I really like Two Sun. I have a number of button locks as they are my favorite lock up. The smoothest of all is Protech, but Kizer Cormorant is almost as good once broken in. Actually, the Cormorant action is shockingly good for the money. Oh also, I was pull cutting once to cut a zip tie. I inadvertantly was pushing the lock release as I gripped it and when I got thru the zip tie the blade flung shut on my hand. Thank God it didn't slice me open, but it's now for display or minor tasks. I no longer trust it. Button sticks out too far unless you're nowhere near that button. Needs reworking.
Never took mine apart…bought on eBay direct from TwoSun. Mine just wont open with out pressing the lock button😢
Your detent is probably just very strong, after closing it try popping it in and out if it wont, take it apart and flip the spring in the lock
Did you have trouble deploying it with the thumb studs in the beginning? I just received one and it’s almost impossible to deploy with the thumb studs. Action is really good with the button lock though.
It definitely had an extremely strong detent
@z28camarobc Did yours ever improve and get easier to deploy? I'm running into the same issue. I just got one and It's destroying my thumb and only works once in awhile.
I've looked far and wide and can't find this knife.
eBay is your best bet!
Me too. Cant find it anywhere. Must be a unicorn knife
They sold out but will return
More hollow grinds.
I want 1 for sure. Where the hell you find this 1?
eBay is your best bet!
@@cueball981 already look no luck. Thanks anyway
@@letsgobrandon4260 It'll come back!
They should be back on ebay and Amazon soon
@@NeevesKnives well hopefully soon. I have the ts81 in titanium and bone. Love it.
It's out of stock😔
It will be back,
JAred, I got my TS313 today and I wanted to ask you if there were any Scams or Fakes you knew about.. Everything looks legit.. However I got it from China.. Not Sure if its a good thing or a bad thing being theyre made in China.. The ONLY reason I ask is on the Blade MY knife says TS313 M390 and in all the vids I see it just says M390.. If you give me an Email Ill send you a pic.. Figured you'd know.. Thanks
It’s a later model
@@johnjosephcarpenter7572 Thank you man! I have since resolved that it IS Authentic.. Ill sell it too, if anyone is intrerested.. Exacyly what I paid... $160
Before to long TwoSuns will no longer be a knife for us “poors” looking for M390 and Ti. Nothing lasts forever I guess lol.
M390 for 130 and less is a steel, in many cases you will get it for way less, of course ts collectors will pay crazy for the newest versions but that goes down after a coupl batches
Can’t say that blade shape does anything for me at all
Not for everyone, that's for sure. Still a great first effort from TwoSun doing a button lock!
I was never into the trailing point upswept type look, was always too Japanese looking for me. But the ts301 got me looking at them differently. Now I dig the WE synergy, ts 190, etc and this as well
@@AudibleVisibIe the most up swept blade I like is my xm-18 Bowie. I don’t mind the Persian style blade on the small zt0460ti. I purchased that zt for my fiancé and she likes it.
@@tallica4life81 yeah hinderers bowie shapes are awesome
@@AudibleVisibIe I like it because it looks pretty but in use I prefer my slicer grind that I had reground. It’s a good working blade shape spear point.
$250 on white mountain knives and sold out 😆
I'm never going to pay $250 for a chinese made knife.
WE? Reate? 🙃
This knife is worth every bit 250.00. I won't ever pay 300.00 for a Taiwan Spyderco "The Tuff"...soooo... point being?
The key word here is "I"....as in "I" would never pay $250 for a chinese knife.
I love reate and would definitely pay this much money for a Chavez or something like that.
I like twosun but they're prices are increasing and this whole button lock system has given several manufacturer's a reason to jack up they're prices.
I'm not going to spend $450 on a protech Malibu either...
That's retarded.
I'm not going to spend $107 on one of the new civivi carbon fiber button lock elementum's either , even though that is way more reasonable.
@@donniedoobie9627 appreciate you providing your perspective. Personally, I've paid $255 for a carbon fiber bugout that I regret purchasing to this day. If we were to take the button lock away and give this TwoSun a frame-lock, I still would justify paying $250 based on the materials and build quality of this one. I spent $210 on the Upshot. Great knife but compared to the TS313, it's not even close. I do like this knife though a lot, so yes I can't say I'm not biased. Lol! I didn't pay $250 for it though. I had better luck bidding on an auction.
@@donniedoobie9627 okay so it doesn’t matter where the knife is made I thought you just hated it because it was from China. Two sun is usually the fairest brand because eBay auctions the people decide the price
Yuk!
