Great looking knife, perfect size for me as I prefer the larger knives that Twosun has to offer. Love that they use 14C28N on most of their knives. Hard to hit that balance of great slicer and heavy duty use but with great ergos it really comes close. Keep making sharp things fun and enjoyable
I was lucky enough to catch my ts380 on white mountain knives. All said and done with priority shipping, 99$
Sweet
Lovin mine for sure! Biggest complaint for mine: detent is definitely too soft, flipper deployment fails more than I'd like. Noticed that the detent ball doesn't sit in the hole very deep. I'd like to widen the detent hole, but afraid of messing it up and creating detent lash. Otherwise, high marks on everything else regarding this knife. Thanks for sharing!
Someone else said there detent seemed to strong, you can increase the lock bar strength to increase the detent strength, if your detent isn't dropping in see if there's a tiny burr around the edge of the hole
Okay okay, I’ll get one.
👍
This looks like it should go in the collection.. thanks once again for a great review!
I’ve bought a Twosun Zenith, TS27. I’m keen to check it out. I bought it from China off eBay for just over $50AUS. It hasn’t arrived yet, I only bought it a few days ago.
I’ve got my eye on their titanium models.
They won’t buy your coal or grain but you’ll buy their TwoSuns! 🤦
@@Quagmire925, WFT are you on about?
@@adammcguinness9950 China’s trade war against Australia! What rock are you living under?
And what has that got to do with me? I live in Australia but I’m not in the government mate. It’s got sweet FA to do with me…
@@adammcguinness9950yeah sorry I should have known better. 👍
Going on my wish list. Thanks!
I loath T6 aswell, I've wrecked so many I had to buy a 65 dollar special tiny screwdriver kit from Germany just to get my recon1 open...grrrrr. Still though, nice driver kit gotta admit... I think both Germans and Swiss are born with a tiny screw driver kit like in a special umbilical compartment so they know their tiny engineering tools.
Well, after seeing this last night, I ordered it on Amazon. Now I just have to hope it gets here before I die. lol it won't be here until the end of December or sometime in January.😁 But it does look like something I want, so thanks again for your content.
How is The knife ?
@Hungry Bird very good, it got here in December. It was sharp out of the box and it feels real good in the hand. I haven't chopped a tree down with it, but cuts boxes like a champ. lol
Well thanks for the link Jerad! Hope using it helped you since you over paid. I’m still waiting on it though. I know it takes a month from what you and others have said! Thank Jerad! ✌🏽
Thanks Benny 👊
In the bucket lust now mate 🤘🏼
Not sure how i missed this 1, thanks for the info
Cool knife, I've got a ton of old school slippies and that blade shape reminds me of a classic spey blade.
Yeah I agree totally
Whoa I actually love this one. I would get a flipper delete and add a swedge. Hmmm....
Yeah I thought about that
Where is the safest place to buy a Twosun? You have definitely peaked my interest with this brand. On Amazon, the seller of these isn’t twosun so that leads me to think there is a shot of getting a knock off.
My links come from TS on Amazon even if the listing isn't from TS, it's an affiliate program link, but the best place is white mountain knives but they sell very quick and can be difficult to catch
You made a good choice on picking that one out. It’s a bargain for the quality. I just watched an old Cedric and Ada video with steel test results and they doubled 14C28N retention by using a 16 degree/polished edge. You probably already know this but it was great seeing data.
Absolutely, yeah 14c does really well with thin geometry and takes incredible polished edges, I'm not sure if it's the toughness or it's edge stability but it's performance increases a lot with the right edge geometry, even more percentage while than some other steels
Jared is the man . 15 degrees quadruples the retention . Just kidding , making jokes . 14c takes a real nice edge
@@Hungrybird474 Jerad puts a nasty edge on a knife for sure.
Awesome review...Love twosun knives, but damn brother, I'm having a hard time keeping up with you...Just picked up a couple Kubey's (221 & 122) from your recent reviews.
My addiction is in full swing now!! My shrink suggested I quit watching your vids...I suggested he start with something fidgity, maybe a twosun or civivi!
😆 I suggest you find another shrink 👨⚕️
My Ti Roach came in today and I think a mirror edge will look awesome on it if you still want to do it.
Absolutely hit me up on Instagram or email
great video. waiting on mine
Согласен с автором видео. Мне тоже нравится этот дизайн и форма. Пожалуй только начал понимать, какие ножи мне действительно нравятся. Изначально я тоже искал подобный нож, со спусками от обуха.
I want one! ✌️
Buy another one, do a flipper delete, full front choil, send to BGM and have a nice hollow regrind. That would be sick!
I'm definitely considering it especially now that you rubbed it in my face
Looking at getting my first two sun. This is definitely in the top 5. Don't know if I want a hard use or more "fancy" knife
Go with the 223, 129 or the 301 or 162 as a first 👍
I like that you carry cheaper knives on the regular... I always feel like unless its under a hundred, if it's not made for hard use like a recon or this thing, I don't wanna use it or take it outside, whereas a civivi (not to be confused with civvie lol godblessim) or a CH, (my everyday is the Keizer Begleiter just love that shape and a sucker for thumb studs, but hard use is a recon 1) .
Still don't understand the whole crowd of 'these are nice things and shouldn't be used as basic tools.... letter openers only'... lookin at you Kevin...
I would carry a nicer blade, but f- there's a point where it becomes jewelry not a tool, and then what's the point right?
Facts
I was going to get a civivi voltaic and thought it through when I saw this 🤣😝
I think it’s a sweet knife for a sweet price . I was going to buy a civivi teraxe and then I seen this on Amazon and for 10 extra bucks I took this one . Still love the ts129 . Dude , so fricken good . Yeah my 8cr spiderco doesn’t hold as long 😆 but still ..cuts while sharp but the 3v and s90 and S35VN I like better . So you still got this one ?
I do actually still have this one, it's loaned out to another channel atm
@@NeevesKnives spreading the love . That’s cool all you dudes share knives to check out .
I would leave the grind how it is.
I already know I will still like the ts 129 better but I went for it anyways and I’m baked bro and happy 😊 it’s Saturday night and can sleep 💤 in tomorrow and wake up to a hearty breakfast and we re going to shoot AR s and high precision 50-600 yds of it’s not too windy .
Have fun! 👊
@@NeevesKnives it’s in town . This time it’s taking 5 weeks , usually two on others . Have a great day Jared .
Did he mention the weight? Is it over my 4.5 Oz limit?
Yes, I put the weight in the beginning it's right after the price, yes it's over 4.6
Sold out on Amazon already.
They will be back, If you hit the bell for notification then you will have first opportunity when I post before the good ones sell out
It’s back 2/2023😊
I’m having mixed feelings with twosun right now. I’ve bought a bunch of them the past 2 months and almost all of them have QC issues. I don’t think the titanium and blade steel justifies the price ($120 or less) for those little imperfections that I’ve experienced,
I haven't had any issues with the last 10 or so I've gotten, but to each there own. You can always try other companies and see if your happier, I'm wondering what models you chose, out of 300 or so I only recommend about 20
@@NeevesKnives i got the ts72 (its hard to disengage the frame lock as it feels stiff and sharp), ts263 (found rust on one of the hardware), ts196 (the grind is not symmetrical on both sides looks very ugly), ts224 (still with asymmetrical grind and with an area of pallor near the edge of the blade), ts177 (this is the better one out of the bunch - there is something i wanted more from this I can’t explain.. maybe the location of the thumb hole is not perfect and the milling on the handle is kinda sharp when you’re really doing some serious stuff). i recently got the kizer sheepdog and i can say that knife and my twosuns are worlds apart in terms of fit and finish and the action.
Please quote actual measurements rather than just your comments. What does thick mean? Who knows. Quote actual dimensions. Thanks
I’ve missed like 3 videos recently. UA-cam isn’t giving me notifications 100% of the time anymore. I hate that. Hopefully unsub/resub makes it’s better.
You call that a knife...
yup
