Mistakes that were easily corrected i might add...lol 😂 Ya'll are killing the barn build, it'll look great when youre done. Congratulations on the power hookup, its going to help immensely. Love ya'll ❤️
Your doing a great job on leveling. I put some 6 inch post in the ground years ago and after 10 years one of the post rotted off and fell over. Try to make your concrete go up high around your post so rain water can drain away. If it holds water in the hole it will rot your post off. FACT.
Concrete is porous and it dries the treatment out of the posts. Adding more won't help the situation. Nor will adding gravel around each post. There are wraps that I have heard work but the best method is just add piers and add hardware that sits above the top of the concrete. This is what I have done with all my buildings. I have one at 10 years that a pick won't go in more than an eighth of inch. Still as solid as the day I built it.
Wow congratulations First Land then little barn, then Silo then power and now the big barn..not to mention all the fencing and cleaning up the property to make all this happen..so happy for you guys..
Hey Jason and Danielle- like how the barn build is going. Best part is no generator noise, lol. Special Thanks to Josh and Easton 👍for the Electric hookup. Nothing like power tools making the noise. Awesome job guys !!!
Good morning Jason and Danielle how you doing this morning hope everything is good out there so you guys are happy now okay have a great day and be careful out there still have to pay the PG&e bill but you guys got to do what you guys I care about you guys have a great day and have fun out there enjoy the barn
You guys are busting that barn out pretty fast. The leveling laser is pretty cool, not familiar with those, very handy indeed. Great job as always guys!!
I am 45 now and according to my mom I have loved this song since I was 2 years old my mom has been dead 16 years now every time I hear this song it reminds me of her
Construction ideas to save your knees from pain. Get an old couch cushion to lay on ground to save your knees from getting beat up. If not one of those orange boat seat cushion floatation devices.
I love that you tell us you have made mistakes and correct them so others can learn…the barn is really coming on… so happy for you having power…that’s major Jason…
Coming right along. Good Danielle was there to help. How are you going to run power to the other buildings. Above ground or under? Will be nice when you get it all done. You have come a long ways guys. Thanks for sharing
I have been watching you now and then. It is amazing how you never give up. I would love to see your whole story. You have had to start over from scratch several times but you have never lost your enthusiasm. As said, you are amazing.
Congratulations to you both, barn looks great, learn and lessons. We have had 8 kids born out of 3 doe's. Two sets of triplets one set of twins. 5 more doe's to kidd this week. Had a healthy set of kits birn this weekend too. We have so many babies here in the farm Thank you for sharing. Till next time God Bless.
Awe its so sad to see you guys have to loose some of those big mature trees, maybe plant some shrubbery that grows tall for Privacy, when the buildings are done!!! Pole Barn is starting to really come along!! Way to go guys!!!! Always good to show your mistakes, helps others learn!!! I still havent seen the Video where you get Power.... Love You Both ~Kim G. P.S. Awesome you guys have Power-Jason that has to feel good!!!
At 10:10 it seems like now that you established the height of those 5 boards wouldnt it be faster from this point to then use a chalk line to mimic what you did and run it across the front of the barn and also one side? (Run a chalk line on top of each of the 5 boards.) just a thought. Great quality work!
You should think of the maneuver like when they'd make a mess on the ground.I think you should cement. The floor instead of having sand so it's easier to clean out
Look's like the East Central engineer talked you into a single phase connection, you might regret that down the road someday. Should you ever need to power a larger HP motor, 3 phase is far superior. Yet simply having power is a huge improvement.
I feel ya pain. I am building a tiny house. First time with construction math. I was not aware that a 2 x4 was not actually 2" x 4"....cuz that would just make sense. LOL Don't even get me started on plywood. You thought toilet paper math was hard....construction math is insane. (Hot tip: I went to a local mill, you ask for a 2x4 of rough lumber and that is exactly what you get.)
Before levelling, maybe put a French drain around the barn, just to be sure you won’t have water issues. Great job team !

From grade mark, pop a line corner to corner! 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾 Great job tho! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
I wish my country would allow us to build non habitable dwellings without codes and permits.
Bar is coming quick
👀 ing Good 👍 Jason and Danielle ❤❤
I'm gonna subscribe, so you can buy some knee patches for Danielle's britches!.......lol
Heck yeah.....looking good 😊 woohoo
Why don't you run a heavy duty electric cord to the barn? or just run another electric line to the barn.
power power lol .heck yes
Going up fast
Take 5.5 (2x6)x5 = 27 1/2 then add 4 spaces at 17 1/8 = 68 1/2 gives you 96 or 8' thank you .
