Honestly, I'd rather them not to that. Kpop industry, as an entertainment industry should be debuting talented idols instead of debuting sub par idols who are good looking. I mean, if they only pick the pretty ones instead of those who can actually sing, then everyone can become idols. A lot of trainees quit on their dream because of the high standards, some trainees stay in a company for 7 to 10 years but still can't debut because they couldn't reach the standards

In the case of Rose I’m guessing it’s because Jisoo’s voice is deeper, and since Rosé can sing in the voice they want they have her do that to round out the sound of the group.
The problem is thinking that a deeper, more full voice is automatically less feminine or cute! Members of StayC, Mamamoo, LOONA and BVNDIT prove that you can still be feminine and beautiful while having deep voices.
Rosé had a heavy voice before training which was definately beautiful and still her voice is good but yg made her voice in some a little like a shreek and also a lot of soft turn is given to her voice.. I feel like she can definitely rock in it with just a little practice of hitting high notes
No it’s called singing nasally. It’s a singing technique. Her technique wasn’t underdeveloped when she debuted meaning she had sang and developed her technique before debut. She got into yg using her real voice so why would she need to sing in a different way if doesn’t want to?

Maybe rosé strained her voice somewhat in 2018/ early 2019. But afterwards no, especially in 2020 & 2021, shes improved her her stability very much & has always sounded good & sounds much more amazing now, no straining yet.
I have never hear rosè sound bad she is always on pitch and stable so i think is how she grew up it’s a natural change not a forced change and I think is better than before the debut we all can see her power in her voice

For example, this year in The Show she was straining soo hard everytime a slightly higher note came in, and even tho I love her voice I couldn't stop cringing and the same happened on the OTG promotions. I dare to say that the 2019 voice was her best one (or at least, the best perfomances). Its very common in pop groups to have the management make the members with the "angelic personality" use the nasal and strained technic even tho it's a terrible one, it already happened in so many groups and is such a popular take that I imagine that it's Rosé's case.
It was the same in USA, Britney Spears also has to change her voice to more cute, nasal voice when it's not natural to her to sing like that and she can't sing like that anymore

Indeed! I once heard this from aespa members. SM train their trainees with songs that fit their voices. They usually try to improve what they can already do. That's a great way to do it.

Nobody talks about how SM basically made Sunny sing with an aegyo voice til Jessica left SNSD. She's been a lead vocalist all along but she didn't sound like it because she didn't get good lead vocal lines til Sica was gone
With one less member to distribute lines to, it was almost guaranteed that everyone else (not just Sunny) was going to get more time per song, after the leads whose share of time was pretty secure.

For instance, they might polish up Minnie to sing less dreamy and more like Miyeon (who's voice is a more classic k-pop sound) or make Yuqi sing in a higher range due to her deep voice. She liked the different flavors of sounds that her members give off and uses them as instruments in her songs.

If I'm not mistaken, all members of Twice except Jeongyeon are not using their real voice. They're following JYPE technique of singing that makes some of them sometimes struggle to sing live. They can sing better if they're letting them use their real voice like what they did during sixteen.
Well, the 3MIX, Jihyo, Jeongyeon and Nayeon still have their strong voice. Chaeyoung and Mina both use their voice. That leave us Tzuyu, Momo, Sana and Dahyun. Momo, like said in the video, was forced to use a fake voice. Sana could be singing a fake nasally voice. Tzuyu have a deep voice like Mina and Jeongyeon. It left Dahyun but I don't know about her. Everything I said could be wrong
@@congavang206 Chaeyoung does not use her real voice that often. She actually has a voice that fits R&B and they don't let her use her soulful voice often. Lately I've been hearing Nayeon and Jihyo sing with a deeper voice than normal and I love that, but that Mickey Mouse squeaky voice needs to stop in the girl groups. I still hear them sing way too high to be natural. They all cannot sound like that and it be natural. It took some time for me to figure out who is singing what parts in Twice because it sounded like they all were singing in fake voices for a while. Their music sounds more mature now. Thankfully.

Agree. She was not forced to change the vocals, she was improved and the vocals were delivered. This is the result of professional training and growing up as an artist.

Roseanne's old singing technique can be heard in 'Without You' by GD. I like her vocal colour now but damn her voice in that song was super solid. Well, as long as she is okay with it and is comfortable then it's all good.
At least Rosie's solo music is more in her natural tone. Hopefully all idols get to sing in their natural tone and keep their voice healthy. We as fans like it much better anyway when they sing normally rather than this other pitch that the company wants.

Lia from ITZY often has to sing out of her most comfortable range too, and although she has the technique to pull it off it's so unfortunate that we rarely get to hear the deeper, huskier tones she's capable of. I can't help but feel that JYPE isn't letting her show her full potential.

I don’t think rosè was forced, I think she likes to switch up. She can go high and low which is pretty amazing, in bp and her songs she uses her low voice for the background vocals.
Actually even if Rosé sang with her ‘’natural voice’’ she would still have the same problems and maybe worse her nasality is helping her a bit with the higher notes and if she lost that her chest voice would be the same as Jennie or Jisoo (very chesty and maybe uncontrollable) the without you duet shows that she had more tension on that B4 than she has now, pre-debut Rosé just had a better placement that’s it! But I do think that YG makes her speak/talk in a chipmunk like voice, I also think that she is forced to act all cute, etc.
I don't think jyp prioritises momos vocals. When twice did a cover of gustas du, momo sounded amazing! And I think momo shined when twice covered move. Personally I still like her voice, and I don't really judge an idols vocal ability on sudden interviews and encores. But jyp is definitely not thinking of her when coming up with songs and concepts 😢
Sunny from SNSD has also talked abt how she doesn’t feel comfortable going solo bc she doesn’t like hearing her own voice since people have only expected her to sing a certain way for the past decade and a half she’s been in GG. Sunny’s actually a great vocalist (who am I kidding they all are in GG lmao) but she’s been playing the role of adding that bubbly and tight vocal color to the group for so long that I’m not even surprised she feels that way, which is super sad in itself. I’ll also mention Sulli so if anyone sees this, I hope y’all don’t act dramatic bc Jinri is literally my angel and I’m not tryna have triggering topics revolving around her in my mentions. But when she was in f(x), it was pretty obvious that she also had a specific role of being the cutesy, high pitched sub RAPPER. This made a lot of ppl bash on her bc they thought she couldn’t sing and that she was just an untalented visual which was NOT true at all if ppl actually listened to f(x) b-sides. Pretty much after she left f(x) and had more freedom to explore her hobbies and interests, she started to actually enjoy singing and dancing more. You can tell from her Goblin EP that she has an amazing, light and airy voice that carries well when she’s in a comfortable range and genre. Overall, the kpop industry has a lot of systemic problems, but it also has too much of a weird obsession with “concepts.” Imo, they needa let that shit go if they want to see genuine artistry from their musicians. Although Bom and Sunny unfortunately suffer from long term damage both mentally and physically, for cases like Sulli, it really opens up their expressive and creative freedom to sing and be who they want to be. Either way, it’d be a win/win situation for idols to see themselves more positively and developing healthier vocal techniques while being true to their own craft if only these damned companies would just respect their artists and treat them like human beings.
But I've actually noticed, that Momo is really skinny because her rib was visible and that scared me a LOT. JYP never looks after their health but only wants them to be zero-figure, cute, and have perfect voice as he wants. All the girl groups are treated like this according to what I know. I hope this ends as soon as possible or else our idols would damage their health.
Everybody knows that kpop is not about being a good singer, is about giving a great performance. Obviously there are some great vocalist in kpop, but is not that important. In pop is very important to be a good singer rather that giving the performance that you see in kpop.

DSP really force their idol to change their vocal. When Somin of KARD was in April, her voice was very childlike and squeaky. But after joining KARD, her voice change suddenly when she actually started to sing on her own voice. I'm happy that she is able sing with her own voice DSP also forced KARD's Jiwoo to change her vocal. Her voice is very low tone, deep and husky. If you hear their very 1st song like Oh Na Na, Hola Hola, Don't Recall you will see that her voice is a bit different that time. But then she was like f**k it, let me sing with my own voice. And I'm loving her actual low tone voice ♥️

Roses voice is really strained I am a blink myself but sometimes her voice becomes unbearable to hear yg did not did her right. If u hear rose s voice in gone it was so sweet but not the others songs and now she is so used to it that she even speaks in that voice which is not good for her. I kinda agree for Momo, even though the words used here were too harsh for me. But Rosé's voice is amazing, I actually didn't expect her to be in this video. It's absolutely not the same since that's only her singing in a wider register with more training and power
YG's vocal training for their main vocalists is definitely the worst out of the big 3. They have already ruined Park Bom's vocals and now they are trying to do the same to Rose😪 They only care about having a unique voice for their main vocalists and totally disregard proper singing techniques and the damage it will do to the singer's voice in the long run. When Park Bom appeared on Queendom, I was shocked to hear how hoarse she sounded and she was having such difficulties with singing throughout the whole show and couldn't sing well.. It was clear that her voice was already damaged.. I hope the best for Rose & that she doesn't go down the same road as Park Bom.

For example, this year in The Show she was straining soo hard everytime a slightly higher note came in, and even tho I love her voice I couldn't stop cringing and the same happened on the OTG promotions. I dare to say that the 2019 voice was her best one (or at least, the best perfomances). Its very common in pop groups to have the management make the members with the "angelic personality" use the nasal and strained technic even tho it's a terrible one, it already happened in so many groups and is such a popular take that I imagine that it's Rosé's case.

Nobody talks about how SM basically made Sunny sing with an aegyo voice til Jessica left SNSD. She's been a lead vocalist all along but she didn't sound like it because she didn't get good lead vocal lines til Sica was gone

Soyeon once said in an interview that she didn't want her members from (G)I-DLE to go under vocal training because she didn't want them to lose their natural voices. For instance, they might polish up Minnie to sing less dreamy and more like Miyeon (who's voice is a more classic k-pop sound) or make Yuqi sing in a higher range due to her deep voice. She liked the different flavors of sounds that her members give off and uses them as instruments in her songs.

I mean there’s a reason why SM vocals are better than YG and JYP vocals. SM knows how to teach the appropriate vocal techniques that suits the singer.

If I'm not mistaken, all members of Twice except Jeongyeon are not using their real voice. They're following JYPE technique of singing that makes some of them sometimes struggle to sing live. They can sing better if they're letting them use their real voice like what they did during sixteen.
Well, the 3MIX, Jihyo, Jeongyeon and Nayeon still have their strong voice. Chaeyoung and Mina both use their voice. That leave us Tzuyu, Momo, Sana and Dahyun. Momo, like said in the video, was forced to use a fake voice. Sana could be singing a fake nasally voice. Tzuyu have a deep voice like Mina and Jeongyeon. It left Dahyun but I don't know about her. Chaeyoung does not use her real voice that often. She actually has a voice that fits R&B and they don't let her use her soulful voice often.
Lately I've been hearing Nayeon and Jihyo sing with a deeper voice than normal and I love that, but that Mickey Mouse squeaky voice needs to stop in the girl groups. I still hear them sing way too high to be natural.
They all cannot sound like that and it be natural. It took some time for me to figure out who is singing what parts in Twice because it sounded like they all were singing in fake voices for a while. Their music sounds more mature now. Thankfully.

I don't have a problem on Rosé's voice, on her collab with gd the without you song I can her voice low and high range there, rosie has a wide range, and it doesn't mean that when your SPEAKING VOICE IS LOW THEN YOUR SINGING VOICE WILL BE THE SAME, not all people has the same technique in singing. If she's doing it wrong for a long time then why can she still sing properly it's because she has great technique, rosie's voice has a natural strain and it amaze me and you can't change that and that makes her voice special & unique. FYI in an interview rosie said that she likes the technique that she's using. Lia from ITZY often has to sing out of her most comfortable range too, and although she has the technique to pull it off it's so unfortunate that we rarely get to hear the deeper, huskier tones she's capable of. I can't help but feel that JYPE isn't letting her show her full potential.

Sunny from SNSD has also talked abt how she doesn’t feel comfortable going solo bc she doesn’t like hearing her own voice since people have only expected her to sing a certain way for the past decade and a half she’s been in GG. Sunny’s actually a great vocalist (who am I kidding they all are in GG lmao) but she’s been playing the role of adding that bubbly and tight vocal color to the group for so long that I’m not even surprised she feels that way, which is super sad in itself.
I’ll also mention Sulli so if anyone sees this, I hope y’all don’t act dramatic bc Jinri is literally my angel and I’m not tryna have triggering topics revolving around her in my mentions. But when she was in f(x), it was pretty obvious that she also had a specific role of being the cutesy, high pitched sub RAPPER. This made a lot of ppl bash on her bc they thought she couldn’t sing and that she was just an untalented visual which was NOT true at all if ppl actually listened to f(x) b-sides. Pretty much after she left f(x) and had more freedom to explore her hobbies and interests, she started to actually enjoy singing and dancing more. You can tell from her Goblin EP that she has an amazing, light and airy voice that carries well when she’s in a comfortable range and genre.
Overall, the kpop industry has a lot of systemic problems, but it also has too much of a weird obsession with “concepts.” Imo, they needa let that shit go if they want to see genuine artistry from their musicians. Although Bom and Sunny unfortunately suffer from long term damage both mentally and physically, for cases like Sulli, it really opens up their expressive and creative freedom to sing and be who they want to be. Either way, it’d be a win/win situation for idols to see themselves more positively and developing healthier vocal techniques while being true to their own craft if only these damned companies would just respect their artists and treat them like human beings.

But I've actually noticed, that Momo is really skinny because her rib was visible and that scared me a LOT. JYP never looks after their health but only wants them to be zero-figure, cute, and have perfect voice as he wants. All the girl groups are treated like this according to what I know. DSP really force their idol to change their vocal. When Somin of KARD was in April, her voice was very childlike and squeaky. But after joining KARD, her voice change suddenly when she actually started to sing on her own voice. I'm happy that she is able sing with her own voice

If you hear their very 1st song like Oh Na Na, Hola Hola, Don't Recall you will see that her voice is a bit different that time. But then she was like f**k it, let me sing with my own voice. Somi had a very powerful open voice which really stood out of the group and those poeple made her sing softly.... you know we all saw how much that girl went through to get back her beautiful powerful voice through unnies slam dunk 2

Roses voice is really strained I am a blink myself but sometimes her voice becomes unbearable to hear yg did not did her right.
If u hear rose s voice in gone it was so sweet but not the others songs and now she is so used to it that she even speaks in that voice which is not good for her.

I legit loved Rosie's deep voice, I don't really understand why why... Would YG want it to be more light? I mean, maybe because she's a vocalist and most vocalists have like the sweet voice, that's most, so that might be the reason, but there's actually no reason to force her to sing in a really girlish lightish voice... Her voice is already perfect! YG needs to learn to accept their artist normal voice.

I think Jyp does what he did to Momo to Itzy in a lighter way. Their songs is always high but only Yuna's voice is naturally that high. I hope they will have a chance to sing more suitable songs for their voices in the future.

YG's vocal training for their main vocalists is definitely the worst out of the big 3. They have already ruined Park Bom's vocals and now they are trying to do the same to Rose😪 They only care about having a unique voice for their main vocalists and totally disregard proper singing techniques and the damage it will do to the singer's voice in the long run.
When Park Bom appeared on Queendom, I was shocked to hear how hoarse she sounded and she was having such difficulties with singing throughout the whole show and couldn't sing well.. It was clear that her voice was already damaged.. I hope the best for Rose & that she doesn't go down the same road as Park Bom.
It's sad, Jisoo for example has such a good tone if only she got SM training/or good training, she would be one of the top vocalists right now. YG needs to get better vocal coaches.
Bom's vocals changed because of her health issues also Rosé's technique is completely ok it will not damage her vocals she even explain before that she likes her new technique in an interview
