Glad to hear you're a fan of Tekken! My brothers introduced it to me with Tekken 3 and I've been hooked since. I don't think I'll be playing Tekken 8, but hey.
I've gotten into fighting games over the last few years, but tekken 7 I tried and it immediately put me off, played a few matches and refunded instantly. With the release of tekken 8 I thought I'd give the demo a try, and I'm glad I did, I was very impressed. I'm hooked on this game now. I'm only 20ish hours in, and it's already recognizable as one of the best fighting games that'll be out for a long while
I personally bounced off Tekken 7 hard, did a lot to not appeal to me, but I can relate to the overall story here. It's all about being able to do the cool stuff.
It started going the opposite direction the past year with +R where I'd hop online as the default instead of losing myself in combos. Working on the two combo clips feels to have pulled things into a good balance.
An 8-year run for a game that almost didn't get made. That's pretty impressive.
Tekken 7 was my first fighting game, and also got me into the fgc. This game will always have a special place in my heart.

Yeah same, T8 just doesn't seem like it's for me. Makes me happy to have the Indie scenes to find new stuff to be excited about.

Amazing that you could get so into training mode in tekken. I need to develop that enjoyment of training, I have way too little online anxiety lol
