Yes they should . Story is incomplete without him and he is fun to play and to watch . I don't see any reason for not putting him back . Oh u mean he's broken ? Git gud 😉
He's only broken at the highest lev of play . In ranked it's pretty even . If you are getting beaten up then practice it ain't that hard . Never knew what's with this unnecessary hate . Ig people don't want to see akuma dominating tekken tournaments . Lol . 😆
17:09 Akuma was execution heavy in Tekken 7, but he did not have a subpar punish game. Without meter he already had outstanding 10-frame and 14-frame punishes. With meter his punishment left every other character in the cast out of sight, it wasn't even a competition. I was pretty plugged in to Tekken 7 at the end of its life where Akuma was at his weakest, and even at that point the only thing that kept him from being the undisputed best character was his difficult execution. When the player was on point and could follow through on their punishment, combos and convertions, Akuma was unbeatable.
The main reason Akuma was so difficult to balance in Tekken 7 was he had his OP mechanics from SF like 2D jump that crushed everything, cancels into super supers into launchers etc on top of automatically inheriting all Tekken's mechanics. So the character had more tools compared to the rest of the cast from the beginning. An other reason too was he could inflict chained damage (18:29 - 18:32) like a typical 10 hit combo would before he would even launch you. Only he and Geese could do that in the game and they popularized death combos
Tokido wasn't called "Murder Face" because of his expression, it was because for whatever reason he entered that particular tournament (just one, IIRC) as Murder Face, which was the same tournament where he did the Raging Demon pose against Clakey D.
He needs to do one on Morrigan--the lady that transcended not only her original series to dominate the tier list of one of the most hype fighting games ever (this is Mahvel, baybee!), but transcended even entire game GENRES to be a crossover RPG star. Oh, and in Riot's new fighter, 2xKO, her color scheme is also one of Ahri's chromas.
that 2017 run from Tokido was one of the greatest runs in tournament play ever. Not only did he run through very good players in losers to get to grand finals, he got his runback and absolutely destroyed Punk to win it. Still to this day, my favorite tournament I've ever watched. Oh, and it just happened to be the biggest annual tournament of the year. A lot of people loved to complain about Akuma, but in reality, Tokido was really the only one truly dominating with the character. Many tried the swap or pocket, many failed. Including the likes of Snake Eyez (Zangief), Haitani (Necalli), and many others. Guys like Takamura, who mained him, also struggled to get consistent results. Haitani, a 2D legend, went from consistently placing to struggling to make it back to top 8s after the swap. Top 24 was a reach even for him. The character demanded strong play otherwise you just died.
Bison is pretty wack tbh since his body is always decaying and switching to new one, in that same time he got one shot by Akuma he go grab a new one then nuke it when he fight Ryu and the gang
There was a fucking commercial during this video and there shouldn't have been due to me being a premium member who's account is up to date... I'd better not see another one!!!
Not gonna lie when tekken 8 mechanic reveal announcement played and i saw heat dash, i was thinking "Wow everyone gonna be akuma now". And fast forward now the game become "almost" like that. where everyone can dishout big ass damage with one mistake and win the round.
I'd disagree that there isn't another fighting game character in fighting games that transcended their own series to absolutely dominate other fighting games. In fact, not only did she transcend her own fighting game into another fighting game, she transcended her own orphaned franchise across GENRES into JRPGs. Yes, I'm talking about everyone's favorite friendly neighborhood succubus pinup princess, Morrigan Aensland, who's more known for her presence in Marvel vs. Capcom, especially (Ultimate) Marvel vs. Capcom 3, in which she's widely recognized as among the best characters in the game, if not outright *the* best single character in the game due to her ability to counter the best anchor in the game--Phoenix--with her meter drain. Not only did Morrigan transcend her own orphaned franchise, Darkstalkers, but as a crossover RPG all-star (such as in Cross Edge), Morrigan has also transcended GENRES. In a way, among fighting game characters, I'd argue that she is transcendental in that she herself is far more iconic than her entire original franchise. That takes a special something that I have yet to see any other character match, IMO.
Conceptually, Akuma has everything you want from a fighting game character. Air options, fireballs, always good buttons, always good damage. Akuma always has these features. And all the different applications of the raging demon. I personally love all these visual updates that make him older. Tokido stop playing this annoying Ken shit. Come back to the Hadou.
Looks like a later season of Hi-Score Girl. I don't think the blonde girl (I forget her name) appears in the first season. The original is a manga, and both highlight gaming culture of the time period of around the late '80s to the '90s, based on the author's own experience with that culture (and a ton of help from MIKADO GAMING CENTER capturing footage and doing research for the animation).
@@ShinAkuma and still top 5 strongest in game lmao, I think Tokido just doesn't like to use him as much anymore He is much stronger now than in 5 and around the same level as in 4 relative to other characters
T7 most broken character, what's more broken the demon bro isn't even a legacy character in the T7 wild. Yeah..TMM also did and in-depth analysis on T7 Akuma just recently.
Hi-Score Girl. It was originally a manga, and the entire series is up on Netflix as three seasons, if I'm not mistaken. From what I remember, it's a romantic comedy with a heavy focus on video game culture of the '80s into the '90s. The author drew on their own experience of that culture at the time, and MIKADO GAME CENTER (one of the biggest arcades in Japan and host to a ton of old school cabinets) helped a lot with the anime version, having provided a lot of the game footage you see in the show. The main characters' romance begins with the female lead using Zangief to overcome the male lead's turtling Guile strategy in Street Fighter II: The World Warrior, I kid you not.
Big miss guys. Did not mentioning Atif's TWT win with Akuma and his comeback for team Pakistan in Gamers 8. Gotta make a separate video for this legend.
Should they bring Akuma back into Tekken?

yea if he had meter, as soon as you were -10 you were literally launch punished and wall carried to oblivion. funny times for pro play
I heard that too and did a double take. Ain’t no way you can call a character with a 10f launcher(with meter) subpar
@@Retibra for T7 it was a biiiit much. But look at T8 So many have 10F CH launchers in heat its crazy
Bro was an IRL villain 😭
Iconic at that
His not a villain his just finding a stronger opponent
not a villain...

his oki was disgusting and he has multiple 10-14 frame punishes at the start i believe

Fun Fact, Akuma is still canon in Tekken. In Tekken 8's story recap for Tekken 7(the text part not the recap video), Akuma's name is dropped.
Imagine he came back😭
@benny720p I pray for that every day.

The one thing Akuma proved was Heihachi Mishima is stronger then M.Bison since Heihachi was able to tank the shun Goku setsu witch killed M.Bison.
The two of them got revived with the same voice actor, go figure. 'cept one got his memories back, and the other hasn't... yet.

First of all, shout out to the King Krule tee
in Pakistan, every single Tekken 7 player had a backup Akuma in his pocket, just like they had a pocket backup Dragnov in Tekken 8 before nerfs.
I WISH HE WILL BE BACK SOON IN TEKKEN 8 :)
Akuma means demon in japanese so it is accurate
Only outside Japan his named Akuma but his actual name is Gouki.
@dragontail2k6 both names are still DEMON and I would just accept death instead
Best part in Tekken 7 is that RA was made unblockable
