@Rose.Zero.0 ive gotten slightly better since. Ranked up to shinryu. I came from SF6 as a decent Juri player. Tried Tekken and it's been difficult but it's fun.

As a fellow Kazuya player myself what you can do if you’re being pressured by punches is press F1+2 This is a punch subaki which is a type of reversal and it’s safe on block however if you’re being pressured by other attacks other than punches like shoulders or kicks, you could use his power crush F2 as well
I agree with you on Yoshimitsu. They spam “spin to win”, flash, lows and unblockables too.
People hate Xiaoyu because they don't know the match-up. And she's been here for the last 20 years (Since Tekken 3). Especially in Tekken 8 due to the new Heat update.

also if you've played the older games too i'd be really interested to see how this tier list would look for 7, 6 or tag 2 would be really fun
I play Reina. Mirror matches are the most fun and I learn a lot each time.

I'd say my top 5 is
1. Victor (character literally built for ppl who don't know how to play Tekken.)
2. Steve (all of his attacks look the same so I never know if I'm plus or minus even post-labbing)
3. Xiaoyu (See 5, but her moves actually *are* annoying)
4. Lars (impossible to fight properly online)
5. Azucena (purely because her voice is annoying, her actual moves I have no problem with)
Victor just is so easy lol, you can actually just get away w mashing and it works, Lars is the same, but i like Steve, he is a pretty honest character to me

The rest of the cast at least has to have some kind of brain or awareness of risks in tool kit in order to win

I feel the same way about alot of these choices too. I just dont get mad if I dont know what im losing to. But when I know what they're doing and i just can't beat it, I get mad over time.
The Mishimas are so addicting to play like, even tho they can be pretty hard, something about them just draws me into playing them, and yea i actually today just got into the lab w Bryan lol, i am having so much fun playing him.
This game is weird cause like u can master a hero but that doesnt mean u are gonna win cause u just have to know what the other person is doing, the knowledge checks can be super nuts but its really helpful to know basic frame data which helped me a lot w getting knowledge checked

As a Jack main its hilarious to see this. He's considered one of the weakest characters in the game currently.
He's mostly just knowledge checks. If you learn the matchup it's very rough for Jack to win against better characters.
His flex stance bs mostly loses to ducking. As the only move from it that frame traps you is a high and the others are slow enough to be reactable. Allowing you to hit him out of those moves.

As a Claudio main, Claudio section genuinely threw me off because if you had said that you hated the WR2, B1 or DB1+2, I would've laughed and completely agreed with you because those moves are very annoying, especially at a lower rank. Although the fact that your gripe with Claudio was the fact that his moveset was NOT flashy is insane to me, and somehow boring was insane to me. Maybe it's because I'm used to the character, but I think his incorporation of a mystical element is rather well down for what is meant to be a pretty bare bones fighting game when it comes to moves. And then I found out that you're also an MK player based on your main channel and became even more confused
@@fischure8480 the reason that section was like that, is cause today was the first time I’ve ever fought Claudio, I barely see him, so I only knew like a handful of things, I just don’t like the way he stands or fights, I don’t like his rage art, so aesthetically, I just don’t like Claudio, but that’s why I ranked him so low cause I’ve now fought him twice, and it wasn’t that bad tbh but tbf they were pretty bad players, and do u mean mouse and keyboard or mortal kombat, cause I am NOT an MK (mortal kombat) player lol

As a Kazyua and Yoshi main I h8e fighting against Jin players bc they’re so cocky and always spam d2 even though I main him as my third main Jin sort of gets on my nerves and I get Ki charge by them like every now and then. But either way need to start labbing him more another one I h8e fighting against is Victor they mash sm buttons and 2 they have no skill even though I lab him twice he still annoying to deal with
My top other ones I haven’t lab and h8e going up against is The Bears/Panda, Zafina, Lidia, Steve, Lee and Alisa Lee is the number one character I h8e going up again bc they keep spamming that one string kick
I hate Jim as a old Jim main I gotta say I be losing to him even though I’m so familiar with the matchup but I don’t hate him that much because he really helped me learn the game when I started
As an Emperor Lili, it's generally Hwoarang, Yoshi and Claudio that I hate playing against, mostly for different reasons. Hwoarang just constant hitting buttons and dumb plus frames, Yoshi's evasion and Flash and Claudio has some of the best homing moves, it's super awful when the game plan is stepping. King's Muscle Buster deserves a special mention, I have to totally change what I'm doing if they use it a lot. Feng back Kempo throws off the tracking on df+3+4, so I have to delay the hell out of it. Clive is a weird one. I think I just like the character enough that running 2 and f+1+2 being so finnicky to step doesn't bother me. PHX mix can suck a fat one though.

As soon as you start block punishing some of these characters you won't mind them so much! Like Jin's 1,3,4 and King's alley kicks you have a lot of time to react and block low then twin piston or low parry. Also, King's powercrush they love to use at round start you can 1,1,2. These moves ppl love to use all the time around fujin and below so learning to punish them will take u far. gl

Most of the characters your dying are probably knowledge checking you .
Nina requires labbing shes very strong, id advise for characters were nothing at all makes sense either watch character guides on them or spend a few days playing them in casual it helps alot in terms of learning what can be punished.
As a casual which has more or less your skill level (you seem slightly stronger), I agree with most of this tierlist, maybe I'd put Jun and King a bit higher.

Interesting list xb if red is your highest rank than yeah at that point people kinda get there by spamming the most abusable things their character has... peak tekken some might call it xb also regarding lidia, if you block any move that puts her into stance, you can cancel whatever shes gonna do next with a jab or preferebly a down jab.. so the mixup isnt as brainded as it looks but they do get away with stuff because people dont know, but when they do you have to force them to respect you and its really tough

As a Reina main I can fw this list. I think Reina could be a bit higher because she can have really brain dead offense with ff2 into either sentai 3 or 4 and keeping the opponent in lock down with all the plus frames and loop the offense repeatedly with passive players. It has counter play for sure especially when you're aware you can knock Reina out of sentai 4, but ive managed to steal a lot of matches with that. She also has a bunch of weird niche things that if you pull out people will be caught off guard with. very fun character to play as and i like Reina mirror matches, but I think she can be realllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy annoying for a lot of people and she can be pretty brain dead. (She also has a million ways of getting into sentai outside of ff2 including her basic 112 string, or df1 forward.)
it really depends for me, i do find myself getting irritated more w reina, she is super oppressive sometimes and i feel like im not allowed to press unless i make the right read. and yes her ff shit drives me INSANE lol

You said you think EWGF is the hardest tech in the game and you didn’t mention Taunt when talking about Bryan. Do you know what it is/does, and if so; what is your thoughts on it. I don’t imagine you’ve seen a lot in your ranks, tbf
@@RetroWrathX13B not tech, just the hardest mechanic in the game is an electric and the PEWGF as well, I have been on a Bryan phase the last 3 days and I will say, using the taunt shit is def hard, taunt slither step cancel into side step is a lotta fun, he’s def a hard character

You are part of what fuels the growing toxicity in the TEKKEN community. Everywhere we turn, we see "Top 10 most annoying characters" "Top 10 broken moves," "Ranking the most cancer characters."
Every content outside the key content creators talk about how broken or how unjustified something is. Do you know what this means for someone who wants to pick up TEKKEN? They see a frustrating game to play. Now when someone loses, they won't blame themselves for lack of skill, but on the opponent's 'toxic' character and one of the broken moves they relied on. If someone wins, they can't fully celebrate because they would be told they relied on a 'toxic character or a 'cancer move.'
Does TEKKEN have problems, yes but I can't help but see a trend of all this negativity.
How about you reinvigourate how you name videos? "Tricky moves to deal with."
Or you can celebrate other things that make TEKKEN a great game. The sky is the limit. You can talk about character design, gameplan, outfits, animations. stage, stage music and so on.
I challenge you to be a bit creative and help put a stop to the Doomer Tekken content.
Sometimes, I feel like I'm the only one having fun with this game. I often encounter tough matchups where I lack the knowledge and tools to fight my opponent, so I lose-and that's okay. I can't be mad; I just don't know what to do yet.
However, people treat the game like their ego is on the line with every match, even at low ranks. Tekken is a challenging, knowledge-based hobby and should be approached as such.
If you're a casual player, I highly recommend playing with friends-that's where Tekken truly shines. The Fun part can only come from you and not the game.

I mean I feel you didn’t grasp the concept of the video lol, this was a rant video as I hve been addicted and love this game, not once did I bash the game itself, playing a pvp game no matter how chill or relaxed or laid back you are, eventually it’s gonna build up yk, ur gonna start to form opinions and start to dislike things and like things as that’s how humans work lol, the more you experience something, the stronger of an opinion ur gonna have, although I do say some ppl are carried by their character choice and I think certain characters are scrubby, I never once blame someone for their character choice, I always say and have always said, it’s my fault or why did I do that, hence why I have Bryan so low, reddits most hated char, I preface its on you, it’s your fault and not blaming that character, again i say some ppl are carried by their char but that doesn’t take away from the persons skill or my lack of knowledge, some chars are just gonna be better, some guns in CoD are just gonna be better, SF6 some chars are just gonna be better, it’s up to you to figure out how to avoid those things and run counter plays to the meta, it’s not unhealthy to talk and complain about the meta, ur a sheep if you sit their and just let things run by without voicing ur opinion, as this video was purely opinionated and also light hearted, I had fun with it and voiced my opinion and I adore the game and praised it at the beginning, so I’m not sure why you sound so upset that someone voiced their opinion on a game that’s so complex and that was praised when that’s how pvp games work, now I do have 3 scripts written for videos like “changes I’d like to see in tekken” “why are the mishimas so addicting to new players” . Damm you really dont like Claudio 😢 i disagree i think his moveset and animations look really cool other than the knee kicks. Have a look at while running 1+2, his sparici wallsplat and the projectile arrow. I think they are some of the coolest animations in the game. Also his rage art has nice visuals. I dont get how you think he isnt flashy

Really ? You don't why Azu is hated ? Are you Deaf ? When I play my Friend who mains Azu in a 1st to 10 - I have to Turn the Voice Volume to Zero before we start. Her Character Design is Soooo Bad and Annoying imo. Her Moveset is fine it's just her "Character" I hate. 😂
As a Yoshi main i can see how he is annoying to fight. But he is a party style fighter and has very mid strings. I basically know all his moves but fighting in my current rank (Rajin) id say most players can block or counter the majority of his moves. There is maybe 10 moves that might land and the rest needs crazy creativity. He isnt easy to learn and isnt a mashing character so i think you are too harsh with the rating. Lars is waaaaay more scrub than any Yoshi. And eff Devil Jin. More so the players than the character. But i agree, Lili and Nina are brutal to fight. I seem to do better when i play with Bryan (my second) against them due his faster strikes and counters.

Most bears and yoshis dont play just for the rank, i understand your frustration with dealing with move x y or z of these characters but in that frustration youve forgotten the reason you and 90% of all tekken players bought the game for in the first place

The most annoying characters are the ones I haven't labbed - Asuka, Jack, Raven, Claudio, Zafina etc However, some chars are at a different level of annoying, even after labbing, like Alisa - easy access to damage and busted moves, really don't need to think too hard using her.
I find Drag and Clive less annoying because of the amount of times I've played them, Drag is like Ken in Street Fighter 6, strong, but at least you know what he does. Clive's moves are clear if they are low, mid, high and he's punishable after most of his strings, his f1+2 is busted, can't step it, tracks like crazy, just have to block. His power crush is punishable by Steve's sonic fang so I usually hope they use it, but I could see it having no counter play for maybe other chars.
I'm an Azu main with Steve as secondary, I also like Drag and Feng. I've played half the cast to Garyu to get an understanding of the chars.

As a Devil Jin main, I can see why. He can be played yolo with b3, fly 2, db2 follow and his heat smash. But all of that is extremely unsafe, make them do the first move, block/sidestep, launch, repeat.
