Thanks guy! The change for me wasn't subtle at all. Dua Lipa's Levitating was playing while I turned off Normalized then Atmos and OMG... Music paused then just exploded across the dash. Soundstage, detail, Dynamics all just came rushing at me! Good find man.
Sounds like being at a concert for the first time haha. Happy to help!
@@esthetechthe crazy thing is it's not even a fancy car... It's a Ford Transit work van with tools, ladders, parts bins etc rattling in the back and still sounds amazing! Can't even imagine what it's like in a Lexus or something like that
Thank you! I was having sound issues with AA and my Kia Sorento. Your video saved me! The Normalize volume setting had the biggest impact for me and the other 2 provide some small enhancements. After reading countless posts, I am grateful for your video.
Very happy to hear this. You’re most welcome and thank you for letting me know it helped.
I was about to buy a new phone cause I couldn't anymore. Glad I found this video. Thanks!
Yes, omg! I was going crazy because on roadtrips my friends' iPhones sounded sooo much better. I am glad I found this video before buying a damned iPhone 15
I cannot seem to find a result to eliminate streaming skip + volume up n down due to Left n Right sound balance changing without any human intervention....
Ive honestly tried everything I've read on internet and i just cannot stop it.... Galaxy N20U 5g is my hand set and my car infotainment system is factory Nissan with a nifty city Nissan 370z Android Auto + Apple car play upgrade.... For the love of God i cannot get it to work without glitching terribly and if that's not annoying enough the sound goes from left to right by itself...
Any help would be appreciated greatly to resolve this traumatizing experience of skipping in car music streaming
It really worked for me. Definitely much much better now! Thanks.
I'm using Zenfone 9 so I don't have the dolby atmos but generally the other settings do work. So much more details in the music now.
Great to hear. It’s such a helpless feeling when the car stereo doesn’t sound very clear. We can’t replace our cars just for that, and a third-party system just costs too much. Thankfully there are solutions.
I was and to fix the audio quality issue. Go to Settings-> Dolby Atmos -> Equalizer-> Change to Normal
True but there's not much bass/clarity
Thanks, will try these in my mg hector plus, having muffled sound issues.
Dude you changed my life. That Dolby thing fixed my sound after trying so many different things for years🙈
Haha happy to help. Though I’m sorry it took so long to fix. If it makes you feel any better I was pulling my hair out troubleshooting these issues for a while myself.
What about youtube music? Any recommendations?
I have found that I can't adjust my cars stereo when connected to android auto
Android auto has its own equalizer hidden on the screen before you open jt
I have an s22 but I cannot find a normalized sound setting. I did turn sound quality to high.
Jus buy Tidal now, it will sound loads better!
thanks for the tip!.
In my case I had the Spotify equalizer activated and it really sounded very bad, I did what you recommended and also deactivated it
You’re welcome, happy to help.
Hi guys. I've buy a new car and want to know the best option to have the better sound quality possible. Passing via AA wireless or using a USB key ? I have an Amazon account with HD quality (flac from 16 to 24 bits). I'm affraid that AA has a bad BT codec and compress sound too much. Thanks
I did a bunch of testing with Bluetooth mode vs android auto with normalize volume on and off and for me with the music i listen to with high bass it sounds far better in both modes with normalize volume on. Having it off makes the sound level overkill on some songs and the overall quality doest sound worse with it off atleast for me but everyone has different phones, settings, head units, and music preferences
Very interesting. Thanks for sharing your findings. Maybe it would help to share which car you’re driving? Or perhaps which head unit/system you have installed?
I always turn all the gimmick stuff off with every sound source I've ever had (car, boat, home stereo, home theater, etc). The most useless is that stupid Loudness button that many radios used to have. All that did was increase certain frequencies. I can do that on the equalizer to my own liking.
💯
Gonna try this out.
Man this video is a gem. Thank you
Genuinely happy to help. Not being able to enjoy music in the car was a serious bummer.
I have a 2011 Honda Accord EX-L and I recently bought one of those Android CarPlay kits specifically for the Honda Accords. My friend and I set it up but we noticed the audio quality was bad, especially when there was a lot of bass. I tried turning off CarPlay and installing Spotify on the screen's system and the audio sounded much better than it did when I was using Spotify on CarPlay. How do I fix this?
Also i see other people saying the bluetooth connection is better than the carplay, and its the same for me. The issue is, i cant just stop using carplay and use my Pavelou bluetooth adapter becuase it makes a loud screeching noise whenever I have it plugged in at the same time as the Carplay unit
Though I’m not as familiar with CarPlay, I would imagine it’s the same general steps. You want to use Spotify via CarPlay, correct? Start by opening Spotify on your iPhone, tap on the little thumbnail circle of your account on the top left, tap Settings and Privacy, go to Playback and make sure “Enable Audio Normalization” is toggled OFF. Next, go back into settings and scroll down to Audio Quality. Make sure “Very High” is selected for everything there.
These two adjustments should make a very noticeable difference the next time you use Spotify through CarPlay.
Andriod auto has been sht on past 3 cars now. So is it really the phone or car. I think it is the andriod auto app itself. They know the issue they wont sort it. Music sounds like sht when using it. Have tried youtube music, spotify etc all the same. Just using bluetooth audio the sound is fine
Anyone know why apple car play sounds louder than android auto?
I'm glad it's not just happening to me
@bigrk.a.n.p4010 gotta be something to do with how dated android auto is.
I have a s24u too, so it's not the phone. But it's some fucking annoying.
@matthewr.33 I have an S24 Ultra as well, I thought it might have been because I was using apple music on an Android.
Android auto uses Bluetooth even though you have a wire where apple music plays the sound directly from the phone through the wire. If you use wireless apple car play or android auto they sound the same
Amazing! This worked immediately 🎉🎉🎉
Very happy to hear it!
Does anybody know how to play music on a different bluetooth audio device? (Not android Auto Device)
If I’m understanding you correctly, you should be able to just pair a bluetooth audio device the same way you would a phone. That process is a bit different in each car, but it should be the same whether it’s a phone or an MP3 player for example.
Thank You very much for the video...!
I use an app called Bluetooth codec changer
It depends on your head unit Bluetooth codec bro..is it sbc or aptx..
Bro flexing with his mark levinson :P
Do you have flat bass still though?
The base actually improved for me with these changes. Dumb question from me, but have you tried messing with the bass settings on your car's stereo system?
Bass is still bad even when u adjust the car settings, with apple car play it sounds better as android auto, good when you have two phones 😂
These tips definitely helped but the audio is noticably better on Bluetooth compared to Android auto. This kinda blows lol
Plenty of folks saying the same thing as you. While some others say the audio quality is the same between AA and Bluetooth. Not sure if the discrepancy is between the car audio systems themselves or what, but Google needs to get their ish together.
@@esthetech When I listen to music with bluetooth in my car the bass is just so much more stronger compared to when I use android auto. Still haven't found a fix for this
@@DePaii7same for me with Apple Carplay. Have you found a fix yet?
Dude, if you want better sound quality just use the CD player that came with your Lexus. CD's are way more consistent when it comes to audio quality. Plus, if you get a scratch on them you get a free permanent remix of the songs you like.😂
I’d much rather be living in an endless loop of 80s through early 2000s, CDs included lol.
literally none of this has to do with android auto
Literally *all* of it is delivered via and affected by Android Auto. Literally *all* of it can “fix/improve Android Auto audio quality,” which is literally the title of the video.
these work
My car actually sounds better with dolby on 😅
That does happen sometimes. I had a previous car like that. No idea how there’s such a vast discrepancy in how car stereos react to these equalizers.
Thats cuz your car sucks why you can't use Dolby atmos ... I got a huge end sound system and 3 different equalizers i promise I don't need a UA-cam video I thought I could get any good tip but since your actually giving bad advice like turn off Dolby then your doing something counter productive
😂😂 It’s past your bedtime kid, you can listen to your muffled bass again tomorrow.
Spotify and quality? 😂
