I would definitely be the guy that goes to Chick-fil-A for a chicken sandwich and then McDonald's for some hot/fresh fries! 😂😂 But anyway, great content.
It's absolutely moronic that AA will not let you put any background from your gallery as its background. The foundational idea behind Android is customization... And as far as AA is concerned, they NEED to work on their customization a lot. It works better than Carplay, but Carplay looks ten thousand times better.
Carplay only works a thousand times better now because Android auto is kind of pointless on Android phones so long as you have any kind of infotainment screen that can truly screen share your Android device it will screen share whatever your phone is currently doing and Android phones have the ability on their own to just split the screen show all an Android User needs to do essentially is bring up maps on one side of their phone and their music app of choice on the other side of their phone and then screen share this to their infotainment screen and you basically are using Android auto without using Android auto. I am not shiting on Apple iPhone users at all it's just that Android phones can do pretty much what Android auto does now to the point where it's kind of rendered it obsolete plus there are many apps you would rather use that Android auto and car play just don't let you use because of its safety features I guess which just tends to have people go back to using their phones anyway. Apple on the other hand is still firmly for apple carplay and it cannot do the same features that an Android phone does thus it needs to look a lot better and have a little more customization as it needs to compete with a phone that no longer needs the app that it is still using
It should have an option to disable the call option for privacy if they took message privacy into consideration. I love using it but the call function is a hassle.
🤔 You must have missed the 1:30 mark. Obviously the layout of Spotify’s settings have changed since making this video but pretty sure people can figure out they need to hit Playback since that’s where the Normalize Volume setting is in this video too.
Howsit. I have a Motorola MA1. Works great. However, everytime I start my car a screen pops up saying 'select technology' with 2 options, android auto and mirror link (I don't even have mirror link on phone, s20, and I can't disable 'show mirror link info' on phone (it's greyed out). After manually selecting AA on car infotainment screen, I have to manually select 'allow data transfer'. So that's 2 clicks on car infotainment to actually get AA working. Is this normal? Is this the same user experience that one would get on wired connection? Is there anyway to. Automate those 2 steps? Car is 2021 vw tiguan. Thanks (ps, I've tried everything, been deep into phone developer options etc and many forums but can't find anything. Cheers
Just in case you haven't figured this out yet, it's caused by the VW, not AA. I recently rented a VW, and it had those prompts. I've used it with 6 other manufacturers (Kia, GMC, Jeep, Mitsubishi, Mercedes, and on a cheap 3rd party aftermarket AA compatible radio), and never saw that anywhere except the VW. I don't know if the VW has a setting for that, I didn't go digging around because it was a rental and I didn't care that much for the week.
@@thahim1If you have phone buttons on the wheel then it's the "talk" button, it usually has a side view of a head with waves coming out of the mouth. In my car (Kia), I just tap the button and it activates. In my wife's car (GMC), just tapping it starts the car's system instead of AA, so there I have to hold the button for a couple seconds.
"Better experience", was that what you said - with a flickering experience in the background. That's a down vote from me

Thanks! Didn't know you could do it wirelessly. I bought a cheap adapter for 29 on amazon and I got up and it works great.
Thanks you too , can you give me the name for that adaptor... I really need one 😅😅

Android Auto has a feature to use whatever background you have on your phone as the wallpaper...

Thanks for tips! I also want to add to get best sound, set your equalizer to balance.
This was pretty helpful! Thanks :)
You’re welcome, glad it helped!
man, 9 minutes of a flickering screen is gonna give someone a seizure
It doesn't bother, me it doesn't bother me, it doesn't bother me, it doesn't bother me 😅😅
My Spotify has been sounding kinda trash. I'm going to try toggling off those settings. Thanks.
Curious how it goes for you. I’m working on another video with one more tip regarding that. Good luck.
@@esthetech I tried it and it actually does sound better.
@@anrego Great! Every little bit helps when you want your stereo sounding right.
I found using the software volume about 50 60% and using the car volume works. Software volume high = yuk

Two edits when looking for that normalized volume.. Great time to cut the video.
Don't even need to hit a button to activate commands. Just say, OK Google or Hey Google, then ask what you want.

The manufacturer icon is an exit button that goes back to your vehicle radio layout. You only see it on your vehicle interface.
