    My issue with the Diva Cup was something you mentioned as a pro - the rigid base. I was virtually impossible for me to remove it. I ended up switching to a Luna Cup which is less rigid. Thanks for making these videos!

    My first cup was the MeLuna-- specifically, the MeLuna Shorty medium. I bought a Diva after that just to compare, and MeLuna shorty was perfect for me-- the Diva was wayyy to long for me. Even my gynecologist says I have an unusually short cervix. The diva is just way too long for me.

    THANK YOU for the tip about turning the Diva Cup inside out! I just happened to get my period one day after watching this and there's no leaking! I am super late to this conversation but the same happened to me. I was 20 years old and had no kids when I bought model 1 and I just couldn't get it in. Then I tried model 0 which is supposed to be for young girls and it got in and works. They really need to do better classification of which size is best.
      Using age, and pregnancy as the sole determinants of size is inappropriate.

      A'shaela Sounds a bit gross, but I find that the best removal method is to take a deep breath (to relax your body) and do the “poop flex.” Just bear down (like you’re having a bm) for a second as you remove it. Works like a charm! Best of luck, girl!

      Put A Cup In It well this is only the second cup I've ever tried. The first one I bought was one I saw advertised on FB. It piqued my curiosity and I was like "yeah! I wanna try putting this in my vagina!" lol 😂 the brand is Aneer, SUPER soft!! My muscles completely squish it, but it doesn't leak. When I saw fun factory made a cup I was like 😲... Got to have it! I know how high quality the toys are. I got the A size and I don't have any issues with it opening. I don't feel a "pop" but I'm pretty sure it's open. Are you using the A or B? From the videos I've watched the B is much softer than the A Cup.

    I've used the diva cup for about 2 years now with no problem (once i figured out the learning curve). But im realizing that it hurts when im taking it out.. Can't figure out how to remove the pressure of the seal correctly, i feel like its pulling at my insides. I don't know if i should change technique or change cup? can you help me out? Thanks

    • @rebekahbrielle
      @rebekahbrielle 4 роки тому +1

      This is four months late but first try changing your technique. Make sure you pinch the base of the cup to break the suction that it creates. Once that seal is broken it should not feel like you are pulling your insides out (ouch!). If pinching the base doesn't work, you can also try pinching a little higher up on the cup to see if that does the trick. One more trick, if you feel comfortable, insert your finger up inside your vagina along the side of the cup and press gently to help break the suction. Then from there carefully remove. Hopefully this helps you! If all else fails, try another brand of cup :)

    Hi I'm new to this I started last 3 cycles with Saalt PKG. That has both sizes. Now I tried the regular & I had leakage & it was practically lost inside me? I'm over 40 had 2 C-Sections with very heavy flow 2nd day & the large one is just hard to put in? So I'm waiting for Diva cup#1 bc I'm wondering if it means that my cervix is long since the ssalt cup both were so high in? Could a cup go up & above a cervix?

    The first day of my period my diva cup rides a little low. I can almost feel it when I think about it. Every other day of my period I have to bear down with my muscles to be able to reach it. I thinking of switching to a lily cup for my higher days, and using be diva cup for my lower days. The only think worried about the lily cup, is I’m worried that since it’s softer I’ll have issues adjusting to it.

    Hmm, I was thinking about a new cup for variety and because I HATE how badly it stains (makes it hard to show off as I try to convert every menstruating female I know) but seems your con is a pro for me; on my low cervix days it's fine and on high days I have to go hunting for it. Cervix height = really important to cup choice.

    • @PutACupInIt
      @PutACupInIt  6 років тому

      Of course it's going to depend on your cervix height. We recommend Diva to lots of people but only those who know their cervix is a bit higher than average. otherwise it is too long.

  • @Bailster

    Can I ask a TMI question? I know it’s best to measure your cervix when you’re on your period so you know. BUT.....do you have to measure your cervix throughout your cycle (and EACH cycle) to keep track of where it’s at? I’m typically high. But sometimes it surprises me....
    I can’t usually tell unless something weird happens with my cup - but I also don’t want the mission of having to check super frequently so I know what cup to use/replace (I have 3 that I alternate with).
    Is there an easier way to know or feel the pattern of your cervix so you can just auto-adjust throughout your cycle? Or is it simply necessary to keep checking?
    Probably a weird question and not sure I asked it in a way that makes sense, but any insight would be lovely!!!

    • @Bailster
      @Bailster 4 роки тому

      Jerrika Funny you should ask! I’ve been using the DOT & SAALT Soft which I LOVE in terms of “insertion” & comfort!
      But after I posted this, my research remained intense and I kept hearing people SWEAR by Lunette.....
      So, I gave it a try. Obviously even though I’ve never been pregnant....I am 36 and as mentioned - have a high cervix TYPICALLY - so went with the large...
      GIRLS. If ANYONE is facing the same issue as me - LUNETTE is your girl!!!! I realize cups fit everyone differently - so totally respect that!
      My budget is tight myself - but I spent the same monthly on tampons & pads that ONE cup would cost - so for me, especially now that I have a few to switch between now - trying out a few to learn what works is key.
      For me - YES - Lunette is absolutely my GOLDILOCKS cup for sure!!! HIGHLY recommend!!!!!!! My new cup obsession and interest still has me interested to try out a few more - but I’m not sure I will just yet because truly.....Lunette has absolutely been what I reach for!
      Everything is perfect with Lunette (for me). Inserts great, pops open super easy and stays. Long enough yet not too wide that it both sits great and is totally comfortable. It’s also been INSANELY easy to remove (with the good standby “push” and tease method). For having a high cervix (and low sometimes), this seems to work ALWAYS and is easy and reliable in every way!
      Thanks for the recommendation. And yes, I’ve tried it - clearly. LOL. It’s definitely the way to go!
      Bah could be much improved - but that’s an easy switch. ☺️

    • @PutACupInIt

      Only if your cervix is short/low. Otherwise it's totally fine to use as long as it fits inside. Trimming the stem or flipping inside out may help with any discomfort.

    I'm not new to periods but, having an IUD for 8 years, I'm new to cups. My first and only cup is a Diva, and even though I'm over 30 and have 4 kids, I went ahead and got the smallest size and it's STILL too long for me. I cut the stem and it's still literally hanging out of my body. I was really disappointed that cups apparently weren't going to work for me, but it's encouraging to find out this brand just has a longer design. Any suggestions for a low cervix/short canal that I might look into?

    • @PutACupInIt
      @PutACupInIt  5 років тому

      Have a look at our video about measuring your cervix and then check out our chart to sort by length and use what you know about the length of the Diva Cup (like how much you feel like it pokes out, if it fits fine otherwise and doesn't leak the diameter is probably fine, etc.) putacupinit.com/chart
