They are not that rare. There's nearly 14,000 on the DVLA database, and the majority are mark 2 😅
The trouble is very few are on the road, 11,300 😱
A lot more will be scrapped in the next 5 - 10 years, many will be in better condition.
That said, I'm not saying this one shouldn't be saved 👍

Hard to kill those "Pinto" style engines. My little Ranger is still going strong! Never had a single issue since it was brand-new 24 years ago. People knock on the Pinto's. It wasn't the engine that was junk. It was the transmission, and the rest of the car that was. Without said, the fit and finish on those are still better than most of the cars being built today XD

Didn't know Sierra is a RWD. For me it was a bigger Escort, nothing more. Living and learning!

yes and it's the reason the Escort Cosworth uses the Sierra platform, because the Mondeo changed to FWD

There's something so fascinating about seeing these old beasts resurrected. It's sad that this was one someone's pride and joy, then it was just left to rot.

Hello. You brought back another childhood memory for me. I have a ford sierra, a small toy car with sports paint. I liked it very much, I played with it but I didn't know what it was, only when I was 18 I remembered and discovered it. I really like this car in red too. It's great that you improved his varnish a bit with polishing. This is where my love for cars started. Are you going to fix it or sell it? I think it deserves a repair and a long life. As you can see in the video, I'm eager to drive and drift, you crazy people :D Such cars are also modified and drive with more power or as classics. Thank you for the video.

Thanks! Not sure what to do with it. We are getting car tax (abandoned cars are included) soon so we have to sell some cars.

Nice video! Judging by the rear brakes, this car has limited slip differential. Also distributor cap is not from IS engine, this would explain swapped ECU
