They are not that rare. There's nearly 14,000 on the DVLA database, and the majority are mark 2 😅 The trouble is very few are on the road, 11,300 😱 A lot more will be scrapped in the next 5 - 10 years, many will be in better condition. That said, I'm not saying this one shouldn't be saved 👍

Still pushing hard the 2.0 i EFI! Great video with one of my favorite cars from the 80s. This car should be from 87 or 88. And the 2.0 injection should be the one with 115 horsepower. It is not clear why the previous owner preferred to install an external tachometer by drilling holes in the dashboard, instead of repairing the original one. Thanks for the video!
You came up on my suggested because UA-cam guessed I needed to see a Ford Sierra being resurrected. Honestly blown away. I used to watch a relative of mine tinker with cars when I was a little girl, this just brought back so many happy memories for me. Thank you and thank you for giving this old car a chance.
Great rescue - The Sierra was a great car - a buddy of mine had one of the last ones a 93 2.0 Sapphire and had it for years - should have held on to her as she is now vintage ! Rot got a lot of them and any survivors are crazy prices ! Well done great video @
It's nice to see how at first, it didn't really want to run, made noises, cough etc. and after some warming up it really started to get into its old form again :) Very satisfying
My uncle had one of these in red, coupe version. It was the first ever car i've driven, if you count steering, when i was 5 yrs old. I have it here in my heart forever..
This brings back memories of my dad's red Sierra from when I was little lad. I used to call it haunted because it had some electrical issue and whenever you would steer to the right e.g going round a roundabout it would trigger the central locking and lock the doors and turn on the interior cabin lights too! 😂 Thanks for the vid! You gotta get this thing looking new again. It deserves it, awesome car!
Great episode! Quite a late year to see the Pinto. I had an ‘80 Transit with the same engine! And we had a red Sierra with black anti-chip paint below the rubbing strip to hide the rust :)

@@Flexiny i am from south africa member of the south african police... When i was in police training the instructors used to fool around with the xr8 at night keep us awake... I dont know if it was in Africa only... But that car was a beast... Eventually the instructors tails were cut short the vehicle was taken away after 2 months😂😂👍👍

Awesome car. The sierra's are one of my favorite classics, I prefer the older ones with the square headlights but these ones are just as cool. The suspension looks knackered. Its a nice little runner, body work looks solid with the suspension fixed , a stereo with new door speakers and the tail lights fixed, new ford badge and side mirror it would be perfect. Its a shame about the dents but could just add to its character.
Flexiny can I ask what happens to all these cars you rescue it would be great if you did an episode of 'where are they now' I've owned many sierras escorts vectras and cavaliers over the years I certainly take a trip from overseas to Estonia to visit the 'auto museum of flexiny' keep up the good work 👍

Wish we had these in the US. I used to have an ‘87 Ford Tempo sedan. Was light blue with a navy blue interior. Sold it around 8 years later for more more than I bought it for. It’s still on the road, but someone hit the current owner in a parking lot when he was gone, so there is some cosmetic damage on a front corner.
Wow don't see many of these around anymore that engine sound takes me back and all the fun of the rear wheel drive, they used to be everywhere relatives and friends had them.

Hard to kill those "Pinto" style engines. My little Ranger is still going strong! Never had a single issue since it was brand-new 24 years ago. People knock on the Pinto's. It wasn't the engine that was junk. It was the transmission, and the rest of the car that was. Without said, the fit and finish on those are still better than most of the cars being built today XD
There's something so fascinating about seeing these old beasts resurrected. It's sad that this was one someone's pride and joy, then it was just left to rot.

I liked it very much, I played with it but I didn't know what it was, only when I was 18 I remembered and discovered it. I really like this car in red too. It's great that you improved his varnish a bit with polishing. This is where my love for cars started. Are you going to fix it or sell it? I think it deserves a repair and a long life. As you can see in the video, I'm eager to drive and drift, you crazy people :D Such cars are also modified and drive with more power or as classics. Thank you for the video.
Nice video! Judging by the rear brakes, this car has limited slip differential. Also distributor cap is not from IS engine, this would explain swapped ECU

Mine was fit for scrap with big holes in sills and boot floor at only 7 years old, couldn't believe how bad the rust was!
I am the owner of 2 Sierra, a turbo diesel station wagon and a Cosworth and these are cars that deserve to be saved as great cars. Nice jobs!!!

@@user-xh5kx4mi1h спринтера часто можно увидеть с гнильцой, иногда вообще гнилые. Катафорез, оцинковка, похоже вообще нихера у них нет, как газель.

It's easier to put a new tacho than to repair the dashboard or the wiring to the dashboard. I know, its weird.

Der are 8V and 16V Versions of the 2.0i. The 8V have a lot less hp

As an American, I love seeing all the Euro-spec quirky cars you guys have there over in Europe.
