- I know this is different than my normal content but I liked researching about the feeling you get from looking at these pictures that feel strangely familiar but are uncomfortable and nostalgic and the oddly familiar music that comes with it.

they're sad but, comforting and scary. idk i love the faint adrenaline of feeling scared and alone but warm and safe? idk that's how i feel about it

They've all got the same kind of camera quality as well, very early 2000s and late 90s so I guess that also plays on with the nostalgia for most of us
for me personally only the places with architecture from the 90's and 2000's awake this feeling in me
It’s weird cuz even if it looks like it’s from the early-mid 1900s, I get nostalgic even when I wasn’t around.

Some of these images do nothing for me, like the weird golf one and the camper. But others make my eyes go all wide. These places seem so familiar to me not because I think I’ve been there in real life, but because these places could be places i’ve been in dreams - empty, dull, slightly unsettling constructs of the subconscious mind to be filled by the storyboard of a dream.
At 1:00 this hall/stairway is so terrifying because
1. There's nobody there
2. It's really dark
3. It so familiar it looks like a room I would be scared of as a child
Daaaamn that place reminds me of the L4D2 map where you are in that big mall and have to fuel the car to escape!
4. The fact that someone took that picture
I was born in 2004 and basically grew up
In the 2000’s so the reason why they feel so nostalgic and so familiar is because most of these pictures were in the 2000’s and late 90’s so we’ve seen familiar places which is why these feel so similar or so familiar (ofc if you grew up in early 2000’s and maybe late 2000’s too)

I can relate to most of them very strongly probably because of the prominence of American media in pop culture, but I made one on my country (ua-cam.com/video/0QG9hJ3Z02Q/v-deo.html) and it really has that extra something, so yea. Taco Bell doesn't really do it for me lol.

I also don't live in the u.s.a but I think that some pictures do look familiar because some of them look like a hospital I used to be alot when I was younger

Actually I could place where the music is from in every one it these videos. They usually use goodbye to a world slowed, music yume Nikki/Nikki fangames, music from silent hill, the mother/earthbound series, vaporwave(some even use fuckin Macintosh plus), etc.

the old windows background (the one with the hills) always gives me this sense. i feel like a was there, laying there with soft, silky grass against my arms. i always thought i remembered laying there looking at the beautiful setting with no one around. it just made me feel comforted. now it makes me confused how it happened
edit: the music and looking at specific pictures make me have a very stron felling of this and i feel like there is no reality until i realize im living it

it reminds me of my grandpas old house in this opening door part with a plant next to it gives me that vibe and the back is dark. I also felt like i experienced a empty pool place that was huge but empty.

Without animals disappearing I wouldn't go crazy because I would see birds dogs cats and other but with the animals aswell I would go crazy
These pictures make me feel a whole mix of emotions, and when I heard the song “Goodbye to a world” I teared up. I miss behind a kid, and being genuinely happy.
A few of these I actually think I've seen in dreams and that makes it a crap ton weirder

1:52 I was there for sure. I was on a trip to America there was a HUGE line and this couple was late for their flight and was asking everyone in line if they could cut them. The booth is where we got our foreign money and our passports checked. I know it . I was 100% there.

It's litterally just pictures of of very common types of places but with a bunch of stuff removed so that it's even more universally recognisable. Everyone's been to a mall everyone knows what one looks like but they are all slightly different, unless you remove all the shops and and items in it then its just a bare mall it's exactly the same as all the others.

There always kind of like these arcade looking places or a hospital sort of setting or like a food court looking place. Empty as all get out. Its super insane. Also for somereason its always dark out when i look out of the windows of the place...its so strange...
