Nice to see you pushing into PVE more, really cool video and nice to see an analysis of your own gameplay talking about what's happening on screen, very cool.
I love how a good chunk of people said that strand is hella mid but then you find a build with the fragments and exotics and now it’s like one of the most fun subclasses
Probably because a lot of people's first experience with strand was being forced to use a watered down version during the legendary campaign completely nerfing everyone's builds. That shit sucked ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Guys, giving you a lifehack so you don't have to wait until your power level is high enough to get the new exotics, the next time right before a new season or an expansion, you must do this: fill up your engram slots and complete the current lost sector to get a couple of exotics, they will stay in your post master. When the season launches just check what type of armor the current lost sector gives. Then just open your engram when the armor type matches the newest exotic and you will get it automatically. I did it on my hunter and I got both exotics pretty much the same day without playing lost sectors.
This is a terrible way to level up, the star horse packs from Xur give power drops and are way better to farm as they dont rely on RNG. Also, after this season bungie stated that there will be no power grind until next expansion
@@GarciaLuis95 this is not a way to level up,.this is a way to get a guaranted exotic. You see, when it goes to postmaster, and it will give you any exotic type depending on the day. For example: I got one exotic from a legend lost sector which would give me a chest price, but since I didn't have space in my inventory, it got sent to the post master. I did it on my hunter to see if it actually works, but I main Warlock. Then, when I completed the campaign on my hunter, I knew that the lost sector at the day is helmet, it was yesterday. Then the campaign gave me a choice between 2 exotics, so I chose the new Dragon Shadow like legs, but a second after I just went to the postmaster and opened the exotic engram I saved in the previous season and got the new grapple helmet on hunter guaranted without playing lost sectors in Lightfall even though the day I got this engram was a chest drop. It's not RNG, it's a glitch, or a game mechanic, I don't know. This technique works as well if you farm lost sectors generally and you get an easy one, but you don't like the armor type it gives. So you can get a few into the postmaster, and wait until it's the armor type you want.
@@GarciaLuis95 Sorry, I realized it was bad wording. I meant that you don't need to wait until your power level is high enough to do the lost sectors to get the new exotic.
Such an awesome gun. Cant wait until it's no longer exclusive to the most expensive version of the expansion. Bought the base edition, super sad it's locked behind the deluxe still.
@@riothegod1831 next expansion i would say not next season. They said the same for ostio striga and they didn't give that away until like a week ago for a few days before it wasn't free.
big question, wouldnt thread of mind be better than trhead of injury? u need to dodge to activate bomber, then, if u use it while on air targets get suspended, bonus right? but then e thread of mind u can get your class ability faster, so u can spam it again and by consequence u can win more grapples activating bomber?
Does this sort of build work in legend content or even master? Just wonder if the grapple melee damage isn’t high enough or if your aren’t tanky enough with woven in high end content.
You better off with assassin's cowl since it makes you heal and go invisible on ability melee kills and finishers which you 100% will need for GMs since cqc builds are unsafe
Woven mail is tanky enough to survive in harder content when paired with sever but overall i'd reccomend using cowl if your not used to the build since it requires you to be VERY aware of your woven mail uptime and grapple cooldowns where cowl is a lot more forgiving
Did the same thing haha really not enjoying strand without the fragments so I’m okay without the helmet, although now that I’m about to get the quick silver catalyst I’m a little bummed out. The boots are pretty great though.
Probably better in the end, when you do a lost sector you will most likely get a better stat distribution. Make sure you put on your stat boost for the ghost
This build will work well with warlocks and the new boots you spawn a lot of threadlings, boot make your threadlings unravel targets which is good for barrier champions as well
Frost with the PvE content?? And an actually good PvE build with synergies, that uses the whole kit and is better than 90% of the builds you see from the other dedicated PvE content creators?? You really love to see it.
grapple tech is a new genre of movement, you got rocket grapple, winterbite grapple, tangle grapple into grapple melee kill in crucible. Strand has to be the most fun class ever. This carried lightfall
The first person to seriously study the rocket's potential for space travel, Russian schoolteacher and amateur scientist Konstantin Tsiolkovsky, first published his conclusions in 1903. He correctly identified the launch as one of the biggest challenges - the moment where the rocket has to carry all the fuel and oxidant it needs to reach space - as its weight is at a maximum and a huge amount of thrust is needed just to get it moving. As the rocket gets underway it sheds mass through its exhaust, so its weight is reduced and the same amount of thrust will have a greater effect in terms of accelerating the rest of the rocket. Tsiolkovsky came up with various rocket designs and concluded that the most efficient setup was a vertically launched vehicle with several 'stages' - each a self-contained rocket that could carry the stages above it for a certain distance before exhausting its fuel, detaching and falling away. This principle, still widely used today(opens in new tab), reduces the amount of dead weight that needs to be carried all the way into space. Tsiolkovsky devised a complex equation that revealed the necessary thrust force needed for any given rocket maneuver, and the "specific impulse" - how much thrust is generated per unit of fuel - needed for a rocket to reach space. He realized that the explosive rocket propellants of his time were far too inefficient to power a space rocket, and argued that liquid fuels and oxidants, such as liquid hydrogen and liquid oxygen, would ultimately be needed to reach orbit and beyond. Although he did not live to see his work recognized, Tsiolkovsky's principles still underpin modern rocketry. Rockets must delicately balance and control powerful forces in order to make it through Earth's atmosphere into space. A rocket generates thrust using a controlled explosion as the fuel and oxidant undergo a violent chemical reaction. Expanding gases from the explosion are pushed out of the back of the rocket through a nozzle. The nozzle is a specially shaped exhaust that channels the hot, high-pressure gas created by combustion into a stream that escapes from the back of the nozzle at hypersonic speeds, more than five times the speed of sound. Isaac Newton's third law of motion(opens in new tab) states that every action has an equal and opposite reaction, so the "action" force that drives the exhaust out of the rocket nozzle must be balanced by an equal and opposite force pushing the rocket forward. Specifically, this force acts on the upper wall of the combustion chamber, but because the rocket motor is integral to each rocket stage, we can think of it acting on the rocket as a whole
@@Ihatezidiotzthis is true. You can use heavy hand and firepower to get double orbs on a grapple melee kill. Or you can use impact induction and focusing strike to get double class ability back on a grapple melee kill. Or a combination of what you want. Its pretty nutty.
Would a regular strand weapon work (minus the grenade launcher switch)? I don't have the catalyst unlocked for quicksilver. What about quicksilver without catalyst?
Great build! I can't wait to have more time to play and experiment. I know the light fall story was ehh. But the build update is so amazing and helpful. The artifact update is also amazing. I finally feel like I can use what I want and still be able to take down champions.
Dude I could not agree more. There were so many times in the past that I would want to use a build build but I felt like to do so I had to spend all my time playing setting it all up, and then if I wanted to switch to something else it was like....nah, I'm not doing that again. Now building is simpler mostly in good ways and the loadout section. Yeeeessssssss I can finally play the freakin game!
I just can't get behind thread of accent, unless you a class like solar warlock your not really spending much less doing much "real" shooting while air born (unless your doing something like back to back Rocket Launcher bombing where you only need to make 1 relatively well aimed shot before reloading and repositioning) and reloading is rarely a issue for me. I just would frankly prefer to lean to Fragments that help make my abilities stronger, recover more quickly, or enhance my chosen weapons (such as the ones that grant unraveling rounds, Volatile, or Radiant buffs)
Um I run montecarlo and a glaive and have people run from me in pvp and basically in pve the Monty Carlo give u ur melee ability back on kills and then when u get a kill with melee it reloads, the perk that refills abilities when u do damage then basically makes it so ur abilities are full constantly, so in pve I constantly fly around slam have a full clip to get back abilities constantly have grapples and the rope knife it’s so overpowered it’s not funny but I don’t see anyone use it

Honestly I’d trade out fury with warding. Woven mail uptime would be higher. Meaning you gain more tangles that then explode larger, then do the other stuff. Not to mention when picking up orbs you can gain melee energy, nade energy, and more. Even expending the melee energy for stacks of armor charge to then refund more after it comes back and you grab it. I was throwing 3-5 melee spike throws today over and over again with 0 charge time doing that.
It's the worst strand class and tops out at A tier at best. Once the ult damage is nerfed it will only have grapple. You want sniper resist a sniper resist because woven mail doesn't give any dr on headshots. Dive doesn't work with mods amd the melee is worthless along with its perfect catch feature. It's another half useful ability Hunter spec but it is fun.
