- Death is just a part of life. And although death is often associated with sadness and grief it can also be a great reminder to take life by the horns and to live it to the fullest.
In 2018 we’ve lost some iconic celebs who have enriched our lives with their artistry and work. Among those we lost this year is a legendary comic writer, a singer with the voice of an angel, and a lead singer for a rock band that brought us the iconic song “Zombie.” In honor of their passing, we’ve made a list of celebs we tragically lost this year that takes a look at their work, their iconic moments, and the circumstances surrounding their deaths.

Beautiful Aretha was (Still is) the most incredible singer I’ve ever heard. Simply pristine. Recordings of her as a child (they’re on UA-cam, if you’re curious) are absolutely spine-tingling. I think I will miss her the most, although Stan Lee, Burt Reynolds, Kate Spade and Dennis Edwards also hurt. R.I.P. all of you! Your contributions will never be forgotten.
