Paltrow is the daughter of a famed A list actress (Blythe Danner) and likely became famous due to hitting the genetic lottery looks wise plus having parents with strong Hollywood connections and good reputations. Also, she has her shit together and makes up for her only marginal amount of talent because shows up for work on time, does her best and despite being a wealthy a list actress is relatively easy to work with. She very well may have blown Weinstein a time or two and I doubt it hurt anything for her but if blowjobs were the key to becoming an A list actress then every small town slut trying to make it in Hollywood would have their name on a marquee.

I don't think that's a fair critique or even based in reality. Paltrow is the daughter of a famed A list actress (Blythe Danner) and likely became famous due to hitting the genetic lottery looks wise plus having parents with strong Hollywood connections and good reputations. Also, she has her shit together and makes up for her only marginal amount of talent because shows up for work on time, does her best and despite being a wealthy a list actress is relatively easy to work with. She very well may have blown Weinstein a time or two and I doubt it hurt anything for her but if blowjobs were the key to becoming an A list actress then every small town slut trying to make it in Hollywood would have their name on a marquee.
Bumped into her a few times. Always disappointed. Her demeanor was so self absorbed and it diminished her spirit. It was disenchanting to see an adult behave in such manners. I can't watch her on screen anymore. I don't watch her movies. No loss.

I admire and miss Old Hollywood. Most knew who they were and why they became famous. Of course, there were jerks, too, but now these overly inflated egos forget how disposable they are. Average Americans love the characters they play not their person in real life.
