- Just installed a #leovince cat eliminator pipe on my 2022 #ducati #multistradav4s It was about a two hour job and went quite smoothly. The pipe is a bargin at $539.00 and saves about ten pounds of weight. The #exhaust note is quite louder which is expected, stock system was extremely quite but not that bad. Overall trhe job was easy and on a scale of one to ten I give a five since the instructions were not that good. Best bang for the buck! #ducaticorse #ducativ4s #multistrada #v4s #motorcycle #motorcyclelife #motorcyclist #bike #bikelover #bikelife #exhaustsound #exhaust_sound #diy
Ok, road tested the bike today and put 150+ miles on it. The bike road like a beast! It is riding better than ever. It feels like a 7 HP gain and with the loss of ten pounds it's more agile in the twisties. The front wheel kept coming up which is a good thing. It's light on it's feet so to speak. I am going to bring it to my friend that is a tuner and have him check it on the dyno to see if there are any lean area's that need to be fixed. Overall the bike ran great with no back fires or pops. It almost feels perfect. 😀
Tom, I wondered if you've done the dyno run yet & as to what you've learned? Did you need to adjust the ecu & if how did you manage this process?. Also did after the pipe was fitted did the bike throw up an alarms?
@@bearingthermalresources7366 I did not get a chance to dyno it yet. I did manage to find one slight little problem. It was a little jerky off idle other than that it ran perfect. I can live with that until I get the proper tune on the bike. Also there were not any codes thrown by the computer. It's almost perfect. I also run it in race mode most of the time and that would probably explain the jerky throttle it's very responsive.
@@TRocksGarage777Does your bike have the full akra tune from Ducati?
That’s exactly what I want to do cracking job!
Hey man thanks for the video just ordered the pipe could you do a follow-up video
I'm glad you were able to get a pipe. Last time I checked it did not have any in stock Good luck with your install. It was quite easy.
Yo T rock! Did you make any changes to the bike's ecu to help the fueling? If not, how does it feel now? Is the engine running cooler or hotter? Is there any back firing or popping on decel? Any other funky issues after doing this mod that should be addressed?
I did not make any changes to the ECU at this point. I eventually will do a remap but it almost feels perfect and I'm not experiencing any weird issues or backfiring or pops. I will have it checked out on a dyno to see if there are any lien conditions going on but it feels great and it feels like it has tons of power. Temperature is staying the same as it was. I would recommend doing this mod.
@@TRocksGarage777 In CA unfortunately this will void my warranty. I'd like to do this though.
Oooohhh now I’m tempted. My pal has just put the full Akro race system on his but at £3k fitted I can’t justify that … very tempted with this for that V4 sound
I have friends that got the full Akro and I wanted to get it but that price is way too expensive. This is the way to go for sure. Do it and you will love your bike even more.
@@TRocksGarage777 Thanks mate … certainly looks the way to go and to finish off an otherwise awesome bike 👍🏻
I’m in exactly the same position. My new (to me) V4s sounds like a sewing machine at the moment, but no way can I justify £3k for the full system. So this seems to be the answer. Just to double double double check, centre stand works and no remap required???
Great sound! - in the UK BHP now sell a decat link pipe with ecu reflash for the MS V4 so will try them out. Quick question how are you getting on with the Metzeler M9's on the MS?
Well that's good news how much do they sell that decat link pipe for with the ECU flash? And the Metzler sport tech M9RR tire just came off today. Changing it at this moment. Only got 1,500 miles out of it. I do ride rather aggressively though. I'm switching the tire out to a Michelin pilot power 2CT should give me a little longer range with the sidewall grip that I need for hitting the twisties.
@@TRocksGarage777 £1600 for the link pipe and ecu reflash so not as cheap as the Leo Vince but a damn site less than the Ducati Akrapovic. Tyre wise yes I agree - the M9 is a great tyre but on my previous bike (a Speed Triple 1050 RS) I was getting 2000 miles at best. My 21 MS V4S is due a set soon so will try the Dunlop Mutant as they seem to have good grip with decent mileage.
@@bigal5895 a lot of my friends are going with the Dunlap mutant tires and having really good results with them.
@@bigal5895 I have the full Akra system fitted on my V4S, looks good, sounds good, but what they don't tell you is because it come with two link pipes to the can, it drastically reduces heel clearance and is really annoying. I can't get a nature comfortable riding position on the bike any more. I'm considering selling and getting the BHP link pipe and flash to replace it, their link pipe uses a single pipe system to connect to the can, just like stock and the Leo pipe in your video, which doesn't then cause the heel clearance problem the Akra system does.
Thanks for the comment! That heel position annoyance is important.

Does the Leo Vince pipe work with a centre stand?
Thinking same. But might leave Ducati map as there is some richness safety margin. I have Pikes Peak so I will just reinstall stock Akra can.
Thank you for this video! Did you purchase that link pipe directly from Leo Vince's website? Also, did you have issues with installation?
Yes, I did purchase the link pipe from Leo Vince directly. I don't know if they still sell it. I checked a few times and didn't see it on their website. It was a breeze to install. No problems at all and great quality.
Hey! How much for the link pipe? Thanks
You can still use the center stand with this, right? How are you liking it now that it’s been on the bike a few months? Any tune yet or is it running fine (saw your rough idle comment). Thanks for the video!
Yes, the center stand is not an issue works perfectly. I did not get a tune yet because it really does not feel like it needs it The rough idle cleared up after I disconnected the battery and reconnected it and all idle issues were gone. I may get a tune in the future if I could find a good one out there that's not going to screw up my computer. I had friends trying to flash their computers and totally destroying them. Luckily warranty covered it and they were able to get a new computer. I actually did a dyno run too I don't know if you saw my video. It actually performed quite well and got good power. The whole dcat thing got me a few extra horsepower. I'm sure with a proper flash it would be a lot better.
Thanks for the video and all the great info! I’m happy to hear it runs fine without a new tune.
Cracking Job! Did you use exhaust paste? Just about to fit one 👍🏻
I only used very little to almost none. The pipes fit extremely tight fit and very well made. You will not have any problems with leaks.
@@TRocksGarage777 thanks mate 👍🏻
How did she do on the road? Any change in felt torque or weird noises that were unexpected?
I am testing the bike tomorrow and let you know. Overall the pipes are very well made and I think the bike will do just fine. I know it may run leaner but a simple map change will fix that.
Did you notice any cooling effects after?
Have you taken the bike to a dealer for any services since removing the cat? If so how was Ducati about the modification? I get my V4S Monday and have my delete pipe ready to install!
Great question. I'm sure my dealer will not say anything about the cat delete. I'm sure that they really don't even care if it was on there or not. They are very cool about any modifications that I do. I bought many bikes from them and they know I'm a good customer so I'm sure they will not mind at all.
Nice note to the V4 but more interested in the 350/4 .
The 350 four is my baby, love that bike.
@@TRocksGarage777
And in the best colour they came in 👍. I would swap my V4 for one.
@TRocksGarage777 could you confirm me that it works also with original engine map ? I would not remap !! Thanks in advance for your feedback
I've been using the bike now for several months and it feels spot on. One day I would like to check the emission's to see if it is actually running lean. Not worrying though, the bike feels perfect. I would only remap it if I knew it was going to make more power.
T- Rock,
Can you get me the part number for the exact pipe you purchased please? Also did any re mapping have to be done? Thank you
Here is the part number Part #: 80036. www.leovince.com/en-us/product/1811-4365-cat-eliminator-link-pipe-ducati-multistrada-1100-v4-v4-s-pikes-peak-2021-2023-2. I did not do a remap yet. Still testing the pipe but everything feels good so far.
It has been awhile now, how is the cat delete working? Did you ever reflash it?
The cat delete is working fine and I don't see me getting a flash any time soon. Im using the bike to commute to work four times a week and the trip each way is about ten miles. If I plan on doing some serious riding in the future I will get it flashed, but as of now I will leave it as it feels almost perfect.
Let us know how it rides! Another video be great if it on the street!
Testing it today. Would love to do a video but not on this very spirited ride. I will do one in the future to get the exhaust note, it's gonna be good.😉
What battery do you have installed on your Multi?
Still have the stock battery. The bike is only a year old.
Does this require a servo buddy?
No, there isn't any exhaust servo's on this bike. It's an easy upgrade.
Does doing a Cat delete alter your maintenance intervals?
No,not at all. Maintenance schedules remain the same.
good job , too bad that is illegal here
Yeah you keep saying that, but the "stock silencer" is akrapovic
It's just a sticker 😂
@@TRocksGarage777OK I just confirmed what I already knew on the Ducati Configurator. All the multistrada V4S can be configured with a stock akropovich exhaust can or the race akrakovich exhaust can. I think somebody swapped yours out Before you bought the bike. sorry about that
@@MagicinstallsBro, that's not an Akra exhaust. The Akra that comes on the Multistrada is either on the V4s Sport or the Pikes Peak. The standard V4S gets the standard exhaust.
Do you need any remap - adjustment? Software etc?
It seems pretty good at the moment no pops or nothing weird. But I am going to do a remap just to make sure everything is how it should be.
I have a 2021 950S, I wonder if Vance Hines makes a pipe for mine?
I just checked on their website and they don't. It even looks like they either stopped making the one that I got or they sold out of them.😕
its leo vin cheee
Thanks for correcting me on my pronunciation.
Leo Vince will not ship to CALIFORNIA
Oh, That sucks! Gotta love Cali.
Nope, they sure won't. Because of C.A.R.B.
I hate it here in Commifornia
If you’re going to do an exhaust sound video, turn that terrible music off and let us hear the exhaust without a hair band blaring in the background!
Where did you find the Leo Vince de cat set up? I found one on eBay but it says for a pikes Peak, I just wonder if they're the same?
I bought it right off the Leo Vince website.
And the link pipe is what they call it is the same as the Pikes Peak pipe. They are not in stock at the moment. If I were you and wanted to get one I would put myself on their mailing list and be notified when they are restocked. They are probably a hot seller and move quickly.
Thanks, will do..
@@TRocksGarage777
Thank you. They show out of stock, so I'll wait and see..
