Got an offer I couldn't refuse! This is the slowest I rode all weekend, very mindful of the price tag obviously, but very grateful I got the chance to try one.
Came from two Tuono V4s (cause they’re awesome) to a V4s sport. Something just clicked and I knew it was time for one of these machines. Never ridden a bike as much, as far having so much fun. It’s thee best bike I’ve ridden. Crazy fast, powerful, comfortable and can fill your topbox/panniers up and disappear. WHAT A MACHINE!
I came from a Gen II XR to my Pikes Peak. What I notice most is that 1) the seat is more comfortable, and 2) the V4 has better low end to dig out of corners. I put the Akra race & uptune on the bike, and it has more power, a little less weight now, and sounds amazing.
the V4 has better low end to dig out of corners. then you would probably siht a brick if you rode my 2010!! Welcome to the Multistrada family! Your bike is astounding, the coolest thing on 2 wheels today.
Back when the 1200 Multistrada S first came out in 2010 there was an on bike video of Greg Tracy taking his Multi to a track day. The only modifications the bike had was slicks,a Terminglioni exhaust and the suspension tuned for him. He started mid pack and by the end of his heat he had passed every other superbike on the track. That’s the lineage this bike has. Greg Tracy had won the Pikes Peak hill climb 3 times before then. Unfortunately in 2011 he crashed in some oil a car had laid down before him. I was there at this running. I would love to have one of these models. Amazing bike.
I recently purchased the 2022 Pike's Peak and it is something to behold. Feels fantastic to ride and the power is just insane. There is no wanting more bike. After hitting 100mph +, something comes alive in the Granturismo V4 that is both exhilarating and intimidating at the same time. Almost as if it was alive, roaring at me, egging me on to keep twisting the throttle well beyond my comfort zone. A total beast and I love it!
Love see you riding So cool I was talking you about Pikes Peak V2 a few days ago You know what will be crazy A video with Track times Ducati Pikes peak V4 2021 vs Ducati Pikes Peak V2 2020 I tried again both Pikes Peaks on the Highway Only and I just like the smaller size and weight of the V2
Great Video. If you’ve got the chance, go for another turn in Race-Mode. Then it turns even nicer. 🤪 I traded in a 2017XR and a 2021 GSA for the 2023 MTS PP. No regrets. 👍💪🤟
@@CubanRider 😇🙏 …enjoying your Videos, over here in Germany. I’ve just returned from a week in riding in Sardinia, Italy last month. Many Roads there are very similar to the tail of the dragon, where you’re located. Enjoy! 🏍️🤟
My bro in law who has one and loves it, according to him you cant even buy one here in the UK, only order it and its a long wait, have to admit its a nice bike, even insuring it was a problem for him, forced to get a tracker and made to jump through hoops, he moved it from the garage outside and got a call asking why its moving lol
My PP handles more like my old Duke 890R than my Superduke GT ever could. More comfortable, dampened, confidence-inspiring and controlled--with uncanny agility foe a "Big Bike". More comfy for wife/travel as well. Best all-round bike out of 20 I've owned so far.
That's a big compliment for sure. I have yet to ride a Superduke GT, but know a couple of people who ride them very fast. I wasn't sure how these tires reacted and I was riding in an intermediate rider group, but the bike felt like it could be ridden much faster with confidence.
Buenos dias, que tal comparada con la xr? Mejor o peor? Me gustaria saber tu opinión. Tengo una XR que rambien uso en circuito y tengo curiosidad por saber que tal la v4😂
@@CubanRider Admittedly you can pick up a 2020 XR model slightly used for around $15k nowadays but I totally understand what you're saying. If it's just going to be your race/sporty road bike I don't know that the extra features the newer gen bike offers are worth the price tag. I can imagine having a motorcycle north of $20k on track is already a bit of a risky game you're playing.
Love seeing an 'adventure bike' on the track. The multistrada is a beast, but the price difference between a Pikes Peak and S1000XR M is substantial. I went w/ the XR... for now ;-)
Now that I think about it, it may have been the Rosso IV Corsas. Either way, I wasn't pushing it enough to make a difference. No idea about tire pressures, but they felt okay.
I have a '21 Tuono V4, love that bike but it's balls to the wall every time I take her out (the sound of that Aprilia V4 is stunning). Was thinking about trading it in for the Pikes Peak.... what do you think having owned a Tuono? Can you compare the two bikes?
The Tuono is a more racy, if you're going to spend a lot of time on track, it'd be the weapon of choice. The Multi on the other hand is a do-it-all machine; very expensive, but if you can afford it I don't think you can go wrong with it.
Hey Cuban.. Any odd vibrations felt when you were getting on it, especially when accelerating hard into the triple digits +, I'm not asking about engine vibes like the type that numbs your hand- talking about like an out of round tire / wheel condition or out of balance tire- Just got mine last week and I know for a fact there's something not right with this bike..but of course the dealer says otherwise.. best way I can describe it is.. doing 100+ mph with big arse motocross knobby tires on the bike.
No noticeable vibrations of any type on this one, quite comfortable going triple digit speeds. I'd say the best bet on yours would be removing the wheel and checking for roundness and balancing.
@@CubanRider That was my first thought as well but the dealer said it zeroed out- and to continue riding it, it may go away?? So I complained to GM and they replaced the front tire under warranty but it still doing it- maybe the rear needs to changed too?

even on a race pist , you can reach supersports . So why I prefer an unconfortable , small supersport bike ? I would prefer sport touring , confortable one ofcourse
Raise the forks in the triple clamp and you'll have a more nimble xr too. Stock front is too high. Experiment until you're satisfied. There;s people with as much as 50mm front lowered.

Awesome! I was looking for you Sunday! I’ll meet you next time 👊🏼
Looks like it got your seal of approval ! I guess the backwards rotating crank helps with direction changes, plus it's shorter than the XR's too.
Shorter than the XR? This V4 Pikes Peak has one of the longest wheelbases, and the XR one of the shortest among the so-called Adventure bikes
