Finally some young (sorry but Im an old man) people who know what they are are doing and the respect you show the "game" is impressive. Waaaw ! It must be great fun to fish on crystal clear ice like that. Something we can only dream of in rainy Belgium. It hasn’t stop raining for six weeks now !!
Now the weather forecast predicts some night frost the next week, but not enough to be able to fish on the ice. And then again, we don’t have such clear water. In fact, in Belgium it’s forbidden to put holes in the ice on public waters… One thing Belgium’s great in: taking the pleasures away. All that’s fun, is forbidden. We have to drive stupid cars with engines (3-4 cylinders, 1000 cc) or if not, you pay enormous taxes, section controls and speed cameras everywhere, zones where the speed limit is 18 mph, but on the most ridiculous places, you can’t cary a gun, if you are member of a shooting club, it’s not allowed to use a laser or a scree for night shooting, you can’t fish on ice ‘because the holes you make are not safe for the general public’, and so on. But… we are the population that pays the most taxes in the world !!! 52% !!!
You can pay, but fun ? No way… 🤮
Nevertheless lots of love from f*cking Belgium. 😜
