    Great suggestions! I'm of the Xacto weilding crowd...and I can totally appreciate apprehension of trying to cut *just* the paper. There've been times I've been working and cringed a little after cause I can see where I've knocked the canvas just a touch when I wasn't being careful enough. I like using a ruler and sectioning the whole thing off in 4x5 inch sections. Seems to be my golden size for time I have to work on a painting. I've definitely done the fold, fold and tear, and fold and cut methods, too!

    I bought a set of 6 silicone baking sheets on Amazon for $13.49. They are all different sizes and I use the heck out of them. No more crunchy plastic cover like what's on poured glue canvases. I do however keep the white paper cover and cut it into various sizes if I need an "armrest".

      You're the second person to mention baking sheets; you guys are holding out on me. This sounds magical! Thank you so much for the hot tip!😉

    I do it the way you do with just folding it over and keep going but I usually don't got it off buy have a few times once I have a big section done. Great video.

    Some parchment paper can stick because only one side is coated. I learned that lesson the hard way. The best parchment paper to use is the kind that say non-stick. Not only does it not stick to your canvas, but you can use both sides and re-use it for more than one painting.

      I have never seen one sided parchment. How does this work for baking? Wouldn't one side melt or stick to the pan? I have to find this stuff; I'm intrigued! Thanks for the hot tip!😊

      K Diamond Paints It works just fine for baking, but it won’t say nonstick on the box. I guess non-stick uses a different coating on both sides of the paper.

    I usually go the way of parchment paper. I also use the silicone cooking mats you can buy at Dollarame Store. Great video, thanks.

    I crease and fold, no tearing. Just fold down section and work that way. Now, I have very large ones and I have release papers that I replace the solid piece with. Because I noticed once you cut or section off. Sometimes the paper gets stuck and I dont want that. I need to fix a do that's double sided but I dont think it will work. Thank you for the tips

    Great tips! I use the 6 x 6 parchment papers. I like your light pad, where did you get it and what is the brand, are you happy with it?

      I love it so far. I purchased my A3 in January and it was already sold out when I put up the review video ua-cam.com/video/Dk5NQEM2N04/v-deo.html . It just came back into stock www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0827KCF36/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s02?ie=UTF8&psc=1

    You can also get the sheet replacement papers. Similar to small parchment squares, and they are re-usable.

      Hi! I use parchment paper. I use Reynolds or stuff from the Dollar Store. Here is a link to Walmart so you can see what it is. www.walmart.com/ip/Reynolds-Kitchens-Parchment-Paper-Roll-100-Square-Feet/876355157 Have a great day and thank for watching!😁

      @@KDiamondPaints I try to use the shiny side down on the canvas and I haven't had an issue...the only reason being is that that was the only thing I had at the time and it worked like a charm...now this was on poured glue...not sure about double-sided adhesive...

    I am not seeing the point in this. I just pull paper back and put beads on.

    • @KDiamondPaints
      @KDiamondPaints  4 роки тому

      The whole piece of paper? What do you do to cover the sticky part you're not working on? What do you do when you've finished a section? Do you just leave the paper? It doesn't stick after you've put the drills down; does it get in your way? I am totally intrigued!🤔 Please tell me your method!😁

    • @OnTheHookCrochetwithJeanne
      @OnTheHookCrochetwithJeanne 3 роки тому +1

      Maybe some painters do the ‘pull back and just place’ drills. They do not do one tiny section at a time. The one section method is very organized and can be strict, but is comforting that all the drills are placed in a small square before moving on.

    I hate double-sided adhesive, so I just don't buy it. Poured glue all the way lol

      I have one that was poured glue and it's crap. The diamonds dont stick on very well and keep falling off
