Mark, my name is Tommy Staples. I have been doing your voice training for about two weeks now. I love you, dude. I can see the improvement in my voice already. Thank you, sir.
Hey Mark, I really appreciate your humanity and keeping it real. If everyone edits out their mistakes it can feel.impossible for learners to attain that level of flawlessness. Thanks for being humble enough to include them! 😀
It is impossible not to love him! Mark, you are amazing! I start my day warming up with you. My musical director says my tone has improved greatly! Thank you so much....I admire you and the work that you do...and the fact that you help so many people. 😊❤
It’s so exciting getting through the difficult parts of excercises. The payoff is the next day when you hear how your voice has improved. Mark Baxter is your friend if you want to improve your voice. A very grateful human being here.
This guy can teach me how to actually sing, half-way decent! His vocal exercises are so easy to follow even to people whose first language is not English. Thank you so much!!
Anytime Mark But truth be told you bailed me out when I came to you on Thatcher st. for lessons. My voice was in the crapper with some serious voice issues! Went on to many years of fronting a successful 3 piece band traveling all over the country! Will always be greatfull! Blessings!
Thank you kind sir! Very cool exercise. I now use it in all of my warm ups and usually throughout the day at opportune times. You my friend are awesome! 🗣🎤
What a relief you only have one color paisley shirt, but if more are coming out of closet. Other vocalists FYI - The purple paisley is our DBDBDBDBDB fav. That is- as long as rascally Mark doesn’t try to trick us.
I had this deep back voice problem while singing and with this daily exercise, I have been able to tremendously overcome the same and credit goes to revered Mr. Baxter without whose guidance, experience and support it has not been possible. So hats off to him for all times. Thanks!
Of course the fast part was more challenging, but I kind of got there. As I've mentioned in other comments, your notes on screen are really helpful, even if one or two are obvious, they are great reminders. Wonderful lesson. Many many thanks once again.
Your videos stand out from anything I have found and I think this is just what I need after vocal fold surgery to remove nodules six months ago. My surgeon tells me one of my vocal folds is "stiffer" than the other. My sound production is okay in the morning however, gets fatigued very quickly and takes on a strained quality by afternoon and that is just normal talking. You're very real with no pretences. Thank you!
The fatigue you experience is due to neighboring muscles overcompensating for the stiffer fold. When you vocalize stay focused on creating as much independence as possible. Use comfort rather than sound as your guide. Yes - you want a great sound - but if you don't establish ease first your voice will tire too quickly. Flexibility is your vocal superpower!
@@voicelessondotcom I was starting to feel very down about the future of my voice but you have given me renewed optimism. I only wish I had discovered you sooner. Thank you once again.
Superb exercise , but burst out laughing when your inner devil appeared ,lol ,,.... thank you mark , I have a grin on my face and Improvings both speeds and range .... all good 👍🏻
This really helps me feel comfortable with changing registers. I would always try to sing in the exact key which would end up hurting my throat. Amazing class!
This is great fun and satisfying to see differences (in a good way) each day. Thank you for the explanations as to "why" you have us doing different techniques.
@@davecharrier6632 It's like raising the guitar or saxophone to play a high note - better to develop muscle independence regarding pitch so we singers can show off when performing just like guitar and sax players do!
This year on Thanksgiving I am grateful for your online and in person lessons. This lesson is great way to start the day before the food--and I'll keep my eye out for the laughing guy. Thanks Mark.
LOL, had to pause to laugh, my golden retriever just walked up and gave me a look of disbelief. Too funny. This is a fun one though! (If 'Maverick' doesn't like some of the vocalise, he'll howl. If he likes a song, he'll fall asleep or rest his head on my knee.)

hmmm this is actually very good. I like it. I will say I was so light I started actually drooling a bit lmfao. It happened on the faster section, but I have also been following a lot of exercises and the volume level lesson you put out actually helped a lot because of the insistence on relaxation in the video. So it actually taught me to relax. It made this lesson a lot easier to perform. I switched between registers when I was doing it and to make sure I was also working on my higher notes and lower and switching registers. My vocal range has gotten a lot better too. Its a C2 to an A#5 (the A#5 came as a result of wanting to sing Micro Cuts by Muse and I over shot the note a bit, its actually a G#5/Ab5). Now I am working on the whistle register people seem to want to know how to do. My highest note I got in that register was an F9 which I thought was pretty amazing. I remember when I got to finally hit an F#5 and I was really happy, like all things in life, you will always only get better if you have a willingness to learn and not give up. I hit those notes as a man who is 41, I hope that gives some people encouragement.
