yeah so it's been like 2 and a half months. i apologize for the break, but i think i just needed a lot of time to myself to focus on school and hang out with friends that i'd disconnected from over quarantine. also, a new development, ya boi fractured his wrist a couple days ago, which means i can't spend all summer playing videogames like i totally didnt plan to do lol. hopefully this will force me to make more music, and i wanted to start summer off with this remix that i made for the Nintendo Lo-Fi Megamix, which was amazing as usual. i'm really proud of the percussion in this mix, although everything pitch related is pretty much 1-to-1 with the original, which i wanna start doing less in the near future. i still have some other songs in the works that i'm excited for, i just need to find the motivation to finish them. I hope you enjoy!

Oh, excellent work, iRead! This has such a chill, yet mysterious vibe to it, and I love how varied it sounds.
For instance, it's so cool how you switched up the beat at 0:51 to sort of a back-beat, slow D&B rhythm for a phrase, before resuming the original groove. I always pay way too much attention to the hi hat and kick songs, and your really stood out as complex and nicely syncopated here. Clearly, a lot of work went into those two drums alone, and they sound super tight. I also really like your use of reverse cymbals leading into certain phrases. Just, stellar drums and percussion all around here.
That piano works great as a lead, by the way, and I like how you swung those 8th notes to fit with that hip-hop rhythm, especially in the intro section. And it sounds like there is some kind of neat detune effect on it, especially near the end. The lighter instrumentation here really fits the atmosphere I think you were going for here, and it's quite _a propos_ for a BotW remix!
That ending is amazing, as well, with a beautiful set of resolving chords and some subtle drumming as the song winds down. I enjoyed hearing this in the Megamix, and I'm liking it just as much now! :)
Also, sorry to hear about your wrist injury, but I hope that heals soon, and that doesn't interfere too much with your hobbies. This is going to be the summer vacation we all needed! 😅
