Man, your production is always so tight, iRead - wonderful work, as always! You've definitely made your boy proud here - even Revali would have to commend this uniquely charming and very easy-on-the-ears remix (although perhaps begrudgingly so 😁). But since our feathered friend isn't one for lavishing praise, I'll take this opportunity! The percussive elements here are so well done, and I love the complexity of it, as well as the unique choice of instruments. Those pitched glass taps are insanely creative to use as a rhythmic element, and the pattern is so groovy, especially with those quick, higher-pitched triplet fills at the ends of certain phrases. And man, using a guiro as a primary element?... that's fantastic! They layer in so well with the satisfying snares/claps, those crisp finger snaps, and the subtle shaker. I love the kick pattern, too, and how it uses lots of syncopation and mix-ups! And the stereo positioning of the percussive instruments is excellent, too - man, not a single aspect gets overlooked with you! Your instrument choices here are absolutely beautiful, as well. That slightly off-tune lead in the beginning really begins the piece in a quaint and cozy-sounding way, as if it's being played through a memory in the game. But before long, you transition into something more hi-fi, and I'm all for it! The way so many new elements kick in (including the kick itself) at 0:20 creates such an impact. I love how traditional Asian string sounds are used, like that koto for the lead melody, and a continuously strumming support instrument (a pipa or guzheng, maybe?) - it gives it such a traditional flavor, which perfectly contrasts the modern percussive style. Seriously, I love that particular fusion approach, and it sounds so good, especially when done as superbly as you have here. The arrangement is top-tier here, as well, and I really like how you used an alternate chord progression at 1:36... and with the _Dragon Roost Island_ theme, no less? What a thematic inclusion, and that transition out of it, with the iconic 1-2-3-4-5 from the Main Theme at 1:53 straight-up gave me chills. Seriously, so much thought was put into that segment alone, and the way it comes full circle, concluding with that arranged ending, accompanied by a silky-smooth tempo reduction was just perfection. Also, the use of phase and filtering as you segue between segments was a great detail, and adds even more color to an already varied piece! And if I know you, you designed this pixel art of Revali, as well! I've been loving your pixelated art and animations, and it's so cool how you've really gone all-in with this new avenue of artistic expression! I have huge admiration for people who can both produce music and create visual designs, and your versatility as an artist is remarkable, really. Keep up the fantastic work, my friend! ✨

When I first played BOTW I was like, "Where's the music?" Lol then I keep seeing all these remixes from people and I'm like, "Oh, I must have not played it well enough" Hahahahaha this sounds so great! The lofi sound is something that I really like. Your bass mixing also sounds fantastic in this and pops at all the right moments

I'm really glad you like it :) I agree that a lot of the BoTW soundtrack is super subtle and almost ambient, which makes it hard to notice sometimes, but I also really like how simplistic it is because it gives remixers like us so much more space to be creative and interpret it our own way! I could honestly nerd out about BoTW's and ToTK's soundtracks for days but I'll spare you lol, thanks for stopping by!

TOTK is indeed amazing! It's similarly atmospheric like BOTW for the most part, but all the battle music is so bombastic and exhilarating, it's such an awesome game!!

There are people who hate Revali (it’s their right and I respect their opinion even if I respectfully disagree with them) they say that the fact that he works really hard, and he doesn’t come from nobility or close to royality isn’t an argument and doesn’t excuse his behaviour towards Link. I say that the fact he works hard and doesn’t come from nobility and the fact he is arrogant makes the character interesting, Link comes from a family of knights maybe close from the royal family but Revali is not the son of a Rito Elder. He come from the masses. Mipha is my third favorite champion, second is Urbosa.
@@metalhead3737 Toootally agree, he's definitely an arrogant guy, but nobody is perfect, and he is the best archer in Hyrule so he must be able to brag at least a little bit lol. And I love Urbosa too, I really like how chill and laid-back she is, but also incredibly protective and strategic. I really wish we could've seen more of the champions in ToTK, but who knows, maybe them and Kass will be back in the DLC 👀
