iRead, this is wonderful!! I honestly never expected to like a remix of Tarrey Town so much, but the instrumentation, style, and overall atmosphere here are just perfect. And I say this not as a statement against the theme, but towards your knack for getting me excited about tracks that I hadn't given much thought to previously. :D The instrument choices here are spectacular, and I love the combination of soft piano with traditional Asian instruments (a koto, maybe?) The strumming technique sounds so authentic and precise, and the way these two main elements complement each other so nicely, taking the roles of both lead and support, is really impressive. I'm not sure whether the bass instrument is also a piano or a mellow harp, but it's lovely, as well, and it really ties everything together. And man, the panning is superb, as well, with the different elements placed tactfully to create an immersive sound. I have to be honest, the part at 1:11 in particular gets me feeling emotional, with that lower-octave piano. I love that it becomes the feature element there, leading in with those beautifully subtle descending grace notes, and it's just so warm-sounding. And man, you really did a spectacular job with the percussive elements here! The drums and percussion here are so detailed and nuanced, yet natural and fluid-sounding, like it's being played by an actual drummer. I love the assortment of rhythmic techniques you've integrated, like those flams in the snare, and the gentle hi hat and snare rolls - in tandem with the frequent and varied drum fills, the drum parts sound so rich, and the quality is seriously pro-level. And the way the drum combination changes, as elements are smoothly added and removed (or made more or less prominent in the mix) really gives the beat a dynamic feel - it's a treat to hear so many different drums and cymbals used, alongside lesser-used elements, like tambourine and side stick. I get the feeling that you're a drummer, based on how masterful the percussive elements are in your remixes, and whether or not that's accurate, you have exceptional ability in this area! Once again, fantastic work here, my friend, and the artwork is a cute and charming complement to the relaxed musical style. Your love for this game - and this theme in particular - really shows, and this remix is a genuine delight to listen to! 💛

I'm so glad you felt like the drums were designed to sound like they were played by a real person because that's exactly what I was going for :) Usually my percussion parts are complex and heavily layered, but I wanted to make it very simple and theoretically playable by real people this time (foreshadowing? 👀).
