When Lego brought back the Indiana Jones theme to coincide with the release of Dial of Destiny, they only put out 3 sets, none of which being based on Dial of Destiny. I think you forgot a star wars reference. In Lego star wars 3 there is a mini kit you get by playing a little mini game controlling indie on a screen (I believe in the hostage level) You can find it pretty easy on UA-cam

One entry that should be on this iceberg is a rare glitch where, if you go into one of the bonus levels built with the level builder, it will ocassionally not spawn the level and just spawn a blank green field. This might be mandella effect, but I remember it happening to me multiple times as a kid.
I mainly grew up with the DS ports of all the classic Lego games. Although I did have TCS and Indy 1 on the Wii, which I played, I spent much longer on the DS ports due to family issues and not really being able to play the Wii. Thus, I was surprised at how many of the cut characters of the PS/Wii version were ones I actually played with as a kid !
The Second Game having the weird ass decision to have each movie/part end with a over the top boss fight is one of the funniest things ever. Like Indy 2, not a great adaption compared to the first but dang, did it innovate a lot with how it structured the levels, extras, that whole entire level editor, etc.

Also, the custom missions (where you strung together story levels) were a blast; I made custom Hardy Boys characters and strung together all of the driving levels, as it felt fitting. Frank, Joe, Chet, Biff, and even Callie and Iola took on Germans and China gangsters. It really felt like you were building your own game!

In one of the extra bounty hunter missions (this one being a full new level instead of a preexisting one in which you have to look for a specific character), you can get a minikit by playing a very basic minigame of running and jumping through the jungle as Indy

It’s interesting to see the Thuggee Slave Driver Chief in game. I like to think that he was gonna be the main boss and the other Thuggee Slave Drivers were just gonna be goons similar to how it was in the movie. The Chief Slave Driver also looks notably closer to his movie counterpart when compared to what we ended up getting.
I don’t remember fully if it was the chief or not, but on the DS, the slave driver also had a whip, being the only other character with one, besides Indy

When I was a kid, my cousin and I played the first game (Platinum edition) every summer on my PSP. I remember that on the very first time only, on the cutscene with the golden idol Indy didn't just pull out the binoculars and the studs, he also pulled other items, but I only remember specifically a rubber ducky. After the first time, it didn't appear ever again. I do not know of this scene variation anywhere else, so I have been wondering for my whole childhood If I have dreamed it all up.

Not sure if anyone knows this. But in Indiana 1 for the Wii in the Trouble In Sky level there is an infamous glitch. At the end of the level should you climb to the top of the ship to get the purple studs then finish the level the game would crash every single time. A hard crash as well as a horrible buzzing noise. To this day I have no idea why it happens, but there was a form post about it on GameFAQs so it's at least known to the Wii players. Don't climb up the crows nest and you are good. Also, during the final level of the holy grail, I ran into an unknown glitch where the Jenova puzzle messed up and the stones would not light up thus the door would not open either. Restarting the level fixed this issue however. I don't know if either of these are iceberg worthy, but I just wanted to tell someone about this as I think it's slightly interesting.

The green platform from the second game is supossed to be a scrapped landing pad for the UFO. I plkayed the Wii prototype version (You can find it on Internet Archive) on dolphin emulator, and Instead of having the green platform, It had a second UFO. That green platform looks like the building platforms where you place a crate to build something. So It was probably a puzzle where you had to find a crate and build a landing pad for unlocking the UFO

I'm replaying the lego indi titles, first game is rougher than I remember but still having fun. Idk how I feel about 2 yet, gonna try to keep an open mind but didn't enjoy it much originally.
Fun Fact: Some of Indy 2's cut characters appear as enemies in the horde levels, like the Pankot Guard & the Motorbike Enemy Soldier. These characters can become playable if you hit them Mola Ram's Black Sleep potion. It's like a mind control ability similar to LEGO Batman's Riddler & subsequent super hero games, where you can control another NPC as long as they're within a certain range. I was so shocked to find out this hidden feature as a kid.
Very unlikely at this point, since modern LEGO games have full dialogue they'd have a much harder time working around Nazis and Soviets than they did 15 years ago.
Interesting fact regarding the salute, the German military did actually salute like the American military. The salute you're thinking of was more of a political salute.
