Bryan Robson, my hero for eternity, he's the reason I fell in love with United as a young kid in the 80's when all my mates were choosing Liverpool, since then I have been honoured to witness many great players pull on that red shirt, some of those players had even more talent than Robbo, but not one who had more determination, more desire, more pride, add that determination, desire and pride to his outstanding talent and you've got everything a Manchester United player should be, he was superb and how we miss his like today.
Robbo won us 3 FA Cups [83-85-90]. If he had stayed fully fit & was free on injury Im certain we'd have picked up a League Title in the mid 80s. There was a nucleus of a good team but injuries & boozing let them down. Ten straight wins @ beginning of the 85 season on the back of one of those Cup triumphs should have been it. After Bryan named Bobby Charlton as his first central midfielder I thought he might say Roy Keane. As someone who grew up supporting United from the mid 90s Keane is in my top 3 United players of all time but I feel like Robbo is being a bit humble here. From everything I've heard he was every bit the Steven Gerrard of the 80's for United so he'd be my pick alongside Bobby Charlton - humility is a very admirable character trait though. I'm going to guess he'll have Giggsy at left wing even though that's not that much of a stretch of the imagination lol.

Being the best player for a fallen giant at the time, surrounded by not so great players for their club. Dragging the team to wins. Im 31, so never seen Robbo..but i always wondered who was actually better?
It's not all one sided but Robson was a better all round player and leader. The reasons for that are that Gerrard was at his best as an attacking midfielder and even played in the number 10 role for Liverpool as the man just behind the striker. However if you take penalties out of his total, his goals scored were not much higher than Robson who played much of his later career as a holding midfielder. Robson surprisingly also outscored Gerrard for England scoring 26 goals in 90 games where Gerrard only scored 21 in 114 games! It's also important to recognise that Robson was a natural leader. All players improved by 10% when Robson was playing. Gerrard led by example the same as Robson, but he wasn't a talker and left that job to Carragher. For England Robson was loved by the fans because he gave his all and brought his club form to England. By his own admission Gerrard didn't bring his club form to England and when Captain presided over one of the worst periods in England's history at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa when England were crushed by Germany in the first knock out round! Robson also won 2 Premier League Titles something which Gerrard never managed.

I must admit Rooney great choice
i love this team only miss bryan and beckham
That is most def the best Man Utd 11,i'e seen picked..And for once u did'nt see a obvious bias towards his own era!
"Ronaldo let himself down in his second spell"... For calling out the most abhorrent parasitic ownership in the whole of sport, and a manager who did nothing but disrespect him. If you say so Bryan...
No, for not playing for the team, acting like a spoilt brat when not playing cause he wasn't good enough, then crying to piers Morgan of all people. Take your blinkers off.
@@keinguyen3380 He was the player with most goals in man utd. telling truth and problems in united is not crying you don't know anything so shut up kid
@@divyanshu3072 kid? I was watching ronaldo when he made his United debut in 03 😂. People like you who follow players and not teams are the worst thing about modern day football
@@keinguyen3380 When did I said I follow players not teams. You just barking without any knowledge kid
@@keinguyen3380 The way you assholes treated your club legend is absolutely disgrace
Roy Keane better than scholes in all time 11...no way... Scholes first player on the team sheet and others accordingly.

I was absolutely gutted when West Brom were asset stripped and lost Robbo, Atkinson, and Cunningham, a great many people fail to remember he started his career at the Hawthorns.
Paul McGrath
Please Byran you played with him. Natural footballer
Must underrated player ever
Dennis irwin
4 irishmen. Not bad
Tough call to make on the best United 11, I think he did a good job of it.
Being a fan who grew up in the Ferguson era, I would of filled the rest of the squad with 90s players.
Van der Saar
Neville Bruce Vidic Evra
Beckham Scholes Robson Giigs
Cantona Van Nistelrooy
Also honourable mentions to Stepney, Bryne, Colman, Whiteside, Violett and Jack Rowley
Great team for the Ferguson era, A little known fact is that D. York had a 98% pass completion rate and yet nobody ever includes him. If i had to choose the Greatest United 'Squad' i think there would be hundreds in it, i'd hate to leave anyone out but a few.
No Cantona??
Every all time Man U 11 has to start with Giggs, Scholes, Rooney, Schmeichel.
Paul mcgrath best center half in england bar any..
Some day, Nat is going to climb across the table and literally mount big Sam.
Scholes cantona
