They need to remake the film to be more like this. Recasting this as a smith film is brilliant
Yeah their version sounds way more fun then the movie we got
I don't know why. But I would actually pay to see Will Smith play in a haunted mansion movie.
@@theghosthost2165 yeah this movie sounds awesome
Will Smith sucks, Eddie Murphy all the way
@@mcreal109 please tell me your joking I mean he can be funny but he just doesn't work in this
I would pay good money repeatedly to watch this version of the movie
Hell, I would go to see most of their movie fixes.

ronsorage78 I don’t think recasting Eddie Murphy is necessary. I honestly think he could pull off the trickster type, he’s done it before.
He's not exactly one of my favorite actors of all time anyway LOL. I think Will Smith would do more with the role
Same
Aaaaaand now I feel cheated. This is what we should’ve gotten.
Lol, right?
😢 why Disney why don't you do this
I think I enjoyed listening to this "audio-novel" far more then watching the actual film. Also, Malcolm does a spot-on Will Smith voice! ;p
Much better than an entirely musical review of Pink Floyd's The Wall film?
Me too, THIS is far better than the version we actually got!
Won't lie, Phantom Manor has a better story than Haunted Manson. Does it even have one?
Constance the bride that kills all her husbands for money
The Haunted mansion has only one true origin story. Look up captain Gore
No, it has no story. Its more of an experience attraction similar to Pirates of the Caribbean which has no story either, it just an experience.
Well you see the story can be described in song well When the crypt doors creak
And the tombstones quake
Spooks come out for a singing wake
Happy haunts materialize
And begin to vocalize
Grim grinning ghosts come out to socialize
Now don't close your eyes
And don't try to hide
Or a silly spook may sit by your side
Shrouded in a daft disguise
They pretend to terrorize
Grim grinning ghosts come out to socialize
As the moon climbs high o'er dead oak tree
Spooks arrive for the midnight spree
Creepy creeps with eerie eyes
Start to shriek and harmonize
Grim grinning ghosts come out socialize
When you hear the knell of a requiem bell
Weird glows gleam where spirits dwell
Restles bones etherealize
Rise as spooks of every size
Grim grinning ghosts come out to socialize
Grim grinning ghosts come out
Grim grinning ghosts come out
To socialize
Disney UA-camrs love to discuss this. Look up Offhand Disney, he has literally hours of discussion on the story of the Haunted Mansion.
This legitimately does sound like a better movie.
Jango Yifftail it still sounds kinda lame to me. Also I don’t see the point in exchanging Eddie Murphy for will smith, when Eddie Murphy is capable of pulling off a trickster type
@@AJSSPACEPLACE yeah because he played that kind of character before and that’s what some jerk with a camera had said in his review was that Eddie Murphy wasn’t the kind of actor who would play a family man but more so a trickster
I'm impressed how dark yet kid-friendly this was.
I tip my hat to you, sir... well done!💀🎩

9:45 I just realized, they gave Will Smith's character the same failing he had in Shark Tale
Because will smith play Oscar from shark tale
So we have Will Smith as a con artist who gets himself in trouble after betting his money on the races. OMG, it's "Shark Tale!" ;)
But not a steaming pile of CGI horse shite
😳
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I know, right!
Send this to Disney.... SEND THIS TO DISNEY.....BOB IGER GET THIS PRODUCED AND END YOUR TENURE AT DISNEY ON A HIGH NOTE!!!
I honestly think this would be really good as a remake.
Also, Doug has a really crazy villain voice. I like it
A disneyland cinematic universe, could that be a thing.
More importantly could that be a good thing
There's already impetus for such a thing. The Society of Explorers & Adventurers, or S.E.A. for short, is a fictional organization that Disney has been slowly integrating into many of its attractions throughout the world. It connects Tokyo's Tower of Terror, Hong Kong's Mystic Manor, the Disney Cruise Liners, Big Thunder... even the "world-famous" Jungle Cruise has received a retroactive backstory linking it to S.E.A. Maybe the film releasing next year will act as a kick-off to an all new cinematic Disney ride universe. Or so we can hope.
SaccadicSableye so it's like buy n' large in pixar that could potentially be something clever if they use it right
SaccadicSableye or dread depending on how they handle it
Definitely. I'd love to see distinct plots and characters, but with a cameo or reference here or there to tie it all together. Hopefully Disney won't overmilk the concept, Jack Sparrow style.
@@SaccadicSableye what do you mean? The pirates movies are good
Honestly this is a better version. I like the idea of using Phantom Manor as the setting better than the original Haunted Mansion. Phantom Manor has a well-built backstory and it is definitely darker than the original ride in Anaheim. Before all of you get angry about what I just said, I love the original ride. It has it’s scary but Phantom Manor has more genuine terror.
The casting choices are better. Will Smith as a con artist would be perfect for a redemption story arc. He still had the charisma at the time and this would be before Shark Tale. Also, I like the idea of Leota being an actual human instead of a gypsy ghost stuck in the mansion.
Now about the references, I agree. I rather it not overdo the references to the ride. Less is more in this case. BTW, Great idea to reference the Hatbox Ghost in your version the film. It would have increased curiosity about The Hatbox Ghost at the time, and this would have been prior to his return to the original mansion.
All in all, this could have been a better movie than what we got.
I don’t think that’s why people like the original HM though. Part of the charm is the conflicting tones and the strange mishmash of story elements, characters, and atmosphere that creates something greater than the sum of it’s parts.
Honestly, my ideal Haunted Mansion adaption would be an animated series, focusing more on the colorful characters and humor, with some sort of ongoing mystery to tie everything together, along the lines of “The Ghost Post” ARG, WDI put out a few years ago, rather than trying to force a Cohesive narrative.
The only thing I would change is instead of the caretaker confronting Henry, it’d be Melanie. Think about it: Melanie realizes that the parent she loved and trusted has demolished her hometown and killed the people in it turning it into a figurative and literal ghost town, sheltered her away from the rest of the world and murdered all her suitors, just so Henry could keep Melanie as though she was just another one of his gold pieces.
Malcolm’s Will Smith impression is spot on 👌
I know, Malcolm just blew me away in this proposed script 🥰🥰🥰
A. I’m half expecting the phantom to yell out, “I’ll get you next time, He-Man!”
Or
B. He’ll appear on above the bride and yell, “MYSTERY INCORPORATED!”, then realise he’s in the wrong movie and Raja Gosnel was impatiently waiting for him to arrive on set
The fan film was better than actually movie
"But they'd also be busy"
Dude you've thought of everything
True
I live in Arizona. For those who don’t know, coyotes are usually tricksters in the myths and legends of southwestern tribes. I think that’s what Warner Bros might have been thinking of when they made Wile E. Coyote, he’s funny because he’s such a failure in the trickster department compared to his forebears. Anyway, I immediately had a pretty idea she was talking about Smith’s character when I heard “coyote”, even before she said “trickster”. XD
TBustah
I‘ve also heard stories where coyotes are greedy idiots and are the ones getting tricked by other animals like the rabbit, kind of like the wolf in European folklore, we had to read this stuff for class. But I think the trickster thing makes more sense regarding their behavior, they just sort of look like wolves but behave more like foxes(who are universally interpreted as smart and cunning).
Hi. Where can I read myths and legends like these? How do I search for them?
KawaiiPinkPunkStar I dunno, just Google it. I’m not an expert or anything, it’s just something everyone in the southwest is kind of aware of, like how legends of the Ong and water babies are back home in northern Nevada.
I love trickster stories!
Please a Fanscription of the Percy Jackson movie. It broke my heart the way it didn’t even touch on the book’s plot. It made me never see the sequels, even though I loved the books in middle school! Please fix it!
Here’s how I would do it:
Directed By Tim Burton.
Music By Danny Elfman.
Rated PG-13 (Hard PG-13).
Jeff Goldblum as The Film’s Main Protagonist.
Demi Moore as Jeff Goldblum’s Wife.
Frankie Muniz as Jeff Goldblum’s Son.
Christy Carlson Romano as Jeff Goldblum’s Daughter.
Johnny Depp as Master Gracey.
Michael Keaton as Hat Box Ghost.
Glenn Close as Madame Leoata.
Alan Rickman as The Film’s Main Antagonist.
Jack Nicholson as Hitchhiking Ghost #1.
Danny Devitio as Hitchhiking Ghost #2.
Warwick Davis as Hitchhiking Ghost #3.
Terence Stamp as The Butler (He plays a good guy. He helps out the main characters).
If only Alan Rickman were still alive
Only if it's 80-90's Tim Burton. New Tim Burton only releases 90% shit..
Who would you cast for the Bride?
@@willlyon7129I think that Demi Moore would also play that character if Sara/Elizabeth look the same
While this version would be neat to see, I liked the backstory they created for the 2003 movie. And to be fair they were trying to give the haunted mansion an original story like they did pirates. But just throwing Eddie Murphy into a movie and hope he's funny was a bit much to ask. Why not just a version where just the character Jim is taken out of the equation and its Sarah that the hero? Like she's a young widow trying to move on but she keeps finding herself doing everything she did while her husband was alive and not really talking about it. It's not helping her kids and theres a strain to their relationship. Plus being a single mom trying to provide for her kids by always working is more relatable. So she stops by the mansion with the kids, hoping the sale of this house will let her pay some bills and free up time with her kids. Then the movie plays out pretty much as before, only it's the kids who have to save their mom and figure out the mystery. Meanwhile Sarah is genuinely attracted to Gracey and finds him charming. Confused because he feels the same way, but because Sarah is so different from his lost love. But he stubbornly holds onto his belief that Sarah is Elizabeth and que the ghostly ballroom dancers. Ramsley nabs the kids, but they get saved by the maid and butler, truly redeeming them. The kids interrupts the ceremony telling Edward the truth and its Edward who fights Ramsley off until he's dragged to hell. Elizabeth reveals herself, and Edward is finally ready to move on. As is Sarah. Six months later, Sarah does turn the mansion into a haunted hotel, luring in ghosts hunters. One of whom looks exactly like Edward. He and Sarah hit it off, him asking if the place is truly haunted. She smiles and tells him oh yeah, it's practically a retirement home for ghosts. Which is when she leads him to the ballroom where the ghosts are celebrating and partying.
Taking Eddie Murphy out of the film is absolutely needed, but maybe cut one of the kids in favour of say an aunt or maybe one of Sarah's parents? It just seems like having two kids (who always fight as siblings do and are almost always one boy and one girl) is overdone? Maybe having some different conflicts like the kid liking the aunt more (who is of course not the most responsible, or maybe just seems to have it more together, might change things up rather than the usual "two siblings in a G film save the day"), or maybe if its an elderly parent you could play into the "coming back as a ghost" if they died before the events of the film or DURING the events of the film... I do agree the original setting/back story had potential...
Dylan Bohaychuk there are no bad actors. Only bad directors and writers.
Although Disneyland’s Haunted Mansion doesn’t have one exact background story, the imagineers who created it alongside Walt had a few stories that did end up making it into the 2003 movie. It wasn’t nearly as in depth and cohesive to Phantom Manor, but it was cool to see them expand on the small side stories that the imagineers were floating when creating the attraction.
That all said- Eddie Murphy had me rolling my eyes as a 10 year old.
Oh my gosh I love this version 😭😭 I'm in the same boat, cause I really like the set up of Gracey and Elizabeth and really like the concept of him thinking she's his lost love. This was amazing.
I like this because it introduces the theme of loss and moving on--much like the Haunted Mansion Marvel comic from a few years back. (In that, the protagonist was a teenage boy who missed his recently deceased grandfather.) That's a much better fit for a Haunted Mansion story than the standard cookie-cutter "workaholic-parent-learns-to-value-their-family" that we've seen a million times.

That was fun! I would really like to see this happen! I know Guillermo del Toro originally talked about doing a remake of the Haunted Mansion and we have yet to see that come to light. It would be cool if it were something similar to this rescript.
del Toro is the right director for this remake, like...insanely fit for this
Here in 2023 a week before the new Haunted Mansion is set to release.
I *love* the amount of Phantom of the Opera references there are
I remember always going on the Haunted Mansion DVD ride in the Special Features.
And Eddie Murphy saying "Hi I'm Jim Evers from Jim Evers real estate, what's your name?" to a zombie.
This is such a specific memory that I also share. Bless.
This is fun. Mind if I try?
How about this: The mansion already has a reputation for being haunted, although it's not given much credence, and is in fact something of a tourist trap which has dried up. Jim is still trying to sell Sarah and her kids the place, he's still a shyster selling problem homes to rubes (I think we could drop the Keaton character altogether), and Sarah's ambition is still the same. They arrive at the "infamous" haunted mansion, and the atmosphere is underwhelming.
Madame Leota is closer to her original depiction, a local psychic who plays up the stereotype with a turban and a crystal ball and all the trappings (she's still a Native American, but it's under a laughable facade). She acts as something of a carnival barker. Clyde the Caretaker is much the same, but even more so, becoming a caricature of the creepy yokel in slasher fics who warns foolish young people to stay away from a cursed location.
Jim instantly recognizes them as fellow con-artists, and at first he comes to the conclusion that they're merely trying to play up the local legend to encourage tourism. Game recognizes game. This ties his expertise to the plot, as he's a con who's facing down a con. But he soon realizes that something is strange. The efforts of Leota and Clyde (and a few other sketchy townsfolk straight out of central casting) seem too direct, too clearly transparent, and they're all oddly insistent on maintaining their facade even though, as he explains, a new buyer might actually invigorate the local community, which has become so scarce that their pretense seems pointless. He begins to suspect that something else is going on.
As he and the family stay the night despite the "dire warnings" they're predictably subjected to gimmicks which mimic a haunting. The kids are troubled by dreams, but beyond that the only significant happenings are staged. Jim sees this clearly, but, again, something is off. The act is far too obvious, almost calculated to disappoint. He even catches Clyde banging on pipes or something, barely trying to hide. In fact, it's so clear that the "ghosts" are nothing more than props that Jim realizes their only purpose could be to convince anyone staying at the Mansion that it's NOT actually haunted! He talks it over with Sarah and the two begin to notice genuinely eerie red flags.
The dam breaks when they find something, say, a skeleton in the crawl space or an extremely old photograph of Leota and Clyde. The ground shakes, and the house's interior twists and conforms into a nightmare, trapping Jim and the family inside. It's revealed that Leota, Clyde, and the townies had been doing everything they could to fool the public into thinking that the house was nothing but a second-rate attraction, because as soon as the living truly suspect the existence of the supernatural it empowers genuine ghosts to become active. The Phantom rises and the set-pieces begin.
And then... oh, man, I dunno. I'm tired now. Maybe I'll come back to it later. This stuff is hard.
I imagine Leota and Clyde trying to break the family from the outside while subject to a few of the signature specters from the classic ride...All with the TRUE mystery of Ravenwood Manor unfolding before the family's eyes as they try to fend off the Phantom.
That's a damn good twist! Trying to convince a place ISN'T haunted. Cool idea dude. :)
When you said “We aren’t going to base it on the ride” I was about to go all up in arms and say that there’s plenty of material to base it on, particularly Phantom Manor. Glad I waited to make my comment.
I liked that little callback to Shark Tale with Diamondback. Really gave me vibes of Lucky Day
This was a great revamp story. Hope Disney learns of this video and decides to use it
Update Disney kinda did use ideas from this. Spoilers
I’m so glad I wasn’t the only one who thought Phantom Manor would’ve been perfect for the movie to take place. And it wouldn’t change the original plot too much at the core as improvements are made. Great job I’d watch your version. Though the HM movie is more of a guilty pleasure nowadays lol.
Y'know, I can actually see this being an actual film *today.*
It's fun, has a great scare factor, and the plot and characters are worthy of a Disney masterpiece.
However, I'd love to see either an alternate version or a sequel with a greater mystery feel to it, with a detective as a major character.
I'm one of the few people that liked the movie but I would totally see this version. I thought replacing Eddie Murphy with Will Smith was a great idea. Hopefully we'll see this version someday.

Lmao 🤣
I liked the original Haunted Mansion movie, but this version is good too.
It's a shame that The Haunted Mansion never reached the status of Pirates of the Caribbean.
Heh. Still pretty goofy and similar to the original, but definitely an improvement. You know what's interesting, Phantom Manor actually follows closer to what the original Haunted Mansion was supposed to be. So, really, you could connect the pieces of this movie way back to first conceptions of the Haunted Mansion. So yeah, I would keep most of this stuff, but maybe instead of going directly with Thunder Mesa (the overarching storyline of Disneyland Paris' Frontierland where this all takes place), I would probably pull more from the original storyline. Basically just replace the Southwestern theme with an ocean theme. It would be the New Orleans Square version rather than the Frontierland version. Hell, it could even tie in with Pirates of the Caribbean the way it's supposed to at Disneyland. Now only one question remains. Could their be a sequel to this version of the movie that ties into Haunted Mansion Holiday? You know, it would kill two birds with one stone. A sequel to Nightmare Before Christmas AS WELL as a sequel to Haunted Mansion.
I feel like that would make a fun animated special, actually. The idea of Jack finally finding people who are just as enthusiastic about his ideas of Christmas is adorable, and you could incorporate some fan favorite characters from both franchises.
This sounds FUCKING PERFECT this is an amazing movie idea send it to Hollywood try and get them to make this movie this sounds awesome and yeah in recent years I've realised the haunted mansion movie does suck I saw it as a kid and thought it was fine but know not so much

This is a wonderful idea for a Haunted Mansion movie! Plus, it has Will Smith, I'd watch that kind of movie! I also like the name, "The Haunted Mansion Dead and Breakfast".
This sounds cool. Definitely a better story than the Haunted Manson
Somebody call Disney, this is one reboot we deserve!!!
This is absolutely fantastic!! The recasting is wonderful!! I think the retelling of this story is outstanding. I could totally get behind this story getting made! (begins typing on computer) (looks up from computer) dont mind me I'm only writing the adaptation to this storyline! (Snobbishly) move along. Move along.
P.S. honestly I agree the Phantom Manor at Disneyland Paris has a better backstory then the one at Disneyland California.
P.S.S. Your Will Smith and Michael Keaton impersonation are flames!!
We need to get this crowdfunded!
What does crowdfunded mean?
I would genuinely see this if disney made a movie like this
I'm so glad you fixed this. As a fan of the ride, it's lore, and haunted mansions in general- I salute you!
Edit: I love the inclusion of Phantom Manor lore and the ending of the house stating haunted.
Got to say. PLEASE remake the movie with this type of storyline. The plot is perfect. The choice of cast makes it interesting and the scare-goofy ratio is balanced. It'll be worth watching again and again.
Sounds good. I like how you got some good Will Smith dialogue in there.
Finding out about the phantom manor story, I Thought it would have been so cool if instead of the lone ranger that Jerry Bruckheimer made A thunder Mountain Railroad movie
Hit Kickstarter, let's get this baby on tape.
This is amazing. A Fanfiction with sound and pictures. Make more of this please!
I have an idea for a fanscription:
The Tower Of Terror got a movie made off of it in 1997, but this movie didn’t incorporate elements from the Twilight Zone, instead making it a witch/curse/redemption story.
Now, I know that for copyright reasons they couldn’t do a Twilight Zone themed movie for it, but what if the movie did function as a Twilight Zone story? What story could you make about 60 years after five people disappeared in an elevator?
Disney could offset the lack of a Twilight Zone motif with the look and narrative from Tokyo SEA's version of the ride.
But would you keep the opening? Because I would.
Bleu Blud I would, yeah
Dude look up old commercials for that ride! They're short but effective!
melvin shermen I do really like that backstory, but I still want it to have a TZ connection
Foolish, you cannot fix what is already perfection.
I’m gonna keep commenting on this but please review the Addams Family Reunion, it has Tim Curry as Gomez ;you know you want to see it!
Bed knobs and broom sticks is one of my favourite Disney movies ever!
That's a decent impression of Will Smith.
What will it take to get this version made? Seriously. Even if we change the name from "The haunted Mansion" to "The curse of Thunder Railroad"; this version is seriously the epic Disney is missing. This re-write is simply beautiful. Someone needs to push this into production. Make it happen!
I would actually keep the ride’s name “The Phantom Manor”
I must admit, it sounds like an interesting film! But you’d still think that characters like the one played by Michael Keaton would get some sort of comeuppance at the end (seeing as this would be a Disney film). Also, one detail I would add is that the train would dive into the earth or into a fiery crevice, to give viewers an idea of what the train’s final destination is...
Other than that, your idea sounds great! Definitely a lot of love was put into it!
P.S. If you guys are wondering, the Phantom Manor ride does show what happened to Melanie’s previous suitors, or rather, what Henry Ravenswood did to them. Barry Claude got killed by bears, Sawyer Bottom got sliced in half inside a sawmill, Captain Rowan D. Falls (probably not related to Dr. Albert Falls) was sent over a waterfall in a boat, and Ignatius ‘Iggy’ Knight got blown up.
Maybe not an popular opinion but I actually really liked the back-/lovestory of Edward Gracey and Elisabeth in the movie as well as the costumes and the mansion it self
I agree and while the references to ride did get too gimmicky in comparison to the few in Pirates of the Caribbean I enjoyed them. Especially the fortune teller in the crystal ball. I understand what Nostalgia Critic was saying about her but she was also my favorite part of the movie, even when the instruments are chasing after Eddie Murphy's character without her
This definitely sounds like a better movie and one I'd pay to see. Awesome job as usual. I still love the look of the mansion in the movie though and that positive will never change. Everything else is hit or miss but the look of the house itself was amazing.
This was great to listen to. I loved the story, and could really imagine it in my head. I hope you do more.
Dude I want this movie-UUUUGGHHH PLEASE!!!!
Cheesy predictable improvement but a huge improvement nonetheless
The impressions of Michael Keaton and Will Smith are amazing!
So why haven't you guys already started filming?
like, seriously. this script is lit.
Honestly waiting for a video like this. THM had a lot of problems as many point out, but not so many want to talk about how the movie can be edited so other writers and filmmakers can learn from the mistakes. It should serve as an example of how not to write a script for and direct a film that should be creepy and scary to the fans who adore the attraction, and those looking for some frightful fun from Disney. Thank you for posting this!
I don't know if it's just a coincidence, but the 2023 Haunted Mansion movie had some of the same ideas from this video. The main guy and a single mom become love interests, the son says how the main guy isn't his dad in which he agrees and is just trying to be a friend, the mom thinking of the mansion being a bed & breakfast, and the ghosts staying in the end. I'm not saying Disney stole ideas from this movie, but it just seems too much of a coincidence.
They probably did tbh
Disney: We don't know how to make a good Haunted Mansion movie.
Rob: Well, there's always... my way.
I am very curious how long this took you. Fixing the mess that this original movie was could not have been an easy task, especially since you had to change 100% of it

These have quickly become my favourite videos on Channel Awesome. Your script writing is brilliant!
Great reimagining. I would watch it.
One small nitpick: In my personal opinion, the villain defeat in the original movie (being dragged to hell itself by a giant serpent made of fire) is much more epic than this version of the defeat (just being forced into the afterlife by a train).
Maybe one of the miners that's Native American can take his wind instrument out and snake dance the fire snake into dragging Henry to the train instead?
This story was absolutely awesome and fun. A great balance of creepy and humor!!!😃👏👏👏
This is always a bittersweet section of the channel. Great scripts that will never be real, but they should be. :)
Now this is a reboot we would happily enjoy. Someone get Disney on the phone!
Here in 2023 watching this a week before the new Haunted Mansion movie.
Also, this is not a Haunted Mansion movie, this is a Phantom Manor movie, and I love it!
All of the new changes and character dynamics work well, but there is one character I would like adapted differently in this version. Madame Leota is a classic member of the dead at the Haunted Mansion so making her character living just sort of threw me off. I think it would have been a pinch better if Madame Leota was just another spectre the main characters saw and didn't realize wasn't actually there. And towards the end of the movie, we find out from the townspeople that madame leota has been dead for years, this way she still gets good scenes without distracting too much while retaining her truly mystical status
Ok here's the thing, I love the Eddie Murphy haunted Mansion movie. It's great. It's literally the first thing I watched when I bought Disney+. Also I think this would make a great movie too. So I'm here for it, but I still love the 2003 haunted Mansion movie.🤷🏼
I love this version, it's more intense but doesn't skip out on the humor. I like this series so please keep it up!
I remember when The Haunted Mansion movie first came, as i have always been a big disney fan couldn't wait to see it. It was crap. I expected so much more. But this idea and story i LOVE! I was glued to the seat till the end. Please disney we need remastered movie of The Haunted Mansion
My brother, also, thought to use the Phantom Manner in his take. The cool thing is, they can still do this. They can even do the Vincent Price cameo with the mocap mask.
Sequel idea: A group of paranormal investigators doing a web show in New Orleans decide to investigate a dilapidated mansion rumored to be haunted by the spirit of Constance Hatchaway, aka The Black Widow Bride, a 19th century serial killer of local legend.
“Wandering aimlessly, singing songs of lost love, for all eternity”
Accurate description of my love life
Same. 😂
This is really good. I'd watch the heck out of this!!!
That version would be a lot of fun! I didn’t know the story of Disneyland Paris’s Haunted Mansion, but I really like it. Adding Big Thunder Mountain is a good touch. That backstory and setting kind of gives it a “Holes” vibe, but in a way that doesn’t take away from the main Haunted Mansion plot. Much better than it just being a movie about people randomly being chased by ghosts and screaming like idiots.
Dude this sounds AMAZING! I love how you did the dialogue too!
I liked this way more than the actual movie. Good work Rob.
I like this idea for a show of fixing bad movies. So many reviews just say what's bad about movies and not how to FIX it. The only problem I had with with the treatment was that American audience won't know the story from the French Haunted Mansion. Not a big deal. You were right in that is a great story, but I don't think we'd know the French story. Still keep these ideas coming.
I do have to say the butler from the Haunted Mansion is something that will forever stay with me. The one thing I would never change
I also like how the movie combined Master Gracey, the Aging Man, and Ghost Host/Hanging Man/Hanged Man characters into one; Edward Gracey. It just seems fitting to have all of them be the same person. The host not being the master of the mansion just doesn’t make sense.
Looked forward to this! Promise to watch this after the stream
