- If you have decided to purchase a Sawgrass sublimation printer, this Sawgrass ink guide is for you! You will need to decide which ink to purchase to put in your printer. Currently, there are three types of Sawgrass ink on the market. You want to choose wisely as you want to stick with the same ink that you first use to charge your printer. I use Siser! And now that Kodak is On the market with DTF supplies I wouldn’t use anything else yes it’s a lot more expensive but who better to handle your color then Kodak just my opinion
I need help I just got my sg500 and I ran out of magenta and I just ordered siser magenta but my printer has the ink in it that came with it all I do is bleached t shirts did I waste my money or can I still use that ink
You need to use the same type of ink that is in the printer. So whatever the cartridge says that is in there you should replace with the same type.
My printer came with sublijet. However, I have noticed that my prints are grainy when printing on the easysubli. Will the prints be sharper on the easysubli with the easysubli ink? Just asking, not going to switch inks though because I love how the sublijet prints on sub paper. I may, at a later date, get another sawgrass printer and use easysubli ink for that one, if the prints are sharper on the easysubli.
The Sublijet will technically work with EasySubli but the EasySubli inks are specifically formulated to work with it so yes it will probably be a better result.

I'm loving the videos. Still struggling on the ink choice. My mind says will the NON siser subli ink print on paper and then be able to be used with the siser easy subli htv.? And can both inks be used for sublimation on mugs etc? Can I print siser ink on paper for mugs? Or does it have to be only used for the siser htv? I'm getting confused but mostly interested the limitations. I keep seeing it used on shirts. For the siser ink but nervous it will only work on shirts. Right now I'm leaning towards the original sawgrass ink and hoping I can use the second method to put it on a dark colored shirt. Oh the options. Amazing videos and I have shared the links already
Both inks will work on ALL surfaces. And work well on ALL surfaces. The EasySubli is just better for the EasySubli product.
I just got my Sawgrass printer and it came with Siser ink. I am already needing to order ink. As long as I use ink for Sawgrass, is it ok to mix brands?
No. Stick with one ink type and one ink brand.

Hi Angie, do you consider using Continuous ink on sawgrass printer instead of buying a refill cartridge? continuous ink is the empty cartridge that you can refill anytime, please kindly reply
I would only use actual sawgrass ink.
If I used the subli easy hd starter pack can I use Siser easy subli when I buy my next ink
You would use the same ink as before. So if you have SIser ink, then put the siser ink.

Yep! I use my EasyPress regularly!
If you have the regular ink, can you replace it to the easy sublimation when replacing inks?
A Sawgrass printer, which I am talking about here, does not use regular ink. There are printers like the Epson EcoTank that you can add sublimation ink to but that would not the be Sawgrass ink. For those printers, you can change them over but you do need to drain and flush the regular ink out.
I used the starter Ink My Sawgrass came with it wasn’t Easy Subli , am I stuck with the 20 ML jet Inc.
It is probably SubliJet ink. That is fine! It will still work!
I don't use anything easysubli, but I purchased that ink when buying my printer as I didn't know there were even other ink options. Is it still just as good on polyester as the Sublijet UHD ink? When we tested it on some polycotton shirts, the color on some faded after one wash.
It is just as good. Not sure why you would have had issues unless it was a high cotton count?
@@AngieHolden we figured it out! It was the paper that came with the printer. For some reason the TruePix just did not at all work out for us. Changed paper and it was perfect!

I was told and experienced that sawgrass printers only work with their very expensive ink. That’s why I sold mine. Am I missing something ?
These are all Sawgrass inks. There are different types of ink that they sell for their printers.
What if I’ve already use sawgrass ink. So I can’t change. I don’t use it much.
These are all inks made by Sawgrass and it will be fine to keep using the same version you chose.

Hi! I am new to the sublimation printing game. Why does it smell so bad when I use my heat press?
I recently spent the money to buy a good quality heat press from a reputable company, but every time I use it there is a vapor/steam when it's done printing and I release the clamp. I open my window but the fumes are really strong smelling and I get a headache when I use it. Has anyone else experienced this? Does it go away? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
That is just a part of sublimation. Generally with a new heat press it is worse for a while.

Do you have to use Sawgrass ink with Sawgrass sublimation printers? I’m leaning toward the Sawgrass, but the inks are so expensive.
You do need to use Sawgrass inks so you do not void your warranty.
If someone could figure out how to convert a sawgrass into a ciss (continuous ink supply system) I would buy a sawgrass in a heartbeat. I do not want to pay thousands of dollars on sawgrass ink. I would buy an epson ecotank sublimation printer.
